Abstract: Some embodiments of the invention provide, for an intrusion detection and prevention system (IDPS) engine operating on a host computer deployed in a software-defined datacenter (SDDC), a method for detecting and analyzing malicious packet flows. Upon detecting a new packet flow, the method captures packets belonging to the new packet flow in a file. When the new packet flow ends, the method determines that a particular packet belonging to the new packet flow has triggered an alert indicating the particular packet includes a potentially malicious payload. The method annotates the file for the new packet flow with a set of contextual data that (1) specifies the new packet flow as a potentially malicious packet flow and (2) identifies the particular packet and at least one signature associated with the alert triggered by the particular packet.

Abstract: A protection system for portable electronic devices may include a first impact absorbing panel, a second impact absorbing panel, and multiple spacers adapted to hold the panels apart to accommodate the thickness of a portable electronic device inserted between the panels. The system may include a first rigid shell having multiple attachment slots around its periphery, a first impact absorbing material on the inner side of the first shell, a second rigid shell having multiple attachment slots around its periphery, a second impact absorbing material on the inner side of the second shell, multiple spacers adapted to attach to the shells at the attachment slots. The spacers hold the panels apart with their inner sides facing each other to form a protected space for the portable electronic devices between the shells and spacers.

A second inlet end connection includes a second inlet end flow passage. The second inlet end connection passage is substantially straight. A first outlet end connection includes a first outlet end flow passage. The first outlet end flow passage includes an angled portion. A second outlet end connection passage includes a second outlet end flow passage. The first and second inlet end connections and the first and second outlet end connections are rapidly reconfigurable to form a variety of valve configurations.

Abstract: A method for authenticating the identity of a user who is attempting to access a website or conduct a transaction is described. The method involves receiving two geographical locations, and associated time stamps, of a mobile phone associated with the user, one of the locations being the location of the transaction or access attempt. The method determines whether the speed required to travel between the two geographical locations in the elapsed time is within acceptable limits. A confidence score, derived in part from this calculation, is taken into account when deciding whether to allow or deny the access or the transaction.

In some embodiments, a method for editing a video is provided, the method comprising: receiving, using a hardware processor, a video file; identifying a plurality of frames at a playback frame rate from the video file; generating an edited video file by extracting a subset of the plurality of frames, wherein the extracted frames in the subset of the plurality of frames are separated by a predetermined length in the plurality of frames and wherein extracting the subset of the plurality frames modifies a frame rate of at least a portion of the video file to an effective frame rate; storing the edited video file; and presenting the edited video file at the playback frame rate.

Abstract: A process for extraction of crude oil from distillers dried grain solubles and/or distillers dried grains using a solvent extraction process and producing corn distillers meal that may be used as an animal feed supplement is disclosed. The corn distillers meal may be used as a crude protein supplement for use in a livestock feed diet, poultry feed diet, aquatic feed diet or the like. The solvent extracted crude oil may be suitable for other processes, including oleochemical processing for personal care and home care products, biodiesel production, and/or renewable diesel production from hydro-treating the extracted oil to make green diesel fuel.

The tool also includes a lock plate disposed between the top and bottom portions and having a deflectable arm having a free end biased towards the top portion, a fixed end opposite the free end, an inner edge, an outer edge, and a detent near the free end and the inner edge. The tool additionally includes a blade having first and second ends, an indent in a bottom surface of the blade near the first end for engaging the detent in a closed position, and a ramp on the bottom surface near the indent defining a reduced thickness portion of the blade that reduces in thickness from the indent towards an edge of the blade to reduce contact between the detent and the blade during rotation of the blade.

Abstract: Provided is a knowledge distillation technique for training a student language model that, relative to a larger teacher language model, has a significantly smaller vocabulary, lower embedding dimensions, and/or hidden state dimensions. Specifically, aspects of the present disclosure are directed to a dual-training mechanism that trains the teacher and student language models simultaneously to obtain optimal word embeddings for the student vocabulary. In some implementations, this approach can be combined with learning shared projection matrices that transfer layer-wise knowledge from the teacher language model to the student language model. Example experimental results have also demonstrated higher compression efficiency and accuracy when compared with other state-of-the-art compression techniques, including the ability to compress the BERTBASE model by more than 60×, with only a minor drop in downstream task metrics, resulting in a language model with a footprint of under 7 MB.

A braiding system configured in accordance with embodiments of the present technology can include, for example, an upper drive unit, a lower drive unit, a mandrel coaxial with the upper and lower drive units, and a plurality of tubes extending between the upper drive unit and the lower drive unit. Each tube can be configured to receive individual filaments for forming the tubular braid, and the upper drive unit and the lower drive unit can act against the tubes in synchronization to cross the filaments over and under one another to form the tubular braid on the mandrel.

Abstract: Systems and methods for providing dialog data, from an initially invoked automated assistant to a subsequently invoked automated assistant. A first automated assistant may be invoked by a user utterance, followed by a dialog with the user that is processed by the first automated assistant. During the dialog, a request to transfer dialog data to a second automated assistant is received. The request may originate with the user, by the first automated assistant, and/or by the second automated assistant. Once authorized, the first automated assistant provides the previous dialog data to the second automated assistant. The second automated assistant performs one or more actions based on the dialog data.

There may be six separately wound cylindrical capacitive elements each providing a capacitor section. The capacitor sections have a common element terminal. A pressure interrupter cover assembly is sealingly secured to the open end of case for the elements and has a deformable cover with a centrally mounted common cover terminal and a plurality of section cover terminals mounted at spaced apart locations. Abstract: Provided are methods for efficient vehicle extent estimation, which can include bounding box generation. Some methods described include determining bounding boxes surrounding detected point clusters according to tangents to convex hulls of the point clusters, and minimizing continuous functions of distances between points and bounding box sides. Accordingly, best-fit bounding boxes are determined more efficiently and quickly, as well as more accurately. Systems and computer program products are also provided.

Abstract: An engine having a linkage assembly, the linkage assembly having a governor lever, a governor shaft, and a throttle link. The governor lever couples the governor shaft to the throttle link. The governor lever is configured to adjust the relative position between the throttle link and the governor shaft. The governor lever has a primary arm and a secondary arm, the primary arm being movable with respect to the secondary arm. The primary arm and secondary arm are secured via a fastener which prevents relative motion between the primary and secondary arms.

Abstract: Provided are methods and systems for using synthetic resource records to configure and manage web applications and various online services. A user is provided with the ability to setup a single synthetic resource record for their domain such that all of the associated dependent resource records are automatically configured and added to the domain as well. The methods and systems provided utilize synthetic resource records as a way of logically grouping resource records into “human readable” sets of resource records. Through synthetic resource records, users are able to address common configuration issues without having to know the technical specifications of associated zone files or resource records. Additionally, users can complete a variety of configuration tasks related to setting-up web applications without having to look-up resource record values from external sites (e.g., from the domain host).

Abstract: A method for processing data exactly once using transactional stream writes includes receiving, from a client, a batch of data blocks for storage on memory hardware in communication with the data processing hardware. The batch of data blocks is associated with a corresponding sequence number and represents a number of rows of a table stored on the memory hardware. The method also includes partitioning the batch of data blocks into a plurality of sub-batches of data blocks. For each sub-batch of data blocks, the method further includes assigning the sub-batch of data blocks to a buffered stream; writing, using the assigned buffered stream, the sub-batch of data blocks to the memory hardware; updating a storage log with an intent to commit the sub-batch of data blocks using the assigned buffered stream; and committing the sub-batch of data blocks to the memory hardware.

Abstract: This disclosure provides recombinant DNA constructs and transgenic plants having enhanced traits such as increased yield, increased nitrogen use efficiency and enhanced drought tolerance; propagules, progeny and field crops of such transgenic plants; and methods of making and using such transgenic plants. This disclosure also provides methods of producing seed from such transgenic plants, growing such seed and selecting progeny plants with enhanced traits. Also disclosed are transgenic plants with altered phenotypes which are useful for screening and selecting transgenic events for the desired enhanced trait.
