Abstract: In an example, a semiconductor device includes an active trench region and an intersecting trench. The active region includes an active shield electrode and the intersecting trench includes an intersecting shield electrode. A coupling trench region connects the active trench region to the intersecting trench region. The coupling trench region includes a coupling shield electrode. The coupling shield electrode and the intersecting shield electrode are provided proximate to a termination mesa region. One or more of the coupling shield electrode or the intersecting shield electrode is thinner than the active shield electrode. The thinner shield electrode reduces depletion in the termination mesa region to improve, among other things, breakdown voltage performance.

Abstract: Methods and systems are disclosed herein for cryptographically secured transfer of an item. In some embodiments, the system may cause generation of multiple key shares of a private key from which a blockchain address on a blockchain is derived. The system may generate a cryptographic representation of a physical item to be transferred from the first user to the second user, the physical item corresponding to the first item. The system may cause a first amount of the first item to be transferred to the blockchain address. The system may obtain a candidate cryptographic representation from the second user. The system may generate, based on the candidate hash matching the hash of the feature vector representing the physical item, a signed message using a partial signature of the second user and another partial signature derived from the third key share.

Abstract: Compositions and methods are provided for genome modification of a target sequence in the genome of a plant or plant cell, without incorporating a selectable transgene marker. The methods and compositions employ a guide polynucleotide/Cas endonuclease system to provide an effective system for modifying or altering target sites within the genome of a plant, plant cell or seed, without incorporating a selectable transgene marker. Once a genomic target site is identified, a variety of methods can be employed to further modify the target sites such that they contain a variety of polynucleotides of interest. Breeding methods and methods for selecting plants utilizing a guide polynucleotide/Cas endonuclease system are also disclosed. Compositions and methods are also provided for editing a nucleotide sequence in the genome of a cell, without incorporating a selectable transgene marker.

Abstract: The disclosure relates to formulations and methods for the in vitro testing of ocular irritants. It was discovered that adding an antioxidant formulation to in vitro ocular irritation tests, including for example, a biochemical ocular irritation test, a reconstituted human corneal epithelium (RhCE) ocular irritation test and an excised eye depth of injury (DoI) test, substantially reduces the rate of false positives without diminishing test sensitivity, resulting in more accurately predicting ocular irritancy of test substances. More particularly, the disclosed method employs relatively high physiologic concentrations of one or more antioxidants that are normally present in tears. In a variation, much higher concentrations of one or more antioxidants may provide protection against in vivo exposure to ocular irritants.
