Abstract: A controller controls Pulse Width Modulation (PWM) signals of one or more phases. The controller includes a phase sequencer to select a phase, a common ramp generator generating a common ramp signal, a phase activation circuit to turn on the PWM signal of the selected phase based on the common ramp signal, and for each phase a Current Sense plus Ramp (CSR) signal generator to generate a phase CSR signal according to a current of the phase and a phase deactivation circuit to turn off the PWM signal of the phase based on the phase CSR signal. A method of controlling PWM phases comprises selecting a phase, generating a common ramp signal, turning on the PWM signal of the selected phase based on the common ramp signal, generating CSR signals according to currents of the phases, and turning off the PWM signals based on the respective CSR signals.

Abstract: Embodiments of the instrument inventory system create, record and enable access of data about collections of instruments and tools such as surgical instruments and dental instruments. The instrument inventory system includes at least one user interface, at least one instrument interface, an instrument processor and a database storing instrument records. The instrument inventory system includes a training function which enables the system to create a data record for new instruments when the system encounters new instruments.

Abstract: Implementations of methods of singulating a plurality of die comprised in a substrate may include forming a plurality of die on a first side of a substrate, forming a backside metal layer on a second side of a substrate, applying a polymer layer over the backside metal layer and forming a groove entirely through the polymer layer and partially through a thickness of the backside metal layer. The groove may be located in a die street of the substrate. The method may also include etching through a remaining portion of the backside metal layer located in the die street, removing the polymer layer, singulating the plurality of die in the substrate by removing substrate material in the die street.

Abstract: An automotive vehicle has a fixed glass panel with an aperture and a sliding glass panel mounted to the fixed glass panel adapted to selectably cover the aperture. The glass panels carry a heater grid having a plurality of vertical bus bars interconnected by a plurality of horizontal defrost traces. The bus bars are configured to be selectably connected to a power supply for providing resistive heating. The sliding glass panel is limited to a plurality of restricted positions. Each restricted position has at least one bus bar on the sliding glass panel overlapping one of the bus bars on the fixed glass panel to provide capacitive coupling between the overlapping bus bars of RF signals impinging on the horizontal traces. An antenna coupler connected to a bus bar on the fixed glass panel transmits the RF signals to an RF receiver.

Abstract: The present application is a method and system for presenting game-related information. A system for presenting game-related information may include an initiator device, the initiator device including a computing device which includes an application executed by a processor of the computing devices to generate game-related information, a display device operably connected to the initiator device to display game-related information from the initiator device, and a cloud-based server device operably connected to the initiator device for receipt of the game-related information. The system for presenting game related information may include a receiver device, the receiver device including a computing device which includes an application executed by a processor of the computing device to receive the game-related information from the cloud-based server device.

Abstract: A network may provide latency optimization by configuring respective latency values of one or more network components. A latency manager may receive a request indicative of a maximum latency value of a communications path between two devices, and may determine a particular network latency value. The latency manager may then determine respective endpoint latency values for endpoint devices based on the maximum latency value and network latency values. In addition, buffer characteristics, such as buffer depth at particular devices, may be adjusted in view of the latencies.

Abstract: An assistive mobility device comprising a seat and knee pad, the knee pad arranged to lift a person in a kneeling position into said seat and stabilize said person in said seat, maintaining supportive contact with the person's legs. The seat and knee pad each have an independent rotational tilt adjustment and can be raised and lowered together.

Abstract: Certain example embodiments relate to electric, potentially-driven shades usable with insulating glass (IG) units, IG units including such shades, and/or associated methods. In such a unit, a dynamic shade is located between the substrates defining the IG unit, and is movable between retracted and extended positions. The dynamic shade includes on-glass layers including a transparent conductor and an insulator or dielectric film, as well as a shutter. The shutter includes a resilient polymer, a conductor, and optional ink. Holes, invisible to the naked eye, may be formed in the polymer. Those holes may be sized, shaped, and arranged to promote summertime solar energy reflection and wintertime solar energy transmission. The conductor may be transparent or opaque. When the conductor is reflective, overcoat layers may be provided to help reduce internal reflection. The polymer may be capable of surviving high-temperature environments and may be colored in some instances.

Abstract: A luminaire includes a housing assembly, a spacer, and a globe optic. A collar may be included on the spacer such that the luminaire can accommodate different sizes of globe optics without requiring complete replacement of the luminaire. The spacer may include airflow apertures that promote air circulation within the luminaire when the luminaire is assembled. A wireless node may be included with the luminaire. In some examples, the wireless node may be positioned on at least one of the housing assembly, the spacer, or the globe optic.

Abstract: A system that manages an object storage may include frontend micro-services and backend micro-services. The frontend micro-services may obtain a request to store data in an object storage and divide the data into slices. The backend micro-services may generate a sketch of each slice, match each slice to a similarity group of a plurality of similarity groups, obtain meta-data associated with each matched similarity group, and add at least a portion of a slice of the slices to a compression region using the meta-data.

Abstract: A photonic adaptor has a first face side to couple the photonic adaptor to an optical connector and a second face side to couple the photonic adaptor to an optoelectronic substrate. The photonic adaptor comprises a plurality of optical fibers being arranged between the first face side and the second face side of the photonic adaptor. The photonic adaptor comprises at least one alignment pin projecting out of at least the first face side of the photonic adaptor. The at least one alignment pin is configured to be inserted in the optical connector to align optical fibers of an optical cable to the optical fibers of the photonic adaptor.
