Abstract: A method of authenticating a user of a multifunction device to a server, the method comprising associating a user-supplied image with user login credentials, using a server; receiving, at the server, an image uploaded from the multifunction device; and comparing the uploaded image to the user-supplied image, using the server, and, only if the uploaded image matches the user-supplied image, allowing the user of the multifunction device to authenticate to the server by providing additional login credentials to the server using the multifunction device.

Abstract: An electronic cooling system is disclosed. The system includes a plurality of cooling plates to extract heat from their respective heat sources. The system further includes one or more vapor separators for extracting vapor from the liquid, with each vapor separator to receive mixed phase liquid and separate the mixed phase liquid into vapor and cooling liquid. The system further includes a return unit to receive the vapors from the vapor separators through one or more vapor loops, and dissipate the received vapors to an external cooling loop. The cooling plates include a first cooling plate that receives liquid phase cooling liquid to extract heat from a first heat source and produces first mixed phase liquid. The cooling plates further include a second cooling plate that uses cooling liquid from a vapor separator to extract heat from a second heat source, produces second mixed phase liquid, and supplies the second mixed phase liquid to the return unit.

Abstract: A computing system retrieves historical event data for a plurality of games in a league. The historical event data includes (x,y) coordinates of players within each game and game context data. The computing system learns one or more attributes of each team in each game and each player on each team in each game. The computing system receives a request to simulate a play in a historical game. The request includes substituting a player that was in the play with a target player that was not in the play. The computing system simulates the play with the target player in place of the player based on the one or more attributes learned by the computing system. The computing system generates a graphical representation of the simulation.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided herein for producing and vending ice in an energy-efficient manner. A system for producing and vending ice comprises: an ice-making device configured to manufacture ice; a reservoir coupled to the ice-making device and configured to store the manufactured ice manufactured; and a control circuit communicatively coupled to the ice-making device, the control circuit configured to: determine a beginning ice inventory at a first time; determine a predicted ice demand for a first period, wherein the predicted ice demand is a function of at least a historical factor, a weather factor, a customer social event factor, and a public social event factor; determine an ice manufacturing quantity based on the beginning ice inventory, the predicted ice demand, and a manufacturing capacity of the ice-making device; and cause the ice-making device to produce an amount of ice consistent with the determined ice manufacturing quantity.

Abstract: A computer system is configured to manage a value of a variable via firmware. Managing the value of the variable includes detecting a system management interrupt (SMI), causing the computer system to enter a system management mode, in which a request associated with the SMI is handled by the firmware. In response to determining that the SMI is generated by a baseboard management controller (BMC) and that a cause thereof is associated with reading or writing a value of a variable, one or more parameters associated with the variable are obtained from the BMC. Based on the cause of the request and the one or more parameters, the value of the variable is read or overwritten with a new value. The value or the new value is then sent to the BMC, which in turn passes the value or new value to a second computer system over a network.

Abstract: Aspects of the present disclosure involve systems and methods for a service activation system in a telecommunications network that utilizes one or more generic container files for building the configuration file to instantiate the service on the network. A request for service from a network may be received from an order entry system that includes specific information about the requested service. A collection of generic configuration files may be selected based on the information included in the service order and arranged to build a configuration file to be executed on the network. The service activation system may also include a component or group of components to verify a received service order and alter the service order with default information or data where applicable. The configuration file may also be executed on the network through one or more drivers communicating with the affected devices to configure the one or more network devices.

Abstract: Aspects are provided for positive displacement pumps and methods and systems for controlling such pumps for dispensing at a flow rate based on a downstream flow sensor. A pump controller determines a targeted motor speed for a flow rate set point based on a flow rate function. The pump controller determines a predicted movement time for a motor of the pump to change from a current motor speed to the targeted motor speed, a predicted wait time to reach a flow rate corresponding to the targeted motor speed, and a measurement time after the wait time. The pump controller controls the positive displacement pump according to consecutive control cycles, each control cycle includes a pump movement sub-cycle, a wait sub-cycle, and a measurement sub-cycle. The pump controller determines a measured flow rate during the measurement sub-cycle. A subsequent control cycle is based on the measured flow rate.

Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to providing selectable autofill suggestions, which correspond to application actions that are at least partially fulfilled using server command data—prior to a user selecting a particular selectable autofill suggestion. Proactively fulfilling command data in this way mitigates latency between user selection of a suggestion and fulfillment of a particular action. Initially, a partial input can be processed to generate autofill suggestions, which can be communicated to a server device for further processing. The autofill suggestions can also be rendered for selection at a touch display interface, thereby allowing a user to select one of the autofill suggestions. Abstract: A breakaway mitigation system is provided for addressing breakaway between a tractor and a trailer unit of a truck. The breakaway mitigation system can include a spool assembly, a sensor, and a controller. The spool assembly has a spool body configured to deploy a length of a tether coupled with the spool body and configured to couple with an energy source supply conduit and to retract the length of the tether. The energy source supply conduit is configured to convey a source of energy for use by a motor or by a fuel cell. The sensor is configured to detect the length of the tether that has been deployed. The controller is configured to receive an input corresponding to the detected length and to implement a countermeasure when the detected amount exceeds a threshold value. Mitigation can be provided by a coupler that decouples under a load over a threshold.

Abstract: ‘BB14-112PT-2’, is another genotype selected in a tropical environment of Peru. ‘BB14-112PT-2’ does not require chill-hours for either budbreak or fruit production. The fruit of ‘BB14-112PT-2’ is large to extra-large size berry, with medium blue color, good fruit firmness texture. Leaves are large and shoots has short internodes. The eating quality of ‘BB14-112PT-2’ is very good and superior to many of the varieties currently grown in Peru, with a sugar/acid balance of 12 to 15. Time of fruit production in ‘BB14-112PT-2’ can be regulated by the pruning date and environment conditions.
