Abstract: Devices, systems and methods for surgical treatment of mid-foot disorders such as osteoarthritis, spacing disorders, or alignment disorders, including mid-foot arthroplasty devices and systems for the 2nd and 3rd tarsometatarsal (TMT) joint, implants for post-osteotomy spacing and realignment, arthroplasty articular implants, dowel grafts for TMT arthrodesis or fusion, dowel grafts for navicular cuneiform (NC) arthrodesis, dowel grafts for intercuneiform arthrodesis, and/or locking dowels for joint fusion.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are methods and tools for customizing shower panels to accommodate a variety of shapes and sizes of shower bases, where such methods and tools reduce installation steps. One exemplary method includes steps of using tools to trim a back shower panel, a first side shower panel, and a second side shower panel to conform to the contours of the top edges of a shower base. An exemplary assembly of tools used to perform described methods includes a plurality of contour gauge tools and a drain center groove. Each contour gauge tool includes a contoured edge, a slot formed through the contour gauge tool, and indicia formed on a surface of the contour gauge tool. The drain center tool includes a first groove, second groove intersecting the first groove and perpendicular to the first groove, and a tab extending upward of the top surface of the drain center tool.

Abstract: Methods, formulations, and uses of a prophylactic nasal spray are provided. Many embodiments include nasal spray formulations including an microbicidal (e.g., virucidal) agent. Various embodiments include iodine, such as povidone iodine (PVP-I) as the microbicidal agent. Additional embodiments include methods to prophylactically treat an individual to prevent, mitigate, or otherwise limit a microbial infection.

Abstract: A method may include determining a first dry mass flow rate of a wet paper material stream based on a first amount of contaminants, a first moisture content, and a first wet mass flow rate of the wet paper material stream, determining a second dry mass flow rate of a wet plastic material stream based on a second amount of contaminants, a second moisture content, and a second wet mass flow rate of the wet plastic material stream, calculating, using the first dry mass flow rate and the second dry mass flow rate, a paper/plastic ratio of a combined stream of the paper material stream and the plastic material stream, and adjusting, a flow rate of paper into the paper material stream and a flow rate of plastic into the plastic material stream such that the calculated paper/plastic ratio of the combined stream equals a target paper/plastic ratio.

Abstract: An underframe for a height adjuster of a seat, in particular a vehicle seat, may have a base frame which is connectable to a vehicle floor, a seat frame which is adjustable relative to the base frame and has at least one frame part, and a spindle drive unit for adjusting the seat frame relative to the base frame. The spindle drive unit has a first bearing point, which is connected pivotably to the frame part, and a second bearing point, which is connected pivotably to the base frame. A height adjuster for the vehicle seat is also provided.

Abstract: A surgical device includes a pair of jaws for manipulating tissue disposed therebetween; a housing and a hemostat style gripping mechanism; an elongated shaft positioned between the housing and the pair of jaws and defining a longitudinal axis; and a pull tube at least partially disposed within the elongated shaft. The hemostat style gripping mechanism comprises a linkage system configured to move the jaws between an open position and an approximated position, the linkage system comprises a first shank having distal end rotatably coupled to the housing at a first fixed pivot point and a proximal end coupled to a first finger grip, a second shank having a distal end rotatably coupled to the housing at a second fixed pivot point and a proximal end coupled to a second finger grip, and a slider link operatively coupled to the first shank and the second shank.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to refining context aware policies in extended reality systems. In one aspect, an extended reality system is provided that performs operations including: accessing data collected from user interactions while using a context aware policy in an extended reality environment, determining a support set and confidence score for the context aware policy based on the data, generating replacement policies for the context aware policy, determining a support set and confidence score for each of the replacement policies based on the data, identifying a replacement policy from the replacement policies as a replacement for the context aware policy based on the support sets and confidence scores, and updating one or more conditions or an action defined by the context aware policy with a modified version of the one or more conditions or the action defined by the replacement policy to generate an updated context aware policy.

Abstract: A windshield mount for a personal electronic device has a first support plate that pivots relative to a base and a second support plate that stays in the same plane but slides to fit the width of the device. Using one hand, the user pinches opposed finger tabs to snap the mount to an open configuration. To install the device in the mount after it has been affixed to a vehicle windshield, the user need use only one hand to press the back of the device against the pivoting support plate, snapping the mount back to a closed configuration.

Abstract: Exemplary embodiments of a system and method for bimodal air control in a kettle-style grill are configured to be detachably mounted to the exterior of a kettle-styled grill such as, but not limited to, a Weber® charcoal grill. When mounted to the kettle-styled grill, a plenum-like component directs air flows to the interior of the grill's kettle via the kettle's lower body damper holes. A manually adjustable intake damper in the plenum component allows, restricts, or prevents a drawn ambient air flow into the plenum component. Separately, a forced air flow generated by a fan may also be provided into the plenum component. Adjustment of the intake damper may also adjust damper blades inside the grill's kettle. Ash that falls out of the kettle's damper holes falls through the plenum component and is captured in an ash receptacle that is removably mounted to the plenum component.

Abstract: In some embodiments, a computing system may monitor authentication input and modify authentication requirements based on detection of user-specific input errors. The computing system may use machine learning or other techniques to detect whether an incorrect authentication input corresponds to a common input mistake of a user. If the incorrect authentication input does correspond to a common input mistake of the user, a computing system may modify one or more authentication requirements to make the authentication process easier for the user.

Abstract: A method for integrated professional network expansion during employee onboarding is implemented via a computing system including a processor. The method includes executing, via a network, an enterprise application on a first remote computing system operated by an employer associated with an enterprise, as well as causing surfacing of a professional networking UI on a display of the first remote computing system during the execution of the enterprise application. The method also includes receiving, via the professional networking UI surfaced on the display of the first remote computing system, user input including a specification of onboarding parameters for an employee of the enterprise, where the onboarding parameters correspond to one or more professional networking intentions for the employee. The method further includes causing the enterprise application to be executed on a second remote computing system operated by the employee in accordance with the specified onboarding parameters.

Abstract: A touch sensor is provided which includes one or more liquid metal wires and detection circuitry to detect a change in an electrical attribute of the one or more liquid metal cavities based on a depression of the one or more liquid metal cavities, and indicate a touch event corresponding to the depression of the one or more liquid metal cavities based on the change in the electrical attribute.

Abstract: A check valve bleed assembly eliminates the requirement for a person to enter the red zone when bleeding the grease out of a gate or other valve. A gas or other fluid is provided to the check valve bleed assembly. The gas or other fluid acts upon the surface driving a pin into the associated check valve with sufficient force to overcome the resistance of the object sitting on a seat and moves the object off of the seat. The force is maintained as long as is necessary. Usually, the check valve is held open until the gate transitions into the gate's associated gate recess thereby displacing the grease within the gate recess through the check valve, into the check valve bleed assembly, and finally to a waste collection tube. In some embodiments a gate valve greasing access port is included in the check valve bleed assembly such that grease may be injected into the check valve bleed assembly.

Abstract: The memory device includes a plurality of memory blocks, each including a plurality of memory cells arranged in a plurality of word lines. Control circuitry is in communication with the plurality of memory blocks. In operation, the control circuitry receives a data write instruction and programs the memory cells of the memory blocks to a one bit per memory cell (SLC) format. In response to the data programmed to the memory cells of the memory blocks in the SLC format reaching an SLC limit prior to completion of the data write instruction, without erasing the memory cells programmed to the SLC format, the control circuitry programs the memory cells of at least some of the plurality of memory blocks from the SLC format to a two bits per memory cell (MLC) format.

Abstract: A vacuum relief valve for a railroad tank car and methods for using the same to test the vacuum relief valve for leaks without requiring removal of the valve from the railroad tank car are described herein. According to one aspect of the invention, a vacuum relief valve described herein may be inspected for leaks without removing the vacuum relief valve from the railroad tank car by using two or more access openings located on the body of the vacuum relief valve. According to another aspect of the invention, a vacuum relief valve described herein may be inspected for leaks without removing the vacuum relief valve from the railroad tank car by using an opening to an interior cavity of the valve body that is revealed by rotating a cover from a closed position to an open position.

Abstract: Various arrangements for establishing a link between two electronic devices are presented herein. A pairing mode may be activated to establish the link. A first electronic wireless device can determine that a distance to a second wireless electronic device meets a distance threshold criterion. In response to the pairing mode being activated and the distance to the second wireless electronic device meeting the distance threshold criterion, a graphic element, such as a glow effect, can be presented indicative of direction and distance to the second wireless electronic device.

Abstract: A crop ramp for a header of an agricultural harvester including a curved plate having an outer surface over which cut crop passes and an inner surface. The crop ramp further includes a roller support extending rearwardly from the curved plate and a roller supported for rotation by the roller support. The roller has an outer circumferential surface configured to be contacted by a fore edge of an upper run of an endless belt draper conveyor in order maintain tracking of the conveyor and eliminate contact between the conveyor and the interior of the crop ramp.

Abstract: An apparatus for deploying a circular device such as a frac ball into a wellbore, and systems and methods for using the same, is provided. In various embodiments, the apparatus can have a magazine that biases the circular device upward, and then an actuator and slidebar move the circular device from the magazine down a chute and into a wellbore. The apparatus can be operated remotely to reduce the risk of harm to a human operator. Other aspects and features of the apparatus are described herein.
