Abstract: Disclosed is a family of intranasal spray dispensers for administering uniform low doses of desmopressin so as to achieve safe antidiuresis in human patients. The dispensers of the invention may be used in the treatment of nocturia, primary nocturnal enuresis, incontinence, urinary frequency, diabetes insipidus, or any disease or syndrome where desmopressin therapy is useful or where safe temporary suppression of urine production may lead to beneficial health effects or increased convenience in voiding control.
Abstract: A system for adhering a roof board onto a corrugated roof by positioning an adhesive strip dispensing machine over a plurality of parallel top flutes of a corrugated roof and then simultaneously dispensing a plurality of adhesive strips on top of each of the plurality of parallel top flutes of the corrugated roof. The dispensing machine has a plurality of wheels or rollers mounted to a frame and a plurality of adhesive roll dispensers, and the adhesive is dispensed onto the top of top flutes by moving the dispensing machine in a direction parallel to the top flutes.

Abstract: A vessel, e.g., a bowl, suited for holding water or foodstuff for use as a pet bowl or human kitchen houseware. The vessel is scaled for use by pets or humans. Generally, this means that an inner surface of the vessel defines a volumetric space of 60 cubic centimeters to 30 liters for holding water or foodstuff. The bowl has a water level, and, at the water level, the surface area of the bowl being 56 cm to 900 square cm. To facilitate lifting and gripping by one or two human hands of a user, the vessel's outer surface includes one or more graspable elements disposed between the top and bottom of the vessel. Each graspable element is configured to receive one or more fingers of a user so that the user can grasp or otherwise engage the graspable element and lift the bowl from a surface when the bowl is upright on the surface.
Abstract: This document discloses system, method, and computer program product embodiments for assessing whether a vehicle that is positioned in an off-road parking area is exhibiting intent to enter the road. If the vehicle exhibits such intent, the system may forecast a trajectory for the vehicle. If the vehicle does not exhibit such intent, a trajectory forecast may not necessarily be required. The trajectory forecasts for vehicles that do exhibit such intent may then be used by an autonomous vehicle in motion planning operations.
Abstract: Some variations provide a polyoxalamide polymer comprising: one or more first segments containing at least one repeat unit that includes (i) a branched, aliphatic hydrocarbon species and (ii) first amide groups at internal ends of the repeat unit, wherein the first amide groups are part of oxalamide groups; one or more polymer end groups containing second amide groups that are each covalently bonded directly to one of the first amide groups, wherein the second amide groups are also part of the oxalamide groups, and wherein the oxalamide groups contain —N—C(?O)—C(—O)—N-sequences; and a reacted form of one or more multifunctional amine chain extenders or crosslinkers with an amine functionality of 3 or greater. The polyoxalamide polymer may be present in a lens, a window, a coating, or a film, for example. The polyoxalamide polymer may have UV transparency, visual transparency, NIR transparency, MWIR transparency, and/or LWIR transparency.

Abstract: A gas turbine engine can include a compressor section, a combustion section, and a turbine section in serial flow arrangement. At least one of the combustion section or turbine section can have an exhaust gas passage. The turbine engine can also include an exhaust gas temperature sensor with a housing having an elongated probe portion. The elongated probe portion can have an outer wall bounding an interior. A temperature probe can be provided within the housing.
Abstract: A laser projection system utilizes a waveguide having a narrow incoupler for double-bounce mitigation and form factor reduction. An optical scanner includes an optical relay positioned in between two scan mirrors. The first scan mirror scans laser light into the optical relay in a first dimension, and the optical relay and converges the scanned laser light towards a second scan mirror. The second scan mirror scans laser light along a second dimension substantially perpendicular to a path over which the laser light is scanned across the second scan mirror, and the convergence introduced by the optical relay causes the laser light to be scanned as a line or arc path of an exit pupil plane that is coincident with the incoupler. The optical relay may include one or more lenses or may be a monolithic molded structure, which may be an Offner-style relay or a molded reflective relay.

Abstract: The disclosure generally pertains to systems and methods for detecting obstacles in the pathway of cables. In an example method, a first location at a site for stationing a vehicle may be selected. A first routing for a cable may then be determined, where a first end of the cable is connected to the vehicle stationed at the first location. It may then be determined at the vehicle whether the first routing for the cable passes through at least one potential or actual obstacle, where the determination is based at least in part on a topographic map. Responsive to the determination that the first routing for the cable passes through the at least one potential or actual obstacle, a remedial action may be performed, where the remedial action prevents the first routing of the cable from passing through the at least one potential or actual obstacle.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatus, including computer programs encoded on computer storage media, for student accountability systems. School buses can be equipped with a bus system that executes a driver application. Students carry student identification (ID) systems that identify the students to the bus system, which in turn reports a geographic location to a student accountability system. The bus system is configured to permit rapid boarding and easy usage by drivers. The student accountability system provides a parent portal and an administrator portal to monitor the students and provide other useful functions.

Abstract: A control device for controlling power delivered to an electrical load includes a faceplate subassembly and a main control module. The faceplate subassembly includes a faceplate, a button, a circuit board, and a back cover. The faceplate includes a front surface and an opposed rear surface, and an opening extending therebetween with the button disposed in the opening in the faceplate. The back cover is positioned adjacent to the circuit board and defines a plurality of holes. A shaft of a post extending from the faceplate is disposed in one of the holes in the back cover and an end of the post is enlarged such that the back cover is captured between the end of the post and the rear surface of the faceplate. The main control module is configured to cause power delivered to the electrical load to be adjusted in response to depression of the button.
