Abstract: A communication system transmits a data signal between a transmitter and a receiver. A service provider operates the communication system for a client. When the data signal is received at the receiver, the data signal is decoded and the service provider decides whether the decoded data signal is accurate or whether the decoded data signal should be rejected. The service provider transmits the decoded data signal and its determination as to its accuracy to the client. Metadata including information about the transmission of the data signal is also provided to the client so that the client can make its own determination regarding whether to accept or reject the decoded data signal.

Abstract: A vehicle mode triggered control system for a vehicle includes a hybrid control processor (HCP) configured to detect a current operating mode of the vehicle, determine a set of inactive sub-systems of a set of sub-systems of the vehicle that are not configured to operate during the current operating mode of the vehicle, wherein each of the set of sub-systems is configured to for limited mode-based operation and not during a full operating period of the vehicle, and execute application software including a plurality of application functions by executing a first set of application functions of the plurality of application functions at a first rate and executing a second set of application functions of the plurality of application functions at a slower second rate, wherein the second set of application functions are limited to one or more of the set of inactive sub-systems.

Abstract: A laryngoscope enhancement system (LES) and an intubation system including an LES are provided. The LES includes a holder and a video stylet. The holder includes an adjustable mount to releasably secure an electronic device with a display, and an end cap configured to removably attach the holder to an upper end of a laryngoscope handle. The video stylet includes a connector removably attachable to the electronic device, a flexible segment, a malleable segment and a video camera. The LES may include wireless communication capabilities.

Abstract: Disclosed are methods, systems, and devices for determining that medical devices, the networks to which they are connected, and other connected electrical devices are correctly powered, using normal power levels, able to communicate their results over various communications networks, and can notify people and/or systems of a failure of any of these conditions either in real time or on a deferred time basis. Communications to users regarding such failures are controlled using authorization rules, which may be HIPAA-compliant.

Abstract: A system includes a processor and a memory. When executed by the processor, the processor is caused to receive a document including at least one of structured data, semi-structured data, and unstructured data, analyze the metadata in the structured format to generate features enhancing the metadata in the structured format, produce classification data for the document based on the features enhancing the metadata in the structured format and the content in the unstructured format, automatically classify the document based on the classification data and store the classification data in a database structure. The classification data is used to effectively search for the document. The structured data includes metadata about the document in a structured format, the semi-structured data includes content of the document in an unstructured format and metadata about the document in the structured format and the unstructured data includes the content of the document in the unstructured format.

A cage has an outer perimeter connected to the second side of the base. The cage has a recess and a central opening in the recess. The recess in the base and the recess in the cage mate to form a receptacle. A pin has a first end and a second end. The first end of the pin is disposed within the receptacle. The second end of the pin is disposed exterior to the recess via the central opening in the cage. A magnet is connected to the first end of the pin. The magnet and the first end of the pin are captured in the receptacle.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for determining non-disjoint network segments in a fiber optic network. An embodiment transmits, using a signal generator, a signal into a fiber optic network. The embodiment receives, using a receiver, a set of signals comprising at least first and second ones of the set of signals for respective first and second network sections. The embodiment then compares, using a comparator, the first and second ones of the set of signals to determine if a comparison exceeds a similarity threshold. The embodiment then determines a proximity measure between the first and second network segments, using a proximity device, in response to the first and second ones of the set of signals exceeding the similarity threshold. Based on determining the proximity measure is less than a proximity threshold, determine the first and second network segments as a pair of non-disjoint network segments.

Abstract: A carbon dioxide capture and sequestration system comprises a growth module, a drying module, a sequestration module and a carbon dioxide recapture apparatus. The carbon dioxide recapture apparatus includes at least one conduit coupled to the growth module, the drying module, and the sequestration module for routing carbon dioxide liberated from at least one of the harvested algal biomass within the drying module and the dried algal biomass within the sequestration module to the growth module.

Abstract: An assembly for deck construction includes a post having an upper end portion and a lower end portion, the post defining a plurality of internal slots. A base is secured to the lower end portion of the post, and a post-beam cap secured to the upper end portion of the post. The post-beam cap includes a continuous load-bearing upper surface, a lower flanged portion configured to engage the upper end portion of the post, and a plurality of contoured tabs extending from a lower surface of the post-beam cap, wherein the plurality of contoured tabs are configured to engage more than one of the plurality of internal slots of the post. The continuous load-bearing upper surface is configured to abut and distribute loads from a beam of the deck construction to the post, and the beam distributes the loads to the base.

Abstract: A physician-prescribed and compounding pharmacy-compounded minoxidil-containing hair growth composition is described, containing minoxidil, glycerin, polysorbate-80, and propylene glycol in aqueous ethanol solution at pH in a range of from 3.8 to 5.2. The composition may contain additional ingredients such as finasteride, dutasteride, retinoic acid, tretinoin, sulfuric acid, hypochlorous acid, and citric acid. The described hair growth compositions are stable against minoxidil precipitation for at least 6 months at temperature in a range of from 5° C. to 32° C., and may contain physician-prescribed minoxidil at a concentration that is in a range of from 1.2 wt % to 12 wt %, based on total weight of the composition. Various methods of preparation of such compositions are additionally described.

Abstract: A battery management system having at least one optical pathway including a plurality of optical communication devices connected to one of a plurality of batteries. Each optical communication device emits optical signals, the optical signals include data about the batteries. Each of the optical communication devices includes an optical emitter operable for emitting the optical signals, an optical sensor operable for receiving the optical signals, a controlling circuit for processing the optical signals, and a printed circuit board (PCB). The optical emitter, the optical sensor, and the controlling circuit are mounted to the PCB. The optical pathway includes a layer of transparent film, and a layer of reflective film is connected to the layer of transparent film. The optical signals which pass through the layer of transparent film and reflect off of the layer of reflective film are received by the optical sensor of one of the optical communication devices.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing real-time access to remote media production editing functionality. In various embodiments, in response to a request for real-time access to remote media production editing functionalities, a computing system provisions access to a media production software application (“app”) on at least one of compute resources on at least one network edge node among a plurality of network edge nodes. The computing system establish an access connection between the at least one network edge node and a remote media storage system, via remote direct memory access (“RDMA”) functionality. The computing system provides access to at least one media production file that is stored on the remote media storage system via the established access connection, for editing using the instantiated media production app. User input for the instantiated media production app and data, content, and/or editing results may be relayed over the established access connection.

Abstract: A data processing system includes a processor, and a memory storing executable instructions which, when executed by the processor, cause the processor alone or in combination with other processors to perform the following functions: based on a list of design purposes, generate prompts requesting a Large Language Model (LLM) to produce corresponding prompts for input to a text-to-image model to generate a proposed design corresponding to each design purpose; submit the prompts from the LLM to the text-to-image model; receive the proposed designs from the text-to-image model; and increase a design template library by adding a design based on the proposed designs output by the text-to-image model.

Abstract: A system includes a camera system configured to capture images of items in a tote. The camera system is configured to interface with an artificial intelligence (AI) system to process images in a variety of ways to support picking and/or placing operations by a robot. Such processing includes planning pick points for items, applying a filter to an image, and planning movement of a robot to perform a picking operation. The camera system further includes an augmented reality tag (ARTag) that is used to calibrate cameras and other devices. The system is configured to train the AI system based on images collected by the camera system wherein the camera system randomly varies the camera settings for each image.

Abstract: In a method for broadcasting account provisioning information, user datum encryption information is transmitted to a plurality of account processing systems. A request to share account provisioning information is received from a user device associated with an account holder. A user datum of the account holder is encrypted using the encryption information and transmitted to the account processing systems. A response is received from at least one of the account processing systems, the response including an indication that the account holder has a transaction account processed by that account processing system. A request for confirmation that the account provisioning information should be shared is sent to the user device and a confirmation response is received from the user device that includes permission to share account provisioning information. Account provisioning information is then transmitted to one or more of the account processing systems.

Abstract: A pet locating system and method includes a pet tracking device to be worn by a pet, with the device including a Bluetooth scanner to monitor a status of a presence or an absence of Bluetooth beacons within a predefined area, a Wi-Fi module to connect to a wireless network to communicate the status with a cloud-based server, a cellular modem to communicate the status with the cloud-based server when the device is outside a range of the wireless network, and a GPS receiver to obtain location data of a pet wearing the device and communicate the location data with the cloud-based server.

Abstract: A computer-implemented method comprising transmitting a user interface to be displayed to a user. The user interface can include one or more first interactive elements. The one or more first interactive elements display policy settings of a reinforcement learning model. The one or more first interactive elements are configured to allow the user to update the policy settings of the reinforcement learning model. The method also can include receiving one or more inputs from the user. The inputs include one or more modifications of at least a portion of the one or more first interactive elements of the user interface to update the policy settings of the reinforcement learning model. The method additionally can include training a neural network model using a reinforcement learning model with the policy settings as updated by the user to adjust rewards assigned in the reinforcement learning model. Abstract: A communication system uses multiple communications links, preferably links that use different communications media. The multiple communications links may include a high latency/high bandwidth link using a fiber-optic cable configured to carry large volumes of data but having a high latency. The communications links may also include a low latency/low bandwidth link implemented using skywave propagation of radio waves and configured to carry smaller volumes of data with a lower latency across a substantial portion of the earth's surface. The two communications links may be used together to coordinate various activities such as the buying and selling of financial instruments.
