  • Patent number: 12136178
Abstract: Systems and methods for validation of modeling and simulation systems that provide for the virtual try-on of wearable devices, such as glasses, by a user, and for the virtual fitting of selected wearable devices for the user. Wearable fit measurements, display fit measurements, ophthalmic fit measurements and other such measurements associated with the fit and function of the wearable device may be detected from image data capturing the wearable device worn by the user. The detected measurements may be compared to corresponding measurements detected in a virtual simulation of the wearable device worn by the user. The comparison may provide for validation and increased accuracy/realism of the modeling and simulation systems.

  • Patent number: 12136303
Abstract: A light inspection system positions an autonomous vehicle (AV) in a field of view of a camera such that the camera captures an image of a light of the AV. The light inspection system instructs a camera to capture an image of the light while the light is switched on. The light inspection system receives the captured image, determines a luminance of the light based on the image, and determines to service the light in response to the luminance of the light being below a threshold luminance.

  • Patent number: 12137054
Abstract: The rate of incoming data records in a data stream is dynamically limited based on stream delay. A current delay representing a latency between a beginning of the data stream and a currently processed data record is obtained. A maximum delay representing a maximum tolerated delay is determined. A threshold delay representing a delay value that triggers calculation of a new drop rate is determined. A drop rate is calculated based on the current delay, the maximum delay, and the threshold delay. The drop rate represents a percentage of the incoming data records. A drop strategy is selected. One or more data records are discarded from the incoming data stream based on the drop rate, according to the drop strategy.

  • Patent number: 12133810
Abstract: An implant delivery system comprises an elongate tubular member having a lumen, a tubular implant coaxially disposed within the lumen of the elongate tubular member, and a delivery assembly having a distal portion coaxially disposed within tubular implant. The delivery assembly comprises a delivery wire, an engaging bumper fixedly coupled to the delivery wire, a stopper bumper fixedly coupled to the delivery wire, and a floating element slidably coupled around the delivery wire and disposed between the bumpers, thereby limiting linear translation of the floating element therebetween. The floating element has an engaging portion configured to engage the engaging bumper when the delivery wire is axially translated relative to the elongate member in a first direction. The floating element is configured to radially expand outward to frictionally engage the implant when the engaging portion of the floating element engages the engaging bumper.

  • Patent number: 12137138
Abstract: Methods, systems, and computer program products are provided that automatically scale an application between private and public cloud computing platforms, while simultaneous enforcing policies ensuring private data is persistently stored on the private cloud computing platform, but not the public cloud computing platform. A traffic manager on the public platform routes traffic to instances of a web app executing on a private platform. A traffic monitor on the private platform monitors performance criteria of the private platform, and reports traffic telemetry to the traffic manager. Based on the traffic telemetry, the traffic manager may instantiate one or more instances of the web app on the public platform to handle traffic. Private data gathered by such instantiated instance(s) is persisted to storage in the private platform, but not in the public platform.

  • Patent number: 12134384
Abstract: Methods and devices for detecting traffic signals and their associated states are disclosed. In one embodiment, an example method includes a scanning a target area using one or more sensors of a vehicle to obtain target area information. The vehicle may be configured to operate in an autonomous mode, and the target area may be a type of area where traffic signals are typically located. The method may also include detecting a traffic signal in the target area information, determining a location of the traffic signal, and determining a state of the traffic signal. Also, a confidence in the traffic signal may be determined. For example, the location of the traffic signal may be compared to known locations of traffic signals. Based on the state of the traffic signal and the confidence in the traffic signal, the vehicle may be controlled in the autonomous mode.

  • Patent number: 12135459
Abstract: An example system for housing disassembly is provided. The system includes a first component including a platform defining an interior space configured and dimensioned to at least partially receive a first side of a housing including a first set of latching points. The system includes blades extending from the platform of the first component. The blades are disposed in a pattern to align with the first set of latching points of the housing when the housing is at least partially received in the interior space of the platform. Compressing the platform towards the housing or compressing the housing towards the platform disengages the first set of latching points of the housing with the blades to disassemble the housing.

  • Patent number: 12134495
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a random case sealer. The case sealer includes a top-head-actuating assembly configured to vary the speed of the top-head assembly when ascending (to make room for the case beneath the top-head assembly) and when descending onto the case (to engage the top surface of the case during sealing). This maximizes the speed of the top-head assembly while limiting overshoot (when ascending) and preventing damage to the case (when descending). In certain embodiments the case sealer includes a tape cartridge configured to limit the forces imparted onto the leading and top surfaces of the case during sealing. These features result in increased throughput as compared to prior art random case sealers without requiring stronger cases or more protective dunnage.
