  • Patent number: 10797206
Abstract: Systems for apparatuses formed of light emitting devices. Solutions for controlling the off-state appearance of lighting system designs is disclosed. Thermochromic materials are selected in accordance with a desired off-state of an LED device. The thermochromic materials are applied to a structure that is in a light path of light emitted by the LED device. In the off-state the LED device produces a desired off-state colored appearance. When the LED device is in the on-state, the thermochromic materials heat up and become more and more transparent. The light emitted from the device in its on-state does not suffer from color shifting due to the presence of the thermochromic materials. Furthermore, light emitted from the LED device in its on-state does not suffer from attenuation due to the presence of the thermochromic materials. Techniques to select and position thermochromic materials in or around LED apparatuses are presented.

  • Patent number: 10793051
Abstract: The vehicle for use with the present system is a pickup truck or other work truck with an open cargo space. The cargo space is typically defined by a rectangular bed surrounded by fixed walls on three sides and a tailgate in the rear of the vehicle. The bottom of the cargo space is referred to as the floor or cargo bed floor. Cargo pillars are positioned at the two back corners of the cargo bed. They are also the structural support for a tailgate. The bottom of the tailgate is rotatably connected to the base of the pillars next to the cargo bed floor. When the tailgate is open or down, it is typically about parallel to the cargo bed floor. When the tailgate is up or closed, it is latched or locked to the upper end of the pillars. A fixed or retractable cable strap, chain, rope, or similar line is adapted to be locked together with the locking of a truck tailgate.

  • Patent number: 10791857
Abstract: The utilitarian function of the engagement features on a lidded vessel is at least partially camouflaged so that the engagement features' utilitarian function is less apparent to the consumer after the lid is removed. The lidded vessel may be, for example, a lidded drinking glass—such as a lidded wine glass, beer glass, whiskey tumbler or soda glass—that is sold pre-filled and sealed with the wine, beer, whiskey or soda already inside. The camouflaging may be accomplished using one or more camouflaging techniques, some or all of them involving the presence of non-engagement elements.

  • Patent number: 10798397
Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure provide methods and apparatuses for video coding. In the method, a bit stream including syntax elements is received. The syntax elements correspond to residues of a transform block in a coded picture. A first maximum number of context-coded bins of the syntax elements of a first coefficient sub-block in the transform block is determined based on a frequency position of the first coefficient sub-block. Each of a number of bins of the syntax elements of the first coefficient sub-block is coded according to a context model and the determined first maximum number. Coded bits of the number of the bins of the syntax elements of the first coefficient sub-block are decoded based on the context models. Further, the first maximum number is different from a second maximum number of context-coded bins of the syntax elements of a second coefficient sub-block in the transform block.
