Abstract: A wireless device (e.g., a cell phone) having a first SIM card for a first (e.g., private) wireless network and a second SIM card for a second (e.g., public) wireless network. The wireless device disables searching for the first wireless network if its current location is outside of a defined coverage region for the first wireless network, thereby saving battery power. The defined coverage region may be defined by minimum and maximum longitude and latitude values that superscribe the overall coverage area of the first wireless network. The network server for the first wireless network transmits a definition of a defined coverage region for the wireless network and automatically updates the defined coverage region when the overall coverage area of the first wireless network is modified, such as when a new access point is added to the network.

Abstract: A wireless device comprising switches to a first downlink bandwidth part (BWP) as an active BWP during a discontinuous reception (DRX) active time. The wireless device, in response to switching to the first downlink BWP, starts a BWP inactivity timer of the first downlink BWP. The wireless device transmits a packet via a transmission interval of periodic resources indicated by a configured grant. The wireless device restarts the BWP inactivity timer at a time based on the transmission interval. The wireless device, in response to an expiration of the BWP inactivity timer, switches to a second downlink BWP as the active BWP during the DRX active time. The wireless device receives a DCI via a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) of the second downlink BWP.

Abstract: Methods and systems are described herein for determining auxiliary parameters within datasets, the auxiliary parameters being used to segregate the datasets such that anomaly detection may be performed on the segregated datasets. Based on anomaly detection, alert conditions may then be identified. In particular, a system may, using a machine learning model, determine for a particular target feature (e.g., a parameter being monitored) one or more auxiliary features (other parameters) that effect the values of that parameter and transmit the target feature and the auxiliary features in a message to a monitoring system indicating which features to monitor. The collected data may then be received by the system and transformed into a timeseries dataset, which may then be used to detect anomalies within the data and thereby identify any anomalous points.

Abstract: Engineered, pseudo-crystalline materials are formed of repeating arrays or lattices of similar basic elements. The materials are porous, so that a gas such as air can pass through the material. Audio waves propagating through the gas can also pass through the material, and these waves experience a passive, uneven, frequency-dependent modification as a result of passing through the material. The frequency response of this modification can be tuned by selecting the shape, size, and repetition patterns of the basic elements in the lattice, as well as the ingredients from which the pseudo-crystalline materials are made.

Abstract: A computer-implemented technique is described herein for assisting a user in advancing a task objective. The technique uses a suggestion-generating system (SGS) to provide one or more suggestions to a user in response to at least a last-submitted query provided by the user. The SGS may correspond to a classification-type or generative-type neural network. The SGS uses a machine-trained model that is trained using a multi-task training framework based on plural groups of training examples, which, in turn, are produced using different respective example-generating methods. One such example-generating method constructs a training example from queries in a search session. It operates by identifying the task-related intent the queries, and then identifying at least one sequence of queries in the search session that exhibits a coherent task-related intent. A training example is constructed based on queries in such a sequence.

Abstract: A battery charging system includes a charger that is dynamically controlled during charging, including during rapid charging events that include elevated voltage and/or elevated current levels. The charger is connectable to a battery cell of a rechargeable energy storage system. Operation includes transferring electric power having a charging current at a maximum charging rate to the battery cell. An anode potential offset setpoint is determined. A predicted anode potential offset is determined at an interface between the anode and the separator based upon the cell voltage for the battery cell. The charger is controlled to transfer the electric power to the battery cell based upon a temperature distribution in the battery cell and a difference between the anode potential offset setpoint and the predicted anode potential offset.

Abstract: In one embodiment of the present invention, a collaboration engine is configured to display shared digital assets consistently across displays. The collaboration engine receives container metadata generated based on a first location and first size of a digital asset within a first scaled workspace displayed on a first display. In response, the collaboration engine computes a second location and second size of the digital asset based on the container metadata and the size of a second scaled workspace. Finally, the collaboration engine configures the second device to display the digital asset within the second scaled workspace based on the second location and the second size. Notably, the container metadata correlates to the appearance of the digital asset on the first display, and the appearance of the digital asset on the second display correlates to the container metadata. Consequently, the appearance of the digital asset is consistent across the displays.
