Abstract: A system and method of creating electronic characters in one or more electronic formats, selectively customizing the characters, and presenting them via electronic channels in response to satisfaction of one or more programmable conditions is disclosed. The system enables entities to competitively bid to customize the personality and/or other attribute of a character. For example, a character may be presented via an electronic channel to an audience (e.g., one or more end users who view, listen to, or otherwise experience a character through an electronic channel). An entity may bid on altering that character's personality and/or other attribute. If the entity's bid is selected by the system (e.g., over other bids that also compete to alter one or more attributes of that character), the system customizes the character's personality and/or other attribute according to the winning bid's customization, and presents the customized character via the electronic channel to the audience.

Abstract: A method may include receiving, by a wireless device, parameters indicating: a first number indicating a quantity of physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitor occasions (MOs), per synchronization signal block (SSB) of SSBs, in a paging occasion; a first location of a starting PDCCH MO of PDCCH MOs of a paging early indication (PEI) occasion; and a second location of a starting PDCCH MO of PDCCH MOs of the paging occasion. The method may also include monitoring, starting from the first location and over a second number of the PDCCH MOs of the PEI occasion, a first PDCCH. The method may further include receiving, by the wireless device, a PEI based on the monitoring the first PDCCH and monitoring, in response to the PEI, starting from the second location and over the second number of the PDCCH MOs of the paging occasion, a second PDCCH.

Abstract: Systems and methods for cooling an electric motor in an electric drive unit are provided. In one example, the electric motor includes a stator and an inverter power module positioned within a motor housing. The inverter power module forms an interface with a peripheral surface of an outer section of stator laminations of the stator, and the stator laminations include a plurality of cutouts forming axially extending oil ducts.

Abstract: A system and method for food traceability from a food service location to the consumer is disclosed. The method comprises marking food items with a received label as the food items are received. This received label identifies a storage location for the food item and generates traceability information for the food item. If the food item is not intended for storage, then the food item is transferred to a prep table and unique item information is generated for the food item. The food item can then be prepped for usage. During the prepping process, the food item's expiration date is verified, and a serial number is generated, and a use by date is calculated. If the prepped food item is to be served to a consumer, a label is generated with traceability information, and unneeded ingredients are re-purposed or properly disposed of.

Abstract: An example reduced-coverage back-smoothing brassiere includes a right and left brassiere cup, right and left brassiere wings, each coupled to at least a portion of one of the two brassiere cups and one of two brassiere straps, first edges of the brassiere wings each being a continuous curve leading to the exterior edge of the respective brassiere wing, the second portion of the right brassiere strap being coupled to the right brassiere cup and the second portion of the left brassiere strap being coupled to the left brassiere cup, a second edge of each of the brassiere wings extending in an unbroken curve from the respective brassiere strap toward the fastening section, a continuous, unbroken curve being created by the interior edge of each of the two brassiere straps along the second edge of each of the two brassiere wings, respectively.

Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. In one example, a golf club head includes a face portion and a body portion having an interior cavity. The face portion includes a front surface, a back surface, a face center portion, and a back groove portion on the back surface. The back groove portion at least partially surrounds the face center portion. A mass portion located on the toe side of the body portion is coupled to the body portion and includes a material having a greater density than a material of the body portion. A port on the body portion is connected to the interior cavity. A filler material is in the interior cavity and is injected into the interior cavity from the port. Abstract: The invention relates to the supplemental generation of energy from operation of a train, and specifically to the generation of energy in connection to the rotation of disc brake rotors in combination with generators. Rotation of the disc brake rotors creates rotational energy that is transmitted to the generators, which then transmits the energy to a series of batteries for storage. The batteries may be stored in the platform for the train and/or within the train car itself. Energy from the batteries may be utilized by removal of the batteries from the train or through a number of outlets, sockets or connectors associated with the train car or platform.

Abstract: A device performs a method for using image data to aid voice recognition. The method includes the device capturing image data of a vicinity of the device and adjusting, based on the image data, a set of parameters for voice recognition performed by the device. The set of parameters for the device performing voice recognition include, but are not limited to: a trigger threshold of a trigger for voice recognition; a set of beamforming parameters; a database for voice recognition; and/or an algorithm for voice recognition. The algorithm may include using noise suppression or using acoustic beamforming.

Abstract: Control of an amplitude of a signal applied to rods of a quadrupole is described. In one aspect, a mass spectrometer includes an amplifier circuit that causes a radio frequency (RF) signal to be applied to the rods of the quadrupole. A controller circuit can determine that the actual amplitude of the RF signal differs than the expected amplitude and, in response, identify current and past environmental and performance parameters to adjust the amplitude.

Abstract: A polyoxymethylene polymer composition is disclosed containing a formaldehyde stabilizer package. The formaldehyde stabilizer package, which contains at least two emission control agents, dramatically and unexpectedly reduces formaldehyde emissions. The formaldehyde stabilizer package includes at least two emission control agents selected from the group of benzoguanamine compounds, a hydantoin, a substituted hydantoin, an amino acid, and an alkylene urea such as ethylene urea.

Abstract: Provided herein are bolt carriers, firearms, and related methods, devices, and assemblies. A bolt carrier for a firearm of an example embodiment includes a cam slot configured to receive a cam pin of a bolt, the cam slot defining a cam path along which the cam pin is configured to travel, the cam path comprising a locked dwell, an unlocked dwell, and a transition section disposed between the locked dwell and the unlocked dwell, wherein the locked dwell defines a portion parallel to a first axis of the bolt carrier that is greater than 0.070 inches long.

Abstract: A battery system for an electric vehicle includes a fixed cover, and a removable cover arranged over battery modules and a high voltage distribution system. The battery system includes a busbar arranged at least partially over a region of the battery modules and under the removable cover. The busbar includes a fixed section and a movable section, or a hinge, such that the busbar can be repositioned out of the way. The support tray includes a link between the fixed and movable sections. Floating fasteners, allowing at least one of radial float and axial float are used to secure the link to the support tray, thereby avoiding safety hazards and reducing the potential for short circuits in high voltage distribution systems or conductors thereof. The floating fasteners include a head, a neck, an engagement section, and a washer, which prevent removal from a component once installed.

Abstract: Media, method and system for scheduling trips, and particularly for scheduling trip to transport vehicles from a pick-up location to a drop-off location. To accomplish this, interfaces are provided for describing the desired starting and ending locations for vehicles and automatically allocating drivers to vehicles for each segment of a desired trip and assigning any necessary tasks to the drivers to complete for each waypoint of the trip. Additionally, any other requirements for transporting the vehicles, such as insurance and temporary license plates, can automatically be provided for.

Abstract: A query is converted into a structured query tokenization. One or more query results visualizations for the query are determined by applying a supervised machine learning model to the structured query tokenization into which the query has been converted. Query results of the query are displayed using the determined query results visualizations.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate to controlling a vehicle having an autonomous driving mode or an autonomous vehicle. For instance, a polygon representative of the shape and location of a first object may be received. A polyline contour representation of a portion of a polygon representative of the shape and location of a second object may be received. The polyline contour representation may be in half-plane coordinates and including a plurality of vertices and line segments. Coordinates of the polygon representative of the first object may be converted to the half-plane coordinate system. A collision location between the polyline contour representation and the polygon representative of the first object may be determined using the converted coordinates. The autonomous vehicle may be controlled in the autonomous driving mode to avoid a collision based on the collision location.

Abstract: A speaker verification method includes receiving audio data corresponding to an utterance, processing a first portion of the audio data that characterizes a predetermined hotword to generate a text-dependent evaluation vector, and generating one or more text-dependent confidence scores. When one of the text-dependent confidence scores satisfies a threshold, the operations include identifying a speaker of the utterance as a respective enrolled user associated with the text-dependent confidence score that satisfies the threshold and initiating performance of an action without performing speaker verification. When none of the text-dependent confidence scores satisfy the threshold, the operations include processing a second portion of the audio data that characterizes a query to generate a text-independent evaluation vector, generating one or more text-independent confidence scores, and determining whether the identity of the speaker of the utterance includes any of the enrolled users.

Abstract: Configuration information that identifies a plurality of components that define a network is received. Based on the configuration information, a plurality of virtual network function (VNF) instances are caused to be generated on a plurality of general-purpose computing devices to implement the network on the plurality of general-purpose computing devices, each VNF instance corresponding to one of the plurality of components. Based on the configuration information, at least some of the VNF instances of the plurality of VNF instances are configured. Testing data and testing criteria are obtained. The testing data is submitted to the network, and network test results based on the testing data and the testing criteria are output.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to folder-based data organization method and system. The method may include obtaining a keyword hierarchy for a plurality of documents. The keyword hierarchy may be configured for organizing the plurality of documents and include a plurality of levels for the keyword hierarchy. The method may further include generating a folder directory in a data storage system based on the keyword hierarchy. A folder hierarchy of the folder directory reflects at least a portion of the keyword hierarchy and folders in the folder hierarchy are named based on corresponding keywords in the at least a portion of the keyword hierarchy. The method may further include determining a target folder for storing one of the documents in the folder directory based on the keyword hierarchy path associated with the document and storing the document to the target folder in the folder directory.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques might provide for implementing Internet of Things (“IoT”) functionality, and, in particular embodiments, implementing added services for OBD2 connection for IoT-capable vehicles. In various embodiments, a portable device (when connected to an OBD2 DLC port of a vehicle) might monitor wireless communications between a vehicle computing system(s) and an external device(s), might monitor vehicle sensor data from vehicular sensors tracking operational conditions of the vehicle, and might monitor operator input sensor data from operator input sensors tracking input by a vehicle operator. The portable device (or a server) might analyze either the monitored wireless communications or a combination of the monitored vehicle sensor data and the monitored operator input sensor data, to determine whether vehicle operation has been compromised.
