  • Patent number: 10807344
Abstract: Thermal insulation structures include a polymer foam layer adhered to a multi-layer sheet having a non-cellular layer of a heat-resistant thermoplastic and a second non-cellular layer of a polylactide resin. The polylactide resin is a surprisingly good barrier to the diffusion of atmospheric gases into the foam layer and of blowing agents out of the foam layer. Accordingly, the diffusion of atmospheric gases and blowing agents is retarded substantially. This greatly reduces the loss of thermal insulation capacity of the structure due to the replacement of the blowing agent with atmospheric gases. The multi-layer sheet exhibits excellent thermal stability, even when the polylactide in the polylactide layer is highly amorphous.

  • Patent number: 10810564
Abstract: A decision support system initially determines in response to the creation of a customer ticket a customer's driving style in accordance with user responses and input regarding driving habits and preferences, and calculates a driving style algorithm. The system compares the driving style algorithm to car tire profiles and determines which tires are best suited to the customer's driving style algorithm. Upon said determination, the selected car tires are presented to the customer for final selection in a comprehensive service platform environment for creating, forwarding, performing, and completing customer tickets amongst front end devices comprising a computer kiosk and a customer's mobile device, and a back end device comprising an employee's mobile device. Tickets created via a front end device are forwarded for performance to the back end device, wherein upon completion of service the ticket is finalized and forwarded back to a front end device for review and payment.

  • Patent number: 10809726
Abstract: A set of driving scenarios are determined for different types of vehicles. Each driving scenario corresponds to a specific movement of a particular type of autonomous vehicles. For each of the driving scenarios of each type of autonomous vehicles, a set of driving statistics is obtained, including driving parameters used to control and drive the vehicle, a driving condition at the point in time, and a sideslip caused by the driving parameters and the driving condition under the driving scenario. A driving scenario/sideslip mapping table or database is constructed. The scenario/sideslip mapping table includes a number of mapping entries. Each mapping entry maps a particular driving scenario to a sideslip that is calculated based on the driving statistics. The scenario/sideslip mapping table is utilized subsequently to predict the sideslip under the similar driving environment, such that the driving planning and control can be compensated.

  • Patent number: 10810332
Abstract: A method is provided for simulating communication between a client system and application entity via an application interface, thereby enabling integration testing with a simulation apparatus. Data is transmitted from the simulation apparatus to the application entity via the application interface, and the simulation apparatus records outputs along with contexts and respective latencies. The client system transmits requests to the simulation apparatus which returns simulated responses based on the stored outputs having similar contexts, and with artificial latencies replicating the previously recorded latencies. Other events generated in the application entity may also be recorded and simulated accordingly. Reporting and analytical data may be provided to identify potential performance issues and other errors prior to direct integration of the client system and application interface.

  • Patent number: 10812250
Abstract: Interference cancellation in a receiver can be used to improve bandwidth efficiency. The transmission of bursts from different terminals scheduled at separate time intervals can overlap partially such that time used for information transmission is optimized. For example, a receiver includes a signal processor including instructions executable to select first data including a first burst and a successive second burst from a transmission. The signal processor demodulates and decodes information from the first burst. The signal processor further generates a remodulated first burst based on recoded and remodulated information and generates second data by subtracting the remodulated first burst from the first data. The signal processor synchronizes with a stored symbol pattern in the second burst; and demodulates and decodes the information from the second burst. With such arrangement, the performance of each link is not affected by the partially overlapping burst.

  • Patent number: 10808436
Abstract: A motor vehicle secondary hood latch release mechanism comprises a striker, a primary hood latch, and a secondary hood latch. A remote secondary hood latch release device actuates the secondary hood latch only after a primary hood latch switch provides a signal to the controller indicating that the primary hood latch is in the disengaged position. A hood sensor provides a signal when the hood has been lifted to the open condition. The controller actuates the secondary hood latch to the disengaged position for a prescribed period of time upon actuation of a vehicle system input device, and thereafter the controller actuates the secondary hood latch to the engaged position upon the earlier of expiration of the prescribed time or the hood sensor providing the signal to the controller that the hood has been lifted to the open condition.
