Abstract: A device may determine values for a set of metrics related to a set of event messages being processed, by a set of server devices, from a set of queues. The values for the set of metrics may be determined as the set of event messages are being processed. Each of the set of queues may be associated with a different subset of event messages and a different subset of server devices. The device may determine to scale a quantity of server devices included in the set of server devices. The quantity of server devices may be scaled to increase the quantity of server devices or to decrease the quantity of server devices. The device may provide a set of instructions to scale the quantity of server devices. The device may perform an action to facilitate accessibility of data related to processing of the set of event messages.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed herein for opening files via local applications. A first application on a local device receives a request to open a document specified by a user via a user interface associated with the first application, the document having a document identifier and associated with a first file stored on a server, the request comprising the document identifier and a user identifier. The first application forwards the request to open the document associated with the first file to a second application on the local device, and receives, from the second application, a list comprising one or more document processing applications that are on the local device and are capable of opening a second file that is stored on the local device and has the same document identifier as the document specified by the user, the second file being a local copy of the first file.

Abstract: An example method is provided in according with one implementation of the present disclosure. The method comprises generating a group of most frequent elements in a dataset, calculating features of each of the most frequent elements in the dataset, applying a trained model to the features of each of the most frequent elements, and generating a list of predicted relevant elements from the list of most frequent elements. The method further comprises determining at least one element-chain group for each predicted relevant element and a group score for the element-chain-group, ordering a plurality of element-chain groups for the dataset based on the group score for each of the element-chain groups, and identifying a predetermined number of element-chain groups to be outputted to a user.

Abstract: A system of multi-modal transmission of packetized data in a voice activated data packet based computer network environment is provided. A natural language processor component can parse an input audio signal to identify a request and a trigger keyword. Based on the input audio signal, a direct action application programming interface can generate a first action data structure, and a content selector component can select a content item. An interface management component can identify first and second candidate interfaces, and respective resource utilization values. The interface management component can select, based on the resource utilization values, the first candidate interface to present the content item. The interface management component can provide the first action data structure to the client computing device for rendering as audio output, and can transmit the content item converted for a first modality to deliver the content item for rendering from the selected interface.

Abstract: A head-mounted display device includes a first light element configured to transmit a first light having a first color; a second light element configured to transmit a second light having a second color; a first lens configured for directing the first light in a first direction and directing the second light in a second direction; and a first set of one or more lenses configured for directing the first light and the second light from the first lens toward a first eye of a user. Also disclosed is a method that includes transmitting a first light and a second light through a first lens and a first set of one or more lenses and directing the first light and the second light toward a first eye of a user. Further disclosed is a method for adjusting a position of one or more lenses.

Abstract: An apparatus has a first portion of a magnetic braking system with a first element disposed thereon. The first portion rotates about an axis. The position of the first element is a fixed distance from the axis. A second portion of the magnetic braking system has a second element disposed thereon. A spring biases the rotatable first portion a first distance from the second portion. Upon application of a force to one of the portions, the relative position of the rotatable first portion to the second portion is reduced to a second distance less than the first distance.

Abstract: Various embodiments described herein relate to a sortation conveyer system including a cart coupling assembly for coupling two adjacent carts. The cart coupling assembly includes a coupling disc having a control slot, a bearing slot, and one or more arcuately shaped mounting slots. The coupling disc is mounted on a cart such that, upon rotation of the coupling disc, a control slot cavity defined by the control slot slidably moves about a position register screw along the control slot cavity, and a cavity defined by a respective mounting slot slidably moves relative to a respective mounting pin received in the mounting slot. Cavities defined by the control slot facilitate a continual translation of a center of rotation of the coupling disc linearly, to adjust a gap between the two carts. The control slot includes position registers that restrict a sliding movement of the control slot cavity.

Abstract: A shovel head, with a receptacle for a shaft, and a blade with two faces; a top face and a bottom face. The blade utilizes a separate, but interlocked, wear strip on the leading edge of the blade. The wear strip is similar in length to the length of the leading edge of the blade. The wear strip has a slot built into it, with an upper lip and a lower lip, and the slot runs parallel to the blade's leading edge and is of similar size in contrast to the blade thickness. There are two concave indentations internally, with one on the top lip of the slot, and one on the bottom lip of the slot, running parallel to, and the full length of the slot. On the faces of the blade there are two convex ribs, one rib on the top face, and one rib on the bottom face. The two ribs run parallel to the leading edge of the blade. The convex ribs on the blade's top and bottom face match in contrast to the concave indentations on the upper and lower lip of the wear strip slot in both size and shape.

Abstract: A robotic surgical system including a control system that controls the movement of a robotic arm is described. The robotic arm can be coupled to a tool assembly that includes an end effector positioned at a distal end of a shaft. The control system can assist with controlling the movement of the end effector and any tooling (e.g., cutting tool, boring tool, jaws, etc.) associated with the end effector, such as for either cutting through tissue or controlling a tension in the tissue. The tool assembly can include one or more sensors that measure a variety of forces or velocities associated with either the robotic arm or end effector. The control system can collect and monitor such sensed forces and velocities to determine and control one or more appropriate movement parameters associated with the robotic arm thereby controlling the cutting of tissue and preventing unwanted cutting of tissue. Furthermore, movement parameters associated with more than one robotic arm can be controlled by the control system.

Abstract: Methods and systems for determining a mood of a human driver of a vehicle and using the mood for generating a vehicle response, is provided. One example method includes capturing, by a camera of the vehicle, a face of the human driver. The capturing is configured to capture a plurality of images over a period of time, and the plurality of images are analyzed to identify a facial expression and changes in the facial expression of the human driver over the period of time. The method further includes capturing, by a microphone of the vehicle, voice input of the human driver. The voice input is captured over the period of time. The voice input is analyzed to identify a voice profile and changes in the voice profile of the human driver over the period of time. The method processes, by a processor of the vehicle, a combination of the facial expression and the voice profile captured during the period of time to predict the mood of the human driver.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including an apparatus for accessing a N-dimensional tensor, the apparatus including, for each dimension of the N-dimensional tensor, a partial address offset value element that stores a partial address offset value for the dimension based at least on an initial value for the dimension, a step value for the dimension, and a number of iterations of a loop for the dimension. The apparatus includes a hardware adder and a processor. The processor obtains an instruction to access a particular element of the N-dimensional tensor. The N-dimensional tensor has multiple elements arranged across each of the N dimensions, where N is an integer that is equal to or greater than one. The processor determines, using the partial address offset value elements and the hardware adder, an address of the particular element and outputs data indicating the determined address for accessing the particular element of the N-dimensional tensor.

Abstract: Example implementations relate to separating verifications from test executions. Some implementations may include a data capture engine that captures data points during test executions of the application under test. The data points may include, for example, application data, test data, and environment data. Additionally, some implementations may include a data correlation engine that correlates each of the data points with a particular test execution state of the application under test based on a sequence of events that occurred during the particular test execution state. Furthermore, some implementations may also include a test verification engine that, based on the correlation of the data points, verifies an actual behavior of the application under test separately from the particular test execution state.

Abstract: A method includes parsing a text source document to construct a document node tree such that the document node tree includes text offsets indicating the location of the text within the text source document corresponding to each node of the document node tree. The method includes constructing, from the document node tree, a Document Object Model (DOM) and a view node tree that represents the DOM. The constructing of the view node tree includes mapping the view node tree to the document node tree. The method includes providing a running representation of the DOM and one of tracking a modification to the DOM to provide first change information and tracking a modification to the text source document to provide second change information.
