  • Patent number: 12131206
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for a bidirectional application programming interface (API) that enables operational action functionality in a one-way transfer (OWT) system. In examples, a data request is received at a first computing environment of an OWT system, where the data request is associated with a first unidirectional dataflow having a transaction identifier. A first set of policies associated with the first computing environment is applied to the data request and the data request is transferred to a second computing environment of the OWT system. The second computing environment retrieves response data for the data request, where the response data is associated with a second unidirectional dataflow having the transaction identifier. A second set of policies associated with the second computing environment is applied to the response data and the response data is transferred to the first computing environment to fulfill the data request.

  • Patent number: 12131255
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for using dynamic minibatch sizes during neural network training. One of the methods includes receiving, by each of a plurality of host computer, a respective batch of training examples, each training example having zero or more features, computing, by each host computer, a minimum number of minibatches into which the host computer can divide the respective batch of training examples so that the host computer can process each minibatch using an embedding layer of the neural network without exceeding available computing resources, determining a largest minimum number of minibatches (N) into which any host computer can divide its respective batch of training examples, generating, by each host computer, N minibatches from the respective batch of training examples received by the host computer, and processing, by each host computer, the N minibatches using the embedding layer.

  • Patent number: 12132692
Abstract: The present disclosure is directed to a technique for reduction of latency in network traffic data transmissions. The system parses an online document to determine a messaging identifier used to communicate over an asynchronous network-based communication channel with a content provider device. The system assembles a first instance of the online content item with the messaging identifier. An intermediary appliance located on the asynchronous network-based communication channel in between the first computing device and the content provider device intercepts data packets including the electronic message The system determines a quality of the asynchronous network-based communication channel. The system blocks insertion of the messaging identifier in a second instance of the online content item prior to transmission of the second instance of the online content item to a second computing device to reduce latency by preventing additional messages from being sent to the messaging identifier.

  • Patent number: 12129414
Abstract: Scintillating plastics resistant to crazing and fogging, methods of making and using the same are disclosed. The scintillating plastics include: one or more primary polymers present in an amount ranging from about 40 wt % to about 95 wt %; one or more secondary polymers present in an amount ranging from about 1 wt % to about 60 wt %; and one or more fluors present in an amount ranging from about 0.1 wt % to about 50 wt %. Methods of making such plastics include: creating a homogenous mixture of precursor materials including primary polymer, secondary polymer, and fluor in the amounts set forth above; and polymerizing the homogenous mixture. Methods of using such plastics include: exposing the scintillating plastic to one or more extreme environmental conditions for a predetermined amount of time without generating crazing or fogging within the scintillating plastic. Various additional features and specific embodiments of these inventive concepts are also disclosed.

  • Patent number: 12130827
Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on a computer storage medium, for providing knowledge panels with search results. In one aspect, a method includes receiving a query. Search results that are responsive to the query are obtained. A first set of factual entities referenced by the query are identified. A particular factual entity is selected from the first set. It is determined that a knowledge panel for the particular factual entity is to be provided with the search results based, at least in part, on content of the knowledge panel and characteristics of the search results. The knowledge panel can include at least one content item, for the selected factual entity, received from a first resource and at least one content item, for the selected factual entity, received from a second resource different than the first resource. The knowledge panel is provided.

  • Patent number: 12132010
Abstract: Presented are metal-coated, polymer-encapsulated power semiconductor modules, methods for making/using such power modules, and vehicles with traction power inverters containing such power modules. A power electronics assembly includes one or more power semiconductor modules packaged inside an assembly housing. Each power module includes a substrate, a semiconductor device mounted on the substrate, a polymeric encapsulant encasing therein the substrate and semiconductor device, and an electrical lead connected to the semiconductor device and projecting from the polymeric encapsulant. A metallic or ceramic coating is applied to select sections of the polymeric encapsulant's exposed exterior surface. The metallic/ceramic coating may be a single metallic layer that covers substantially all of the exposed surface area of the polymeric encapsulant's exterior surface. An optional hydrophobic polymer layer, passivated layer, and/or oxidized layer may cover the exterior surface of this metallic layer.
