Abstract: An assembly may be provided that includes a controller configured to be coupled with at least one blower drive that operates a blower motor to cool resistive elements that dissipate electrical power as heat. The controller may be configured to determine whether the electrical power is no longer received by the resistive elements and operate the at least one blower drive to operate the blower motor to cool the resistive elements responsive to the electrical power no longer being received by the resistive elements.

Abstract: A channel graphical user interface (GUI) of a content sharing platform is provided for presentation to a channel owner. A request is received, via the channel GUI, to enable an online community option that (i) facilitates an online conversation between the channel owner and a subset of viewers of the channel of the channel owner on the content sharing platform, and (ii) allows the channel owner to control viewer responses that are permitted during the online conversation. In response to the request of the channel owner to enable the online community option, the online community option is associated with the channel in a data store, and the channel GUI is modified, the modified channel GUI presenting an online community GUI element representing the online community option.

Abstract: The subject matter described in this specification is directed to systems and methods for dissipating heat from sensors supporting autonomous vehicle systems. In particular, the specification describes how a housing, enclosing a sensor mounted to an exterior of a vehicle, can include heat dissipation components such as cooling fins across which conditioned cabin air and/or ambient air can be driven to convectively dissipate heat generated by the sensor.

Abstract: There is provided a method for establishing a connection between a Neutral Host (NH) network and one or more virtual radio access networks (vRANs), under a service level agreement (SLA) therebetween. The method comprises: sending a message to the one or more vRANs, the message including an identity of the NH network and at least a first radio parameter; in response to the message, receiving an identity of the one or more vRANs and at least a second radio parameter; and establishing the connection between the NH network and the one or more vRANs, based on the identity of the one or more vRANs, the identity of the NH network and one of the at least first radio parameter and the at least second radio parameter. The method is implemented in a network node, such as a Distributed Unit of a gNB.
Abstract: A stocking application device that facilitates an application of a stocking over a limb of a person. The stocking application device may include a first body portion at a proximate end of the stocking application device. The stocking application device may further include a second body portion attached to the first body portion. The second body portion may include a plurality of U-shaped fingers. Each of the plurality of U-shaped fingers may include a horizontal portion and a pair of vertical portions. Each vertical portion of the pair of vertical portions may include a flared end. The horizontal portions of the plurality of U-shaped fingers may be disposed one over another and attached to the first body portion. Specifically, the horizontal portions may be disposed at a predetermined angle such that vertical portions of the plurality of U-shaped fingers are equally spaced from each other.
Abstract: Embodiments provide a VTOL aircraft including a plurality of tilting propeller assemblies each coupled to a support structure and configured to transition between a vertical flight and a forward flight position. Each tilting propeller assembly comprising a propeller and a movable fairing provided downstream of the propeller. The movable fairing is configured to extend along an axis of rotation of the propeller. When the tilting propeller assembly transitions between the vertical and forward flight position, the movable fairing is configured to swivel to extend parallel to the direction of resultant airflow over the tilting propeller assembly into a minimum drag orientation. The movable fairing is damped enough to prevent any oscillations from the propeller wake shedding, and at the same time, keep the propeller aligned in a minimum-drag orientation with the resultant flow.
Abstract: A shelter system is shown and described. A hub for a shelter system is shown and described. A frame for a shelter system is shown and described. In one embodiment, the shelter system includes a frame and cover. The shelter may include a hub system. The frame may be collapsible. The cover is configured to fit with the frame. The hub may include a receiver slot, a receiver sleeve and an attachment projection. The result is a shelter system with reduced set up time, effort and requirements and improved strength and ease of use. The inventions may also be considered a shelter kit and/or a shelter and hub method.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to vaporizing devices and components of vaporizing devices, such as mouthpiece locking structures. In various aspects, a locking structure for a mouthpiece includes a circular body extending between a proximal end and a distal end, where an interior surface of the body defines a central lumen. The locking structures may also include a clamp disposed within the central lumen, where the clamp has an angled wall extending inwardly from a rim of the interior surface of the body towards the central lumen. The clamp may additionally include a notch within the angled wall, with the angled wall of the clamp (i) encircling a substantial entirety of a circumference of the body, (ii) defining a clamp lumen, (iii) having a thickness ranging from about 0.5 mm to about 0.7 mm, and (iv) having an angle or bias of from about 100° to about 110°.
Abstract: A fuel injector includes a forward end wall and an aft end wall. The fuel injector further includes side walls that extend between the forward end wall and the aft end wall. The forward end wall, the aft end wall, and the side walls collectively define an opening for passage of air. At least one fuel injection member is disposed within the opening and extends between the end walls. A fuel circuit is defined within the fuel injector. The fuel circuit includes an inlet plenum defined within the forward end wall of the fuel injector. The fuel circuit further includes a fuel passage that extends from, and is in fluid communication with, the inlet plenum. The fuel passage is defined within the at least one fuel injection member. The fuel passage has a cross-sectional area that varies along a length of the fuel injection member.

Abstract: A high-voltage switch, whose operation leverages the speed of electrons to generate the “on” time of the pulse in combination with the speed of light to generate the “off” time of the pulse, is described. In one example, the high-voltage switch includes a first electrode, a second electrode spaced apart from the first electrode, a region of non-absorbing material occupying a portion of the space between the first and second electrodes and allowing a laser pulse to propagate therethrough without substantial absorption, and a region of absorbing material occupying another portion of the space and producing a charged particle cloud upon receiving the laser pulse. The high-voltage switch remains “on” upon the charged particle cloud reaching an electrode and until it has been collected by the electrode, and where the high-voltage switch remains “off” subsequent to the collection and until another generated charged particle cloud reaches the electrode.

Abstract: In User Equipment (UE) at various geographic locations, circuitry exchanges TCP packets with radios, and the radios wirelessly exchange the TCP packets with wireless communication nodes. The circuitry determines TCP retransmission rates for the radios at the geographic locations. The circuitry estimates TCP retransmission rates for the radios at a new geographic location based on the TCP retransmission rates for the radios at the past geographic locations. The circuitry selects one of the radios based on the estimated TCP retransmission rates at the new geographic location. At the new geographic location, the circuitry exchanges new TCP packets with the selected one of the radios, and the selected one of the radios wirelessly exchanges the new TCP packets with one of the wireless communication nodes.

Abstract: Provided is a device for determining the live/dead bacterial state, with which it is possible to ascertain the accurate state of live bacteria/dead bacteria via a captured image in a relatively easy operation with which ascertaining the state of a bacterial cell is more accurate than conventional methods. This device for determining the live/dead bacterial state comprises: a case body in which a measurement mechanism is housed; an opening/closing lid body that allows a fungus base insertion port formed in the case body to be opened and closed; and the measurement mechanism, which is housed in the case body and is configured to measure the number of bacteria.
Abstract: A movable barrier operator comprising a motor, communication circuitry configured to receive a control signal and communicate with a door lock associated with a passageway door, and a controller. The controller is configured to authenticate the control signal, wherein authenticating the control signal includes associating the signal with a first level of access or a second level of access. The controller is further configured to communicate with the door lock via the communication circuitry to permit opening of the passageway door in response to associating the control signal with the first level of access and inhibit opening of the passageway door in response to associating the control signal with the second level of access. The controller is configured to cause the motor to open the movable barrier regardless of association of the control signal with the first level of access or the second level of access.
