Abstract: Systems and methods are provided for generating a digital medium of exchange blockchain that is based on a metered amount of generated electrical energy. In one example, a meter computing system coupled to a power generation source can include a sensor that monitors an amount of electrical energy generated by the power generation source over time. The meter computing system can determine when the amount of electrical energy generated by the power generation source reaches a predetermined increment of generated power. The meter computing system can generate a digital unit based on a correlation to the predetermined increment of generated power, wherein the digital unit comprises a unique hashed digital signature that includes unit traceability data. The meter computing system can store the digital unit within a decentralized ledger accessible by the meter computing device.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed for improving dialog management for task-oriented dialog systems. The disclosed dialog builder leverages machine teaching processing to improve development of dialog managers. In this way, the dialog builder combines the strengths of both rule-based and machine-learned approaches to allow dialog authors to: (1) import a dialog graph developed using popular dialog composers, (2) convert the dialog graph to text-based training dialogs, (3) continuously improve the trained dialogs based on log dialogs, and (4) generate a corrected dialog for retraining the machine learning.

Abstract: A telecommunications network server system provides a digital identifier to a user device. The digital identifier may include identification data corresponding to a user of the user device. In addition, the telecommunications network server system receives, from one or more third-party systems, requests to authenticate the user for an electronic transaction with the respective third-party system. The telecommunications network server system provides a unique electronic transaction code to each third-party system. Responsive to receiving from the user device one of the unique electronic transaction codes, the telecommunications network server system provides, to the respective third-party system, authentication of the user.

Abstract: A process for steam cracking a whole crude including a volatilization step performed to maintain a relatively large hydrocarbon droplet size. The process may include contacting a whole crude with steam to volatilize a portion of the hydrocarbons, wherein the contacting of the hydrocarbon feedstock and steam is conducted at an initial relative velocity of less than 30 m/s, for example. The resulting vapor phase, including volatilized hydrocarbons and steam may then be separated from a liquid phase comprising unvaporized hydrocarbons. The hydrocarbons in the vapor phase may then be forwarded to a steam pyrolysis reactor for steam cracking of the hydrocarbons in the vapor phase.

Abstract: The present invention includes systems and methods for a continuous-wave (CW) radar system for detecting, geolocating, identifying, discriminating between, and mapping ferrous and non-ferrous metals in brackish and saltwater environments. The radar system (e.g., the CW radar system) generates multiple extremely low frequency (ELF) electromagnetic waves simultaneously and uses said waves to detect, locate, and classify objects of interest. These objects include all types of ferrous and non-ferrous metals, as well as changing material boundary layers (e.g., soil to water, sand to mud, rock to organic materials, water to air, etc.). The radar system (e.g., the CW radar system) is operable to detect objects of interest in near real time.

Abstract: Vascular access devices, systems, and methods of their use are provided. In one embodiment, a vascular access device includes a catheter, a balloon, and an inflation lumen. The catheter includes an elongate flexible shaft having a proximal end and a distal end with a primary lumen therethrough. The balloon is disposed about the distal end of the catheter. The inflation lumen is in fluid communication with the balloon and extends toward the proximal end of the shaft of the catheter. The balloon is inflatable into a shape having a first open end, a second open end, a sidewall between the first and second open ends, and a passageway therethrough, which, when the balloon is deployed and inflated within a vessel, permits blood flowing in the vessel to flow through the passageway.
Abstract: Reducing overheads of recording a replayable execution trace of a program's execution at a computer processor by omitting logging of accesses to memory addresses whose values can be reconstructed or predicted. A computer system determines that memory values corresponding to a range of memory addresses within a memory space for a process can be obtained separately from the process' execution, and configures a data structure for instructing a processor to omit logging of memory accesses when the processor accesses an address within this range while executing the process. Correspondingly, upon detecting a memory access while executing the process, the processor determines if it has been instructed to omit logging of the access by checking the data structure. When the data structure instructs the processor to omit logging of the access, the processor omits logging the memory access while it uses a cache to process the memory access.
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for generating a corpus of documents from an original document or document corpus. Original documents are processed to extract document layout and elements. Elements are clustered and processed by neural networks, such as GANs, to generate additional elements that are then combined with the extracted layout to produce new documents, such as for training automated document processing systems.
Abstract: A method executed by a computing device includes determining a set of identigens for each query word of a query to produce sets of identigens, where a set of identigens represents different meanings of a word of the query. The method further includes obtaining a first identigen selection for a first query word from the first set of identigens. The method further includes interpreting, using identigen pairing rules and based on the first identigen selection, the sets of identigens to produce a query entigen group. The method further includes accessing a knowledge database utilizing the query entigen group to produce a response entigen group. The method further includes generating a response to the query using the response entigen group, where the response includes at least one response word.

Abstract: A cooler and freezer access control system locks a cooler or freezer when occurrence of an event is detected that requires limiting access to the inside of the cooler or freezer. Examples of such events include the loss of power to the cooler or freezer for a predetermined period of time, the opening of the cooler or freezer door for longer than an allowed time, the loss of functionality of a temperature probe and others. In an embodiment, a service mode is supported wherein the door is left unlocked despite the occurrence of such an event, to allow a stocker or other personnel to leave the cooler or freezer door open while stocking the cooler or freezer with product.
