Abstract: A watercraft lift system including one or more laterally-adjustable or rotating components and related methods are disclosed. The watercraft lift system can include a cradle assembly and optionally at least one side guide, which can (but need not) be connected to the cradle assembly. The cradle assembly can include first and second cradle rails. One or both of the first cradle rail and the at least one side guide can be movable between a wider watercraft-receiving position and a narrower watercraft-received position. In an example, movement of the first cradle rail and/or the at least one side guide from the watercraft-receiving position to the watercraft-received position occurs automatically upon entry of a watercraft into the confines of the watercraft lift system. The watercraft lift system can further comprise an actuator to cause lateral or rotational movement, for example, of the first cradle rail and/or the at least one side guide.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing emergency call record and address validation. In various embodiments, a computing system may simultaneously initiate two or more test calls among a plurality of test calls to an emergency service provider system. Each test call may simulate an emergency services validation call initiated from a telephone number among a plurality of telephone numbers associated with a corresponding plurality of users to request a determination as to whether a 911 or enhanced 911 (“E911”) address associated with the telephone number is an accurate 911 or E911 address. In response to receiving a corresponding plurality of call responses from the emergency service provider system, the computing system may analyze each call response to determine a result of each corresponding simulated emergency services validation call; and may send each determined result to a corresponding requesting party.

Abstract: Laser and synthetic profilometry of positive displacement motors (PDM) and ML methods, systems, and computer medium storing instructions for predicting PDM attribute(s). Laser profilometric scans (LPS) and mechanical stator minor ID (SMID) measurements from a plurality of locations in the stator are used for training a stator profilometric ML (SPML) model to learn stator profiles. The SPML model is deployed on input SMID measurements to generate synthetic stator dimension data (SSDD). LPS are preprocessed for feature alignment and statistical profilometric data are extracted for use in training the SPML model, and/or for training a PDM motor performance ML (MPML) model to learn PDM performance. The MPML training dataset may also include the learned stator profiles from the SPML model. The MPML model is deployed, on either input LPS or SSDD generated by the SPML model from input SMID measurements, to generate PDM performance data.

Abstract: The current document is directed to distributed-computer-systems and, in particular, to management of distributed applications and cloud infrastructure using artificial-life agents. The artificial-life agents are organized into a population, the size of which is stabilized as individual artificial-life agents predict system-control parameters, receive rewards based on the predictions, thrive and propagate as they learn to provide better predictions while adapting to a constantly changing environment, and expire when they fail to provide useful predictions over periods of time. The predictions output by individual artificial-life agents are used to provide consensus predictions by the artificial-life-agent population to a cloud-infrastructure-management or distributed-application-management controller.
