Abstract: Systems and devices for controlling flow of a fluid through a valve are provided. A valve plug can include a hub. The hub can include a hub body having a longitudinal axis extending through the hub body and a bore extending along the longitudinal axis extending through the hub body. The hub can also include at least one elliptically-shaped protrusion integrally formed within the hub body. The valve plug can also include a dome having a first surface, a second surface opposite the first surface, and at least one side wall extending between the first surface and the second surface around a circumference of the dome. The valve plug can also include at least one arm extending between the hub body and the second surface of the dome. The valve plug can be coupled to a drive shaft and a controller in a variety of non-limiting valve types.
Abstract: An event historian system receives event data from a client system via a network connection and stores the event data in a block data storage system. An event data block in which to store the received event data is selected based on the time range of the occurrence of the received event data. The received event data is stored in a snapshot within the event data block. Event property data is extracted from the received event data and used to build a plurality of event property index files.

Abstract: To percutaneously deliver a replacement tricuspid valve, a cable is percutaneously positioned with a first end extending out of the venous vasculature at the neck, and a second end extending out of a femoral access point. An eyehook device is positioned over the first end. A tricuspid valve delivery device (TVDD) is advanced over the second end, and then advanced through an IVC into a right atrium. The eyehook device is advanced into the right ventricle, drawing an intermediate portion of the cable into the right ventricle. Contact between the distal end of the eyehook device and the right ventricle is maintained while the TVDD is pushed from the femoral vein. The intermediate portion of cable applies a force to a distal nose of the TVDD that causes the distal nose to be steered into a tricuspid valve annulus as the TVDD is advanced.
Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems and methods for a collaboration conferencing system to track a total number of concurrently utilized ports across any number of conferencing bridges of the network for a particular customer and one or more billing actions may occur based on this tracking. This may result in an alternate billing option for the customer's use of the system. Further, a telecommunications network administrator may provide access to the collaboration conferencing system based on a total number of concurrently utilized ports rather than on a per conference or per minute basis. With the information of the number of purchased ports by the customer, the administrator may more accurately predict an available capacity for the collaboration conferencing system needed to support all of the users of the system and the potential collaboration conferences.

Abstract: A pet toy includes a ring shaped peripheral body and an interior dispenser. An interior curved engaging surface of the peripheral body engages an exterior spherical surface of the dispenser. A curvature of the interior engaging surface allows the dispenser to continuously roll or rotate, yet maintain engagement with the peripheral body when the peripheral body is displaced by contact. Abstract: The present disclosure is concerned with a method of forming a seal with a polyethylene based film structure. The polyethylene based film structure has at least one layer formed with an oriented polyethylene having a predetermined melting temperature (Tm). A conductive heat sealing device provides heat to form the seal, where a first sealing bar of the conductive heat sealing device operates at a first operating temperature of at least 10 degrees Celsius (° C.) below the Tm of the oriented polyethylene in the polyethylene based film structure and a second sealing bar of the conductive heat sealing device operates at a second operating temperature of at least 15° C. higher than the operating temperature of the first sealing bar. The seal formed with the polyethylene based film structure retains at least 99 percent of its original surface area prior to forming the seal.

Abstract: The technology relates to determining a source of a horn honk or other noise in an environment around one or more self-driving vehicles. Aspects of the technology leverage real-time information from a group of self-driving vehicles regarding received acoustical information. The location and pose of each self-driving vehicle in the group, along with the precise arrangement of acoustical sensors on each vehicle, can be used to triangulate or otherwise identify the actual location in the environment for the origin of the horn honk or other sound. Other sensor information, map data, and additional data can be used narrow down or refine the location of a likely noise source. Once the location and source of the noise is known, each self-driving vehicle can use that information to modify current driving operations and/or use it as part of a reinforcement learning approach for future driving situations.

Abstract: The present technology relates to a data processing device and a data processing method, which are capable of securing excellent communication quality in data transmission using an LDPC code. In group-wise interleave, an LDPC code in which a code length N is 16200 bits and an encoding rate r is 6/15, 8/15, or 10/15 is interleaved in units of bit groups of 360 bits. In group-wise deinterleave, a sequence of the LDPC code that has undergone the group-wise interleave is restored to an original sequence. For example, the present technology can be applied to a technique of performing data transmission using an LDPC code.
