Abstract: In one example, reads in a NAND memory device are tracked for sub-groups. When the number of reads to a sub-group meets a threshold, the data at the wordline on which the threshold was met is moved along with the data at neighboring wordlines to an SLC block without moving the entire block. The performance impact and write amplification impact of read disturb mitigation can be significantly reduced while maintaining some data continuity.
Abstract: To present a pickup location in a transportation service, a server device receives a request for ridesharing services from a rider's current location to a drop-off location. The server device broadcasts the request to drivers and receives an indication of acceptance of the request from one of the drivers. Then the server device provides a pickup location to the rider and the driver which is presented in a map display of the rider and driver's client devices. When the rider or driver's current location is within a threshold distance of the pickup location, the corresponding client device switches to an augmented reality mode and presents a camera view from a camera of the client device depicting real-world imagery. The server device provides information to the corresponding client device to present in the augmented reality mode overlaying the real-world imagery to assist the rider or driver in finding the pickup location.

Abstract: A structural assembly for use in a motor vehicle includes a rocker and a running board. The motor vehicle includes a vehicle frame and a door. The rocker extends in a longitudinal direction of the motor vehicle. Abstract: Video coding using neural network based inter-frame prediction is performed by generating a current reference frame by generating intermediate flows based on two input frames, performing backward warping of the input frames to generate reconstruction frames, and generating a fusion map and a residual map based on the input frames, the intermediate flows and the reconstruction frames. The video coding method further includes outputting an enhanced frame or a virtual reference picture by generating a feature map with different levels, based on the current reference frame, a first reference frame and a second reference frame, generating a predicted frame based on aligned features from the generated feature map by refining the current reference frame, the first reference frame, and the second reference frame, generating a final residual based on the predicted frame, and computing the enhanced frame as an output by adding the final residual to the current reference frame.

Abstract: The present disclosure provides techniques for bandwidth constrained communication systems with frequency domain information processing. A bandwidth constrained equalized transport (BCET) communication system can include a transmitter, a communication channel, and a receiver. The transmitter can include a pulse-shaping filter that intentionally introduces memory into a signal in the form of inter-symbol interference, an error control code (ECC) encoder, a multidimensional fast Fourier transform (FFT) processing block that processes the signal in the frequency domain, and a first interleaver. The receiver can include an information-retrieving equalizer, a deinterleaver with an ECC decoder, and a second interleaver joined in an iterative ECC decoding loop.

Abstract: Non-destructive testing scanner devices are disclosed to enable examination of portions of a part to be examined that presently-available scanners are not designed for. A scanner may include a central shaft having an assembly of engagement members adapted to engage an inner bore of a part and thereby support the central shaft along a central axis of the bore. An encoder may be supported by the central shaft. An ultrasonic probe may also be supported by the central shaft. The probe may be positioned on a surface of the part to be examined and moved in a circular path around the central shaft, and in so doing may cause a drive shaft on the encoder to rotate. The probe and encoder may be electrically connected to an instrument to convey data from the probe and from the encoder representative of characteristics of the surface being examined to the instrument.

Abstract: Multiple variate anomaly detection against multiple scopes of the requested resource. Even if one of the variates patterns is sensitive to physical location of the requestor and/or the resource, not all of the variates of the access pattern will be. Furthermore, even if one of the scopes of the resource is sensitive to physical location of the resource, not all scopes will be. Thus, the use of multiple variates of the access pattern and multiple scopes of the anomaly detection allows for better estimates of anomaly detection to be made, even when the source of the access request is virtualized and/or the location of the resource is virtualized.
Abstract: An augmented reality device receives beacon signals within a geographical area from beacons that facilitate determining a distance between the device and a respective beacon. The device sends beacon-related signals indicative of the beacon signals to a server, which determines the area of the device. The server determines markers within the area of the device, and sends marker signals and augmented reality content associated with the markers to the device. The device scans the area and outputs content associated with a marker it identifies based on the marker signals. As the device enters subsequent areas, it receives additional beacon signals from additional beacons, sends additional beacon-related signals, and receives additional marker signals and content. If there is insufficient storage space on the device to store the additional marker signals and content, the device deletes previous marker signals and associated content. The device stores the additional marker signals and content.
Abstract: The invention as described herein provides methods for treating a bone of a patient, including locating a treatment volume in a bone of the patient, administering a sclerosing agent to the treatment volume, and, after administering the sclerosing agent, administering bone graft material to the treatment volume. In some embodiments, the sclerosing agent and the bone graft are administered in a minimally invasive manner using a delivery device. The placement of the delivery device and/or the administration of the sclerosing agent and/or bone graft can use imaging to guide the placement and/or administration. The patient can be a pediatric patient and the treatment volume can comprise a bone lesion, a unicameral bone cyst or an aneurysmal bone cyst.
