The composition includes several components including a major amount of a base oil, a mixture of alkylated diphenylamines having a weight ratio of mono-alkylated diphenylamine to di-alkylated diphenylamine ranging from 0.6 to 4.0, and a molybdenum or sulfur additive that provides synergistic enhancement of oxidation stability in combination with the mixture of alkylated diphenylamines.

Abstract: A method for improved security at automated teller machines (ATMs) comprising: capturing, by a first camera at an ATM, one or more images of a bank card; reading card information from the bank card by processing the one or more images of the bank card, wherein the card information comprises an account number and an expiration date; receiving, from an input device at the ATM, a personal identification number (PIN) entered by a user; sending a request to a server device to verify the card information and the PIN; and in response receiving a response from the server device, allowing the user to transact with the ATM.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to systems and methods for using haptic vibration for inter-device communication. In one implementation, a system for inter-device communication using haptic vibration may include at least one force gauge configured to measure displacements caused by an external device in contact with the at least one force gauge; at least one memory storing instructions; and at least one processor configured to execute the instructions to: receive an identifier associated with a user; retrieve a pattern associated with the received identifier; receive, from the at least one force gauge, one or more measurements over a period of time; assess a degree of difference between the received one or more measurements and the retrieved pattern; and, when the degree of difference is below a threshold, authenticate the user.

Abstract: To generate a melody, one or more machine-readable constraints are accepted from a user through a user interface. The constraints include rhythm constraints and pitch constraints. A sequence of musical elements is generated based on the constraints, each of the musical elements specifying, in machine-readable data, a musical pitch or silence and a duration of the musical pitch or silence. The pitch constraints prescribe pitches in the sequence of musical elements and the rhythm constraints prescribe rhythm of the sequence of musical elements. The sequence of musical elements is rendered in human-perceivable form as a melody.

Abstract: Various embodiments of the present technology may provide methods and apparatus for a capacitive sensor. The capacitive sensor may include two sensor pads that have overlapping electric fields and operate independent from each other. The capacitive sensor may also include a ground electrode positioned adjacent to the sensor pads.

Abstract: A media content item is evaluated for its “sentiment states.” That is, segments of the content item are determined to be, for example, “happy,” “exciting,” “sad,” “funny,” and the like. A “sentiment map” is created that delimits segments of the content item and contains the sentiment-state keywords associated with the segments. Some maps include an amplitude for each assigned sentiment keyword and a confidence value for the segment delimitation and for each keyword. As an exemplary use of the sentiment map, an advertisement broker matches the sentiments of his advertisement offerings with segments of a content item in order to place appropriate advertisements at times when they would be most favorably received. In another example, a recommender system recommends to a user a content item whose sentiment map compares favorably to that of a content item already enjoyed by the user.

Abstract: Compositions for improving plant health, the compositions comprising at least one water-soluble pesticide and at least one non-herbicidal water-insoluble agrochemical, are described. Also described are processes for preparing the compositions and methods of improving agronomic crop plant health using the compositions.

A likely context associated with a user is determined based on at least a portion of the context data. One or more language model teasing parameters based at least on the context confidence score is adjusted. A baseline language model based at least on the one or more of the adjusted language model biasing parameters is biased. Abstract: A media processing tool adds custom data to an elementary media bitstream or media container. The custom data indicates nominal range of samples of media content, but the meaning of the custom data is not defined in the codec format or media container format. For example, the custom data indicates the nominal range is full range or limited range. For playback, a media processing tool parses the custom data and determines an indication of media content type. A rendering engine performs color conversion operations whose logic changes based at least in part on the media content type. In this way, a codec format or media container format can in effect be extended to support full nominal range media content as well as limited nominal range media content, and hence preserve full or correct color fidelity, while maintaining backward compatibility and conformance with the codec format or media container format.

The lid portion also has helical threads that are arranged to engage the helical threads of the container portion. At least one of the set of helical threads of the container portion or the set of helical threads of the lid portion are able to flex when the lid portion is pressed down upon the container portion. A closed container may be adapted for repeated use by removing the tabs and using the threaded lid portion to open and close the container.

The ability to provide a passive safety unit allows for facilitated utilization in, for instance, emergency situations with the entire device provided for utilization thereof. The device includes a drilling component with a permanently attached stylet and a removable cannula, a power supply for a single drilling operation, a mechanism to draw the stylet back into the drill component after use and disengagement from the cannula, and an automatic closure that activates with the separation of the cannula.

Abstract: A machine for removing debris from pine straw is described. The machine comprises a conveyor system, a doffer, a debris-pine straw separation zone, and a clean pine straw zone. The conveyor system and doffer thin, spread and fluff the pine straw, as well as control the flow of pine straw to the separation zone. A system of air is directed through the separation zone and engages pine straw and debris discharged into the separation zone and effectively separates the debris from the pine straw, after which the pine straw is directed from the separation zone to the clean pine straw zone.

Abstract: A display control unit includes a data drive unit, a gate drive unit, a drive settle detection circuit, and a row enable module. The data drive unit generates data drive signals for driving data lines of a display. The gate drive unit drives gate lines of the display in an order based on a row enable signal. The drive settle detection circuit monitors a set of data drive signals for an activated gate line. The drive settle detection circuit also sets a settled signal for the activated gate line when each drive signal of the set of drive signals has reached a corresponding settling threshold. The row enable module ends, as part of the row enable signal, activation of the activated gate line based on the settled signal and activates, as part of the row enable signal, another gate line based on the settled signal.

The system includes a shaft that supports a plurality of cutting assemblies and screens in alternating order, wherein the cutting assembly rotates with respect to an in close proximity to the screen. The cutting assemblies include a plurality of cutting elements that extend radially outward from a hub and are positioned at consistent radial spacing along the perimeter of the hub. Each cutting element includes front and back edges that cut food particles in conjunction with holes within the screen, wherein the front and back edges are substantially perpendicular.
