Abstract: Use of a NAND array architecture to realize a binary neural network (BNN) allows for matrix multiplication and accumulation to be performed within the memory array. A unit synapse for storing a weight of a BNN is stored in a pair of series connected memory cells. A binary input is applied as a pattern of voltage values on a pair of word lines connected to the unit synapse to perform the multiplication of the input with the weight by determining whether or not the unit synapse conducts. The results of such multiplications are determined by a sense amplifier, with the results accumulated by a counter.

Abstract: A real-time control system for a vehicle, and a method of executing control of the vehicle via the real-time control system includes at least one primary controller that is configured to control slave controllers. The primary controller is configured to queue a task requested by respective vehicle systems, and determine which of the slave controllers is available to execute the task. The primary controller is configured to assign the task to a selected one of the slave controllers to execute the task. The primary controller is configured to re-queue the assigned task if the selected one of the slave controllers does not completely execute the assigned task. The primary controller is configured to assign that re-queued task to another one of the slave controllers to execute the re-queued task. The respective vehicle systems perform the requested task when the selected one of the slave controllers completely executes the assigned task.

Abstract: A server computing device, including memory storing a knowledge graph. The server computing device may further include a processor configured to receive a natural language input and generate a tokenized utterance based on the natural language input. Based on the tokenized utterance, the processor may select a predefined intention indicating a target ontology entity type of the natural language input. The processor may identify at least one input ontology entity token included in the tokenized utterance and may identify at least one relation between the predefined intention and the input ontology entity token. Based on the predefined intention, the at least one input ontology entity token, and the relation, the processor may generate a structured query. Based on the structured query and the knowledge graph, the processor may output an output ontology entity token having the target ontology entity type.

Abstract: A tree stand platform assembly includes a platform for supporting a hunter and which has a perimeter edge. The perimeter edge includes a front edge, a rear edge, a first lateral edge and a second lateral edge. The platform has a top surface, a bottom surface and an outer surface positioned between the top and bottom surfaces. The first and second lateral edges each include a front section abutting the front edge and a rear section abutting the rear edge. The rear section includes toe receiver. The toe receiver is formed by an obtuse angle formed in the outer surface of the rear section, wherein the obtuse angle is less than 160°. The toe receiver provides an engagement point for a hunter's foot as the hunter rotates laterally away from the platform.

Abstract: A substantially anhydrous thickener system in the form of a gel for use in oral care compositions comprising: carboxymethyl cellulose or its salts thereof, a chelating agent, and hydroxyethyl cellulose, in a solvent system, wherein the thickener system is heated to a temperature ranging from about 70° C. to about 120° C. to form the gel. A method of preparing the thickener system for use in oral care compositions comprises the steps of: a) charging a mixture of hydroxyethyl cellulose and carboxymethyl cellulose into a reaction container, b) dissolving the mixture of a) in a solvent system, c) charging a chelating agent into b), and d) heating the resultant of c) to a temperature of 70°-120° C. for at least about 10 minutes.

Abstract: The present disclosure describes systems and methods that include calculating, via a reinforcement learning agent (RLA) controller, a plurality of state-action values based on sensor data representing an observed state, wherein the RLA controller utilizes a deep neural network (DNN) and generating, via a fuzzy controller, a plurality of linear models mapping the plurality of state-action values to the sensor data.

Abstract: A semi-transparent sign includes a reflective display, multiple layers and a control circuit. The reflective display may be semi-transparent, have a first side subject to a thermal load, have a second side opposite the first side, and configured to generate a plurality of visible images. A heat sink layer may be attached to the first side, be transparent, and configured to carry heat energy away from the reflective display. The thermal layer may be attached to the heat sink layer, be semi-transparent, and configured to reduce an intensity of the thermal load reaching the reflective display. The warming layer may be attached to the second side, be transparent, and configured to heat the reflective display in response to an electric current. The control circuit may be configured to control the electric current to the warming layer based on a temperature signal indicating a temperature of the semi-transparent sign.

Abstract: An electronic lockbox uses a rotary actuator with multiple positions to achieve multiple locking states. Multiple positions of the actuator are detected, using optical sensors. The locking mechanism includes an outer sleeve and an inner cylindrical barrel that are coupled with torsion springs. The lockbox has a shackle and a key bin that are retained by the inner barrel when in the locked state, and the barrel can be rotated to either release the shackle or to release the key bin that typically holds a building's key.

Abstract: A system for coupling a first pipe segment to a second pipe segment includes a pin end including a flange. The system includes a box end having a recess configured to receive the pin end, a face of the box end abutting the flange. Abstract: An improved retention system for retaining fuel rods in a fuel assembly is disclosed. The retention system includes a plurality of first engagement surfaces on the bottom nozzle of a fuel assembly. There is at least one engagement surface for each fuel rod. A second engagement surface is formed on the bottom end plug of each fuel rod. The first and second engagement surfaces are configured for engagement with each other for axially and laterally retaining each fuel rod within the fuel assembly. Debris deflectors may also be provided to deflect debris from coolant channels surrounding the fuel rods.

Abstract: The present invention relates to sulfonamide compounds of formula (I) and formula (II), or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof. The present sulfonamide compounds are useful non-systemic TGR5 agonists that can be used to treat diabetic diseases in human. The present invention provides a pharmaceutical composition containing sulfonamide compounds of formula (I) and formula (II) and a method of making as well as a method of using same in treating patients inflicted with metabolic disorders by administering same. The compounds of the present invention may be used in combination with additional anti-diabetic drugs.

Abstract: A method of producing a functionalized material that extracts metal ions from solution, the method comprising: (i) providing a precursor material having nitrile groups appended to its surface; and (ii) reacting said nitrile groups with hydroxylamine or a derivative thereof in the presence of a polar aprotic solvent at a temperature of 60-80° C. for at least 1 hour, to convert at least a portion of said nitrile groups to amidoxime and imide dioxime groups, followed by reaction with a base capable of hydrolyzing any remaining nitrile groups to carboxylic acid groups; wherein said functionalized material has a higher uranium absorption capacity than a functionalized material produced under same conditions except that the nitrile groups are reacted with hydroxylamine in only a protic solvent. The invention is also directed to functionalized materials produced by the above-described method, and methods for using the functionalized material for extracting metal ions from metal-containing solutions.

During operation, the system identifies candidates for opportunities in a domain based on communication between the candidates and moderators of the opportunities. Next, the system determines a set of skills as representative of talent in the domain based on occurrences of the set of skills in attributes of the candidates. The system then identifies additional candidates with experience in the domain based on overlap between additional attributes of the additional candidates and the set of skills. Finally, the system outputs the additional candidates as recommendations to additional moderators of additional opportunities in the domain.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides computing systems and techniques for evaluating effectiveness of models used to generate product offers. A server can generate a product offer from one of a number of customer engagement models. The server can determine an effectiveness of each of the models based on user interactions with the precut offers. The determined effectiveness can be used to specify a dominant or baseline model to be used in a majority of instances.
