Abstract: Example implantable tissue anchors, kits that include an implantable tissue anchor, and associated methods are described. An example implantable tissue anchor is moveable between a first, expanded configuration and a second, compressed configuration. The implantable tissue anchor has a first end, a second end, and a main body. The main body defines a first arm, a second arm, a first plurality of recesses on the first arm, a first plurality of barbs on the first arm, a second plurality of recess on the second arm, and a second plurality of barbs on the second arm. The first arm and the second arm define a first closed loop and a first passageway that extends through the main body when the implantable tissue anchor is in the first, expanded configuration.
Abstract: A driver and method for operating a driver circuit for a light-emitting diode (LED) device. In some embodiments, the driver circuit includes a rectifier operatively coupled to a ballast, a current regulator operatively coupled to the rectifier and to the LED device, and a detecting module operatively coupled to the LED device and to the current regulator. During a startup stage, the rectifier of the driver circuit rectifies direct current received from the ballast and provides the rectified current to the current regulator. The detecting module then detects a current through the LED device provided by the current regulator during the startup stage, wherein a value of the current through the LED device is a detecting indictor.
Abstract: A deployable antenna system for deployment in an extraterrestrial environment is provided, the deployable antenna system comprising a deployment mechanism including one or more extendable support structures comprising at least one axial support structure adapted to extend in a z-direction parallel to a z-axis in the deployable antenna system and a deployable antenna attached to the one or more extendable support structures and adapted to be stowed in an undeployed state and to be unfurled into a deployed state by the deployment mechanism, the deployable antenna being further adapted to extend and unfurl during deployment from the deployment mechanism in the z-direction responsive to extension of the at least one axial support structure, the deployable antenna including one or more flexible membranes coupled to the at least one axial support structure and extending from the z-axis in the deployed state.

Abstract: Remote power supply systems are provided for motor vehicles for powering auxiliary devices separate from the vehicles. Exemplary remote power supply systems may include one or more exportable power outlet boxes that include electrical power outlets for connecting the auxiliary devices. The electrical power outlets may be powered by a generator system of the vehicle. A retractable power extension cord may be connected to one or more of the electrical power outlets for repositioning the electrical power outlets at a distance away from the vehicle. Users may also supply their own extension cord, in which case a human machine interface of the system may allow the users to enter extension cord-related parameters. A control module of the system may determine a maximum recommended power limit of the extension cord based on known cord-related parameters. The control module may further issue alerts or power shutdown commands when certain extension cord overload or overtemperature conditions exist.

Abstract: An arm-training device, and methods of making and using such an arm-training device, whereby the arm-training device includes a flexible elongate member having an elastic length disposed between opposing first and second ends; a first loop formed proximate the first end; a second loop formed proximate the second end; a first slide coupled to the first loop, the first slide movable along the length of the elongate member; and a second slide coupled to the second loop, the second slide movable along the length of the elongate member.
Abstract: A combine for harvesting a harvested material that includes a grain, the combine comprising: a threshing chamber comprising a series of threshing and separating apparatuses, sequentially arranged, comprising at least: (i) a straight bar concave (ii) a first round bar concave, and (iii) a second round bar concave. The size of each of the straight bar throats is smaller than a size of the first openings, and the size of each of the first openings is smaller than the size of each of the second openings.
Abstract: In a wireless communication network, an Application Function (AF) exposes an Application Programming Interface (API) for User Equipment (UE) information, and in response, receives API calls from an external data system. The AF transfers API responses to the external data system. The AF transfers API usage data to distributed ledger circuitry. The distributed ledger circuitry stores the API usage data in data blocks that form a blockchain. The distributed ledger circuitry terminates the blockchain, and in response, transfers a terminating data block for delivery to a network data system. The network data system generates an API charge based on the AF API usage data in the terminating data block.
Abstract: Examples of the present disclosure describe systems and methods for providing enhanced security in edge computing environments. A first aspect describes a method for moving security features dynamically applied to an application at a first deployment location to an application at a second deployment location. A second aspect describes a method for locally expanding/contracting an instance of a deployed application. A third aspect describes a method for redirected network traffic associated with detected malicious conduct from a first application deployment environment to a secured second application deployment environment. A fourth aspect describes a method for performing multi-stage network traffic filtering.
