Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems and methods computing devices to access a public network posing as a user to the network to detect one or more malware programs available for downloading through the network. More particularly, a malware detection control system utilizes a browser executed on a computing device to access a public network, such as the Internet. Through the browser, sites or nodes of the public network are accessed by the control system with the interactions with the sites of the public network designed to mimic or approximate a human user of the browser. More particularly, the control system may apply the one or more personality profiles to the browser of the computing device to access and interact with the nodes of the public network. Further, the control system may monitor the information retrieved from the network sites to detect the presence of malware within the nodes.

Abstract: A method for manufacturing a rotor assembly for an electrical machine includes printing a first part of a rotor shaft. The method also includes printing a rotor core onto the first part of the rotor shaft. In addition, the method includes printing a second part of the rotor shaft onto the rotor core; printing a first part of the rotor winding. The method also includes coupling the first part of the rotor winding to the rotor core. After coupling the first part of the rotor winding to the rotor core, the method includes printing a second part of the rotor winding onto the first part of the rotor winding to form the rotor assembly.

Abstract: Systems and methods of the disclosed subject matter are directed to receiving, at a server having a mobile application publishing platform, application information. The server determines a plurality of product modules based on the received application information. An affinity score for each of the product modules is dynamically determined from the received application information. The server provides at least one of the plurality of product modules for selection based on the dynamically determined affinity score. The server receives a selection of at least one of the plurality of product modules that is provided for selection based on the dynamically determined affinity score. The server generates an application that integrates the selected at least one of the plurality of product modules with the received application information so that the generated application includes a feature provided by the integrated at least one of the plurality of product modules.

Abstract: Techniques for providing a user interface (UI) are provided. The UI may include UI features that are generated using metadata. The UI features may include fields for receiving text, field labels, layout details for fields in the UI, or placeholder text for the fields. The metadata may be associated with an application service provided by a server device. A computing device may receive the metadata once the application service is invoked. The metadata may be modified at the server device. Therefore, UI features may be modified, added, or removed without requiring code changes at the computing device or server device.

Abstract: A humidifier system for a vehicle passenger cabin includes an onboard humidifier, an onboard reservoir in fluid communication with the humidifier and adapted to collect a fluid from a vehicle heat exchanger, and a controller configured to determine at least a passenger cabin relative humidity value and a dew point value for at least one vehicle window. The controller is configured to actuate the onboard humidifier to provide a humidified airflow into the passenger cabin, and to actuate a window heating system to heat the at least one vehicle window sufficiently to prevent or remove fogging resulting from the humidified airflow. Methods for controlling the humidifier system are described.

Abstract: A tube jacket slitting tool including first and second opposite tool portions, each tool portion including a common hinged portion at a first end for engaging the opposite tool portion. The first and second opposite tool portions are foldable about the hinged portion between an open position and a closed position. The tool includes at least one concave surface extending across the width of forming an opening, when the first and second opposite tool portions are in the closed position, through which a tube may be slid. The tool includes a blade extending inward into the opening for slitting a depth of the tube jacket as it is moved with respect to the tool. The tool includes a hinge pivot axis in the hinged portion extending in a direction substantially in the direction of the width and at an acute angle to either the plane or to the longitudinal axis of the tube or cable in the opening formed by the at least one concave surface.

Abstract: Methods are provided for calibrating a millimeter wave active antenna array using over-the-air measurements and an optimization algorithm. The transmit and receive paths may be optimized separately, and the optimization may be performed on the magnitude and phase separately or together. The parameter optimized may include the received power of the main lobe or the received power at the location of a null in some embodiments.

Abstract: In one embodiment, a method includes receiving a user input from a client system associated with a first user, wherein the user input comprises an incomplete gesture performed by the first user, calculating one or more confidence scores by an intent-understanding module for one or more intents corresponding to the incomplete gesture, determining the calculated confidence scores associated with each of the intents are below a threshold score, selecting candidate gestures from a plurality of pre-defined gestures based on a personalized gesture-recognition model responsive to determining that the calculated confidence scores for each of the intents are below the threshold score, wherein each of the candidate gestures is associated with a confidence score representing a likelihood the first user intended to input the respective candidate gesture, and sending instructions for presenting one or more suggested inputs corresponding to one or more of the candidate gestures to the client system.

Abstract: The disclosure relate to testing software for operating an autonomous vehicle. For instance, a first simulation may be run. The simulation may be run using the software to control a simulated vehicle and at least one agent. During the running of the first simulation, whether a particular type of interaction between the simulated vehicle and the at least one agent has occurred may be determined. In response to this determination, a second simulation may be run using the log data by replacing the at least one agent with a model agent that simulates a road user capable of responding to actions performed by the simulated vehicle. The second simulation may be used to determine in order to determine whether the software is able to complete the second simulation without the particular type of interaction between a second simulated vehicle and the model agent occurring.

Abstract: A device for enhanced generation of microbubbles in a more efficient manner is provided. The device is smaller, quieter, and more energy-efficient than prior microbubble-generating devices, and is suitable for use with liquid dispensing devices such as hydrotherapy jets, shower heads, liquid nozzles, and bathtub faucets. Methods of use of the enhanced microbubble system are also disclosed.

The non-breathable section is configured to accommodate any of a liquid, a solid, a gas or combination thereof. The breathable section is configured to accommodate only a gas.

Abstract: Multi-purpose protectant compositions and methods of manufacture and application thereof. The multipurpose protectant compositions comprise a mixture of an aqueous solution of an organosilane. The solution may also contain surfactants and fragrance from natural and artificial sources. The multi-purpose protectant scompositiona are sprayed on any surface, allowed to cure, and result in long-lasting surface protection. The protectant compositions have a long shelf life and resistance to thermal degradation.

Abstract: A video game has at least one player client with control over an aspect of a shared virtual environment. The video game also has at least one spectator client with limited to no control over the shared virtual environment. For example, the spectator client's control may be limited to the game server generating audience cheers or boos in response to spectator input during gameplay. In response to detection of a trigger event by a game server, the player and spectator may switch roles. The client switching from spectator to player experiences an increase in network transfer quality from the game server to help provide smooth gameplay. The client switching from player to spectator faces a decrease in network transfer properties to compensate.

Abstract: A remote operator interface and control unit configured to monitor status of, and control over, fluid connections at wellheads. Independent and concurrent status monitoring and control communication with fluid connections is provided at each of a plurality of wells. The operator interface and control unit allows a remote operator to lock and unlock fluid connection assemblies on wellheads, while at the same time viewing wellhead conditions accompanying such actions.

Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure provide a storage management method and device. The method comprises: obtaining an attribute and access information of a file stored in storage at a first level in a hierarchical storage system, the attribute of the file indicating a size of the file, and the access information indicating an access frequency of the file; determining necessity of migrating the file based on the attribute of the file and the access information; and in response to the necessity exceeding a predetermined threshold, migrating the file to storage at a second level in the hierarchical storage system, the second level being different from the first level. Embodiments of the present disclosure further disclose a corresponding device.

The device includes a housing, at least one antenna configured to generate a signal in response to exposure to electromagnetic radiation, signal processing circuitry configured to process the signal generated by the at least one antenna, a microprocessor configured to determine, from the processed signal, whether the alert device is proximate to the active AC voltage source, a communication device configured to generate a signal in response to a determination that the alert device is proximate the active AC voltage source, and an interference reduction device configured to discharge an accumulated charge on the alert device to reduce electromagnetic interference from sources other than the active AC voltage source.

Abstract: Three-dimensional memory devices include structures that induce a vertical tensile stress in vertical semiconductor channels to enhance charge carrier mobility. Vertical tensile stress may be induced by a laterally compressive stress applied by stressor pillar structure. The stressor pillar structures can include a stressor material such as a dielectric metal oxide material, silicon nitride, thermal silicon oxide or a semiconductor material having a greater lattice constant than that of the channel. Vertical tensile stress may be induced by a compressive stress applied by electrically conductive layers that laterally surround the vertical semiconductor channel, or by a stress memorization technique that captures a compressive stress from sacrificial material layers. Vertical tensile stress can be generated by a source-level pinning layer that prevents vertical expansion of the vertical semiconductor channel.
