Abstract: The present invention provides unique pressure actuated valves and related methods that may be used in applications where a plurality of fluid emission devices are provided on a plurality of lines containing fluid under pressure, in order to prevent fluid from escaping from the fluid emission devices until a consistent threshold or predetermined level of fluid pressure is obtained in the lines, without causing significant water pressure and/or flow loss through the valves. Valves of the present invention include a housing having an upper body and a lower body that may be coupled together to form an inner chamber, the lower body having an inlet in communication with a source of fluid under pressure, the upper body having an outlet in communication with a fluid emission device. A hollow movable fluid transmission piston is provided in the chamber for communicating between the inlet and outlet.
Abstract: Methods and apparatus for optimizing antenna beam and performance within a wireless system. In one embodiment, the methods and apparatus utilize so-called “quasi-licensed” CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) wireless spectrum in conjunction with a controller that dynamically adjusts antenna direction, orientation and receive/transmit beam for receiving/transmitting the information at an installed fixed wireless apparatus (FWA) at user or subscriber premises. In one variant, the FWA includes controller logic that tracks Radio Frequency (RF) propagation parameters and optimizes antenna azimuth and tilt to maximize the antenna gain towards a serving base station. As such, service calls by operator personnel to optimize antenna performance are not required, thereby reducing network operating expenses. Moreover, increased customer density at a prescribed service level is achieved through more precise coordination and mitigation of interference between nearby FWA devices and their serving base stations.
Abstract: Processes and systems for the recovery of solvents from a feedstock are provided, as well as processes and systems for the recovery of target botanical compounds. The processes and systems include a heated mixing device, in which a feedstock can be simultaneously mixed and heated to vaporize and release a solvent or botanical compound from the feedstock. The vaporized solvent or botanical compound can be condensed and collected as recovered solvent or a recovered botanical compound.
Abstract: A system in a vehicle includes two or more smart battery packs to power drive units of the vehicle to move the vehicle. Each of the two or more smart battery packs includes a battery pack, and a battery management system (BMS) to monitor a state of charge of the battery pack. An energy distribution unit facilitates charge transfer among the two or more smart battery packs.

Abstract: In some aspects, a heterogeneous computing system includes a quantum processor unit and a classical processor unit. In some instances, variables defined by a computer program are stored in a classical memory in the heterogeneous computing system. The computer program is executed in the heterogeneous computing system by operation of the quantum processor unit and the classical processor unit. Instructions are generated for the quantum processor by a host processor unit based on values of the variables stored in the classical memory. The instructions are configured to cause the quantum processor unit to perform a data processing task defined by the computer program. The values of the variables are updated in the classical memory based on output values generated by the quantum processor unit. The classical processor unit processes the updated values of the variables.

Abstract: Novel tools and techniques are provided for implementing fraud or distributed denial of service (“DDoS”) protection for session initiation protocol (“SIP”)-based communication. In various embodiments, a computing system may receive, from a first router, first SIP data indicating a request to initiate a SIP-based media communication session between a calling party at a source address and a called party at a destination address. The computing system may analyze the received first SIP data to determine whether the received first SIP data comprises any abnormalities indicative of potential fraudulent or malicious actions. If so, the computing system may reroute the first SIP data to a security deep packet inspection (“DPI”) engine, which may perform a deep scan of the received first SIP data to identify any known fraudulent or malicious attack vectors contained within the received first SIP data. If so, the security DPI engine may initiate mitigation actions.

Abstract: Systems and methods are disclosed for providing a summary of suggested changes made to an electronic document. A suggested change is iteratively selected from a first list of suggested changes. A second list of modified suggested changes is generated by processing each selected suggested change in the first list of suggested changes. The processing comprises marking the selected suggested change for including or excluding the summary. If the selected suggested change is marked for including the summary, the processing further comprises at least one of combining the selected suggested change with a previously processed suggested change to form one of the modified suggested changes for including in the second list, and truncating the selected suggested change to form one of the modified suggested changes for including in the second list. The second list of modified suggested changes is provided as the summary of suggested changes.

Abstract: Described herein is electromagnetic shielding that is configured to attenuate electromagnetic interference (EMI) by at least a threshold amount when the EMI has a frequency within a predefined frequency range. The electromagnetic shielding includes a layer of metal, such as aluminum foil, and a layer of thermoplastic polymer fabric (such as woven polyethylene fabric), where the electromagnetic shielding has several apertures that extend therethrough. The electromagnetic shielding is at least partially draped over electronic equipment that is to be shielded from EMI.
