Abstract: Techniques for constructing and otherwise managing knowledge graphs in information processing system environments are disclosed. For example, a method comprises the following steps. The method collects data from a plurality of data sources. The method extracts structured data and unstructured data from the collected data, wherein unstructured data is extracted using an unsupervised machine learning process. The method forms a plurality of sub-graph structures comprising a sub-graph structure for each of the data sources based on at least a portion of the extracted structured data and unstructured data. The method combines the plurality of sub-graph structures to form a combined graph structure representing the collected data from the plurality of data sources. The resulting combined graph structure is a comprehensive knowledge graph.

Abstract: A door lock chassis has a gauge insert that defines different dimensions corresponding to different door thicknesses. The gauge insert is positionable in the lock chassis in different orientations corresponding to the different dimensions used to align the lock chassis for different door thicknesses. Additionally, a door lock may include an anti-rotation assembly for preventing rotation of the lock chassis. The anti-rotation assembly may include a retention member that is secured to an inside hub of a lock chassis. As an anti-rotation member is displaced in a first axial direction along the inside hub to a mount position, the anti-rotational member may deflect resilient members of the retention member. With the anti-rotation member at the mounted position, the anti-rotation member may be in a frictional engagement with the previously deflected resilient members so that anti-rotation member is retained at the mount position.

Abstract: Technologies for transitioning between two-dimensional (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) display views for video conferencing are described herein. Video conferencing applications can have multiple display views for a user participating in a video conference. In certain situations a user may want to transition from a 2D display view of the video conference to a more immersive 3D display view. These transitions can be visually jarring and create an uncomfortable user experience. The transition from a 2D display view to a 3D display view can be improved by executing the transition to a 3D display view by manipulating visual properties of a virtual camera that is employed to generate the display views.
Abstract: According to one aspect, a web optimized user device is provided. The web optimized device reduces complexity and facilitates interaction with web-based services and content. The web optimized device can be configured without a hard drive, facilitating integration of web-based services into a computing experience. The web optimized device presents a user interface that integrates video functionality into every aspect of the computer content accessed. In particular, a display manager manages the user interface presented and integrates video displays and features into the content displays in a content and/or context aware manner. These displays permit a user to intuitively interact with the video content and features while the user changes content, for example, web-based services, web-based applications, and other media content, without interruption of or interference from the video content.

Abstract: A testing platform tests an electrical and mechanical system such as an HVAC unit according to an algorithm that reduces the total testing time of the components of the system, while ensuring the safety of the system during system-wide testing. The platform uses constraints that are checked both before and during the testing to ensure that HVAC operating conditions are acceptable for starting and maintaining component tests. Preferably, the platform uses finite-state machines for each device to organize the component tests, allowing for monitoring of constraints and starting, pausing, and stopping component tests. Preferably, total test execution time is reduced by running component tests in parallel, running component tests based on loads of the components, or combinations of both.

Abstract: A union is used to join mating high pressure flow line components. The union comprises an abutment, an annular gland, a seal assembly, and a plurality of threaded connectors. The abutment is between bearing surfaces on the mating components. The gland is formed by alignment of rabbets on the mating components and extends axially across and radially inward of the bearing surface. The seal assembly is carried in the gland and comprises first and second elastomeric seals on each side of a metal backup ring. The threaded connectors extend through holes in the mating components and apply axial load to the abutment to form the union.

Abstract: An internal combustion engine system includes an internal combustion engine, an exhaust aftertreatment system with a catalytic converter configured to receive exhaust gas from the internal combustion engine, and a light-off catalyst system including an electrolyzer configured to perform an electrolysis of water to produce a mixture of hydrogen and oxygen gases. A conduit is in fluid communication between the electrolyzer and an intake of the internal combustion engine. A controller is configured to supply the mixture of hydrogen and oxygen gases to the engine intake during a cold start to facilitate rapidly warming the catalytic converter to a light-off temperature.
Abstract: A system and method for managing resources of a processor is disclosed. In an illustrative embodiment, the method includes accepting a command to execute an application at least in part by the processor, executing the application using the processor, monitoring execution parameters characterizing the execution of the application by the processor, and storing the monitored execution parameters in a memory accessible to processor. In one example, the execution parameters including an identifier of the application and a time at which the application begins execution.
Abstract: Apparatus and methods for generating secondary content scheduling and product offerings for users of a managed content distribution network, such as a cable, satellite, of HFCu network. In one embodiment, the secondary content comprises advertising content to be distributed across a plurality of content networks carried by the managed content distribution network. A plurality of computerized models (including various simulations) are generated based on various data sources, including historical tuning event data for the managed network's subscribers), and subsequently implemented to structure advertising schedules or campaigns (“bundles”) for each customer in a substantially automated fashion, and that will achieve the desired level of performance specified by the customer, consistent with their budget.
Abstract: A reusable modular structural member may replace wooden structures used in concrete forming, transportation, marine, and construction applications. The reusable modular structural member includes a structural profile with first and second sides; a plurality of support beams extending from the first to the second side; at least two fasteners, one at a first end and another at a second end of each of the plurality of ribs; and a groove on a first edge and a tongue on a second edge that are configured to form a dovetail joint that can attach two reusable modular structural members of similar configuration. A reusable modular member can include the modular structural profile and interfacial layers covering the first and second sides. The reusable modular member may be made by extruding the structural profile and molding a recycled plastic polymer to external portions of the structural profile to form the interfacial layers.

Abstract: Methods and systems provide in-building coverage analytics from mobile measured data. In one embodiment, outlines of buildings in a region are obtained. The outline defines a footprint of the building in the region. The mobile measured data for the region is obtained. The mobile measured data indicates the levels of mobile coverage in the region. The roaming data for the region is obtained. The mobile measured data and the roaming data for each area within each building outline in the region is combined. Buildings having a poor in-building mobile coverage are identified based on the combined mobile measured data and the roaming data.
Abstract: Systems, devices and methods enable generation and monitoring of support platform structural conditions in a manner that overcomes drawbacks associated with conventional approaches (e.g., load cells) for generating and monitoring similar operating condition information. In preferred embodiments, such systems, devices and methods utilize fiber optic strain gauges (i.e., fiber optic sensors) in place of (e.g., retrofit/data replacement) or in combination with conventional load cells. The fiber optic sensors are strategically placed at a plurality of locations on one or more support bodies of a support platform. In preferred embodiments, the fiber optic strain gauges are placed in positions within a hull and/or one or more pontoons of an offshore platform. Such positions are selected whereby resulting operating condition data generated by the fiber optic strain gauges suitably replaces data received by conventionally constructed and located load cells of an offshore platform (e.g., a TLP).
