  • Patent number: 12259717
Abstract: In an industrial control system (ICS), latent vectors are generated to represent identity or behaviors of host devices coupled to the ICS. A computing system captures communications transmitted by a host device across a network associated with the ICS. A set of values are extracted from one or more respective fields in the communication, then applied to a trained neural network. Values of a first set of fields are applied at an input layer of the trained neural network, while values of a second set of fields are applied at an output layer of the neural network. Based on the application of the neural network to the values extracted from the communication, the computing system generates a latent vector.

  • Patent number: 12259928
Abstract: Named Entity Recognition (NER) in a user search query in a real-time search engine may be achieved by training a machine learning algorithm to create a trained model. The trained model may be configured to receive a user search query as input and to recognize and output zero or more named entities in the search query. The training may include an iterative training process in which further training data is added at each iteration, in some embodiments. The training may be based on three training data sets, in some embodiments. A first training data set may be based on user search and engagement activity. A second training data set may be artificially generated based on a catalog of named entity values. A third training data set may be based on optimized and supplemented data pairs sampled from the first training data set.

  • Patent number: 12259643
Abstract: Camera heads having up to three axes of rotation (e.g., pan, tilt, roll). Each axis of rotation coincides with the rotational output of a PCB stator motor. PCB stator motors are used to prevent cogging and to reduce weight, while giving haptic feedback to a user that allows the camera head to mimic the physical properties of various mechanical camera heads. For example, despite being lightweight, an embodiment of the inventive subject matter can imitate the feel of a much heavier mechanical system.

  • Patent number: 12257481
Abstract: The ball is a thin-walled hollow sphere that includes an array of apertures with dimples in a pattern that are concentric to the aperture array. Dimples are provided on the exterior surface of the ball between the apertures with the pattern and dimensions of the dimples varying based on proximity to the apertures. Internal protuberances are provided on the interior surface of the hollow ball such that the interior surface also manages aerodynamic airflow through the ball. Channels are also provided around each of the apertures within the ball which may intersect proximate dimples or be spaced therefrom. The ball also includes apertures having converging and diverging sidewalls that form a venturi shape to increase inflow air into the apertures and outflow air out of the apertures. Finally, the ball also maintains a weight:diameter ratio within a fixed range.

  • Patent number: 12258819
Abstract: During drilling operations by a drilling rig, drill bits may need to be changed, which can lead to inefficiency. Thus, a process is disclosed for automatically changing drill bits. The process utilizes the existing ability of the drill to tilt. In particular, a magazine may be provided that comprise a plurality of drill-bit pockets arranged in at least one column. Each of the drill-bit pockets within one column holds a drill bit at a different angle within the range of angles at which the drill is able to tilt. The process may control the angle of the drill to align with the angle of any one of the drill-bit pockets, and operate a drill string to release a drill bit into, or engage a drill bit within, that drill-bit pocket. Also, the magazine may comprise two or more columns, in which case, the magazine may be configured to slide laterally.
