  • Patent number: 10803014
Abstract: Improving data retrieval by a computer, the data stored exclusively in the computer as a structure comprising a plurality of nodes connected by edges, wherein the edges indicate relationships among the plurality of nodes, and wherein the structure further comprise properties which store information that relate to the plurality of nodes. Metadata is stored as part of the structure, the metadata defining rules for updating the relationships among the plurality of nodes. A command is received to update at least one of the nodes, the edges, or the properties. The at least one of the nodes, the edges, or the properties, are updated according to the rules defined by the metadata.

  • Patent number: 10799104
Abstract: A spreadable laryngoscope for improving visualization of a larynx or back of a throat is described herein. The laryngoscope comprises a handle having a handle compartment, a fixed blade and a pivotable blade extending from the handle, and a spreading mechanism. In a normal or resting position, the pivotable blade lies parallel to and beside the fixed blade such that the fixed blade and the pivotable blade are side to side. To activate the spreading mechanism, a lever arm is depressed such that the lever arm is moved towards the handle, which causes a connecting arm to pivot about a pivot rod. This, in turn, causes a pivoting arm to move, which moves and pivots a blade bracket of the pivotable blade within the handle compartment. The pivotable blade pivots away from the fixed blade, thereby placing the blades in a spreaded position.

  • Patent number: 10801622
Abstract: Supported face seal assemblies and related methods are disclosed. The supported face seal assemblies have spring energized seal element supported by a backing ring. When the two components are joined, they form an interlocking face seal assembly that is less prone to separate during installation and/or service. The methods disclosed include the steps of forming a spring energized sealing element with a convex outer surface, forming a backup or support ring with a concave inner surface, assembling the sealing element into the inner bore of the backup or support ring such that the concave inner surface accepts a portion of the convex outer surface and the sealing element is retained within the backup or support ring.

  • Patent number: 10802715
Abstract: The mounting a drive to two or more computing systems. For instance, the drive may be mounted to a first computing system so as to be writable (and potentially readable) by the first computing system. But also, the drive is also mounted to one or more other computing systems so as to be only readable by those one or more computing systems. This allows for multiple computing systems to have access to the drive without risk that the data thereon will become corrupt. In one embodiment, the only user data stored on that drive is a single file of fixed size. Thus, even when user data is written into the fixed-size file, the management data stored (that keeps track of the files) on the drive does not change.

  • Patent number: 10802681
Abstract: An actionable event notification disclosed herein provides actionable push notifications that allow an application server to collect information from end users. The actionable event notification includes a notification server that receives notification requests from application servers and communicates notifications to users where the notifications include specification for a notification UI form. In one implementation, the notification server modifies the callback identification on the notification from identification for the application server to identification for the notification server. A client device presents the notification UI form to a user to receive user responses. The user responses are communicated back to the notification server. The notification server processes the user responses and communicates them to the application server as necessary. Alternatively, the user responses are communicated directly to the application server requesting the notifications.

  • Patent number: 10805988
Abstract: A warming blanket (8) has a metalized fabric exterior layer and a heating element formed from a random fiber carbon veil material (52). A conductive ink layer (56) is deposited onto opposite side edges of the carbon veil material as side rails. Lower conductive strips (58) are attached onto a bottom edge of the carbon veil material. Each lower conductive strip is electrically coupled to a side rail. The lower conductive strips have connecting ends (60) which are spaced from each other so as to accept a connection circuit board. Side conductive strips (62) are coupled to the conductive ink side rails. Electrical current controlled by the connection circuit board is passed through the carbon veil material to create heat.
