  • Patent number: 10792203
Abstract: A manipulator arm for moving a load from a first position at a first elevation, to a second position at a second elevation, provides a base and defines plural spaced apart axle holes. A fulcrum lever link formed of a channel beam defines plural spaced apart axle holes. A first load member, and two support members extend between, and pivotally interconnect, the base plate and the fulcrum lever link and define a quadrilateral lift frame about the pivotal interconnections. An actuator operatively communicates between the first load member and the fulcrum lever link and the fulcrum lever link provides mechanical advantage to the actuator to cause the quadrilateral lift frame to change from a first configuration at the first position to a second configuration at the second position.

  • Patent number: 10795757
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems and methods for improving the performance of a telecommunications network by monitoring the performance of one or more storage drives. Operational data is received from a plurality of storage drives of a storage server of a telecommunications network. A plurality of operational coefficients for each of the plurality of storage drives is derived based on the operational data, and a cluster plot is created from the plurality of operational coefficients for each of the plurality of storage drives. A distance is calculated between a subset of operational coefficients of the plurality of operational coefficients of the cluster plot, and a remedial action is initiated on a storage drive of the plurality of storage drives when a calculated distance of an operational coefficient associated with the storage drive exceeds a distance value from a cluster of the cluster plot.

  • Patent number: 10797390
Abstract: Antennas used aboard aircraft to communicate with satellites or ground stations may have complex antenna patterns, which may vary as the aircraft moves throughout a given coverage area. Techniques are disclosed for dynamically adjusting the instantaneous power fed to an antenna system to ensure that the antenna transmits at the regulatory or coordinated effective isotropic radiated power (EIRP) spectral limit. The antenna may transmit, in accordance with aircraft location and attitude, steerable beam patterns at different scan and skew angle combinations, causing variations in antenna gain and fluctuations in the transmitted EIRP. Using on-board navigational data, an antenna gain and ESD limit may be calculated for a particular scan and skew angle, which may be used to adjust power fed to the antenna such that the antenna transmits substantially at maximum allowable EIRP as the steerable beam pattern is adjusted.

  • Patent number: 10798092
Abstract: Services from domainless machines are made available in a security domain under a virtual name. Each machine is not joined to the domain but can reach a security domain controller. The controller controls at least one security domain using an authentication protocol, such as a modified Kerberos protocol. One obtains a set of security domain credentials, generates a cluster name secret, gives the cluster a virtual name, and authenticates the machines to the domain controller using these items. In some cases, authentication uses a ticket-based protocol which accepts the cluster name secret in place of a proof of valid security domain membership. In some, the domain controller uses a directory service which is compatible with an active directory service; the cluster virtual name is provisioned as an account in the directory service. The cluster virtual name may concurrently serve clients on different security domains of the directory service.

  • Patent number: 10795420
Abstract: Techniques are described for battery management in a computing device. The described techniques may be implemented by a battery offline module that provides functionality to control utilization of a battery such as determining whether the battery is available to receive power from a power source. For instance, the battery offline module may receive an input requesting that a battery be taken offline, determine whether system conditions for taking the battery offline are met, and take the battery offline when the system conditions are met such that the battery is not capable of receiving power from a power source of the computing device. In some instances, the battery offline module may cause different powering and charging arrangements between multiple batteries of the computing device. By implementing the battery offline module in the computing device, battery utilization is controlled to improve battery life.
