Abstract: The present disclosure provides novel gene therapy constructs comprising a PARK2 gene or activating variant and methods of administering to treat Parkinson's Disease or symptoms thereof.
Abstract: Methods and devices for detecting traffic signals and their associated states are disclosed. In one embodiment, an example method includes a scanning a target area using one or more sensors of a vehicle to obtain target area information. The vehicle may be configured to operate in an autonomous mode, and the target area may be a type of area where traffic signals are typically located. The method may also include detecting a traffic signal in the target area information, determining a location of the traffic signal, and determining a state of the traffic signal. Also, a confidence in the traffic signal may be determined. For example, the location of the traffic signal may be compared to known locations of traffic signals. Based on the state of the traffic signal and the confidence in the traffic signal, the vehicle may be controlled in the autonomous mode.

Abstract: A marine vessel includes a hull assembly, and the hull assembly includes a deck assembly, a first battery assembly, a second battery assembly and an electric motor assembly. The deck assembly is contained within the hull assembly. The first battery assembly is located completely under the deck assembly. The second battery assembly is located completely under the deck assembly and is physically separate from the first battery assembly. The electric motor assembly receives electric power from the first battery assembly and the second battery assembly to propel the hull assembly through water during operation.

Abstract: An order management system in electronic communication with a database may be configured to manage concurrent update requests for the order data stored in the database. In particular, the order management system may be configured to receive two or more order modification requests, determine that the second order modification request includes one or more aspects that conflict with the modified order and includes one or more aspects that do not conflict with the modified order, send a notification to the second user, wherein the notification includes the one or more aspects that conflict with the modified order, and modify the modified order according to the one or more aspects of the second order modification request that do not conflict with the modified order to create a second modified order.

Abstract: A coaching tool for footwork development including a plurality of shims arranged parallel to one another. The coaching tool includes a housing surrounding the shims. The housing has a top surface, a bottom surface opposite the top surface, a front surface, and a back surface opposite the front surface. The coaching tool includes a handle extending from a first end to a second end. The first end is attached to the housing on the back surface, and the second end is spaced from the first end. A portion of the handle between the first end and the second end is disposed on a common plane with the bottom surface of the housing.
Abstract: An example system for housing disassembly is provided. The system includes a first component including a platform defining an interior space configured and dimensioned to at least partially receive a first side of a housing including a first set of latching points. The system includes blades extending from the platform of the first component. The blades are disposed in a pattern to align with the first set of latching points of the housing when the housing is at least partially received in the interior space of the platform. Compressing the platform towards the housing or compressing the housing towards the platform disengages the first set of latching points of the housing with the blades to disassemble the housing.
Abstract: Authentication translation is disclosed. A request to access a resource is received at an authentication translator, as is an authentication input. The authentication input corresponds to at least one stored record. The stored record is associated at least with the resource. In response to the receiving, a previously stored credential associated with the resource is accessed. The credential is provided to the resource.
Abstract: Various embodiments of the present disclosure provide a random case sealer. The case sealer includes a top-head-actuating assembly configured to vary the speed of the top-head assembly when ascending (to make room for the case beneath the top-head assembly) and when descending onto the case (to engage the top surface of the case during sealing). This maximizes the speed of the top-head assembly while limiting overshoot (when ascending) and preventing damage to the case (when descending). In certain embodiments the case sealer includes a tape cartridge configured to limit the forces imparted onto the leading and top surfaces of the case during sealing. These features result in increased throughput as compared to prior art random case sealers without requiring stronger cases or more protective dunnage.
Abstract: This disclosure relates to improved video coding scheme for zero residual or zero coefficient flags. For example, a method for decoding a current block in a video stream is disclosed. The method may include determining a zero-skip flag of at least one neighboring block of the current block as a reference zero-skip flag; determining a prediction mode for the current block as being either an intra prediction mode or inter prediction mode; deriving at least one context for decoding the zero-skip flag of the current block based on the reference zero-skip flag and the current prediction mode; and decoding the zero-skip flag of the current block according to the at least one context.
Abstract: Various embodiments disclosed herein provide for an improved accumulation conveyor and systems and methods for controlling a high rate, high density tunable accumulation conveyor. In one embodiment, an accumulation conveyor system determines whether an item detection variable associated with a second zone of a plurality of zones is satisfied, wherein the second zone is downstream of a first zone. The accumulation conveyor system determines whether at least one of two operational characteristic variables is satisfied. In an instance where both the item detection variable and at least one operational characteristic variable are satisfied, the accumulation conveyor system is configured to set a zone operating state associated with the first zone to inactive and send a command signal comprising the zone operating state associated with the first zone to a control module associated with the first zone. In another embodiment, an improved method for adjusting aggressiveness is disclosed.

Abstract: A brightness management system for a vehicle includes a network providing wireless communication for a vehicle environment, a mobile device in the vehicle environment and including a first light detector for detecting a first light level at a first location of the mobile device, at least one vehicle display coupled with the vehicle and having at least one brightness level, and control circuitry communicatively coupled with the mobile device and the at least one vehicle display via the network. The control circuitry is configured to detect the first location of the mobile device in the vehicle, receive an indication of the first light level from the mobile device, and communicate a signal to adjust the at least one brightness level of the at least one vehicle display based on the first location and the first light level.

Abstract: Various examples are described for operating system update management. In some examples, an OS update schedule is generated. The OS update schedule specifies an OS update for a plurality of client devices. A command to deploy the OS update is transmitted to a subset of the client devices. Behavior data is received from the client devices that have applied the OS update. An update incompatibility identified using the behavior data. Instructions to fix the update incompatibility are transmitted to certain client devices.

Abstract: A method of video decoding performed in a video decoder is disclosed. A first syntax element indicating whether a video is monochrome or includes color components that are encoded separately is generated. A second syntax element that indicates whether joint coding of chroma residuals is enabled based on whether the video is monochrome or includes color components that are encoded separately is generated. Further, a coded video bitstream that includes the first syntax element is generated. The coded video bitstream includes the second syntax element based on whether the video is monochrome or includes color components that are encoded separately. The first syntax element and the second syntax element are different syntax elements.
