Abstract: An enhanced integration of spreadsheet environments and external environments is disclosed herein that allows users to enter non-native statements directly into the cells of a worksheet so that external resources can be applied with respect to their values. In addition, a security model is disclosed whereby external functions referenced in the cells of a worksheet are executed in the context of a runtime environment that is secured apart from the spreadsheet application that hosts the worksheet. Various enhancements to the user experience are also disclosed that allow users to enter non-native statements in line with respect to the functional syntax that forms the basis of spreadsheet formulas.

Abstract: Embodiments for handling configuration drift in a data storage system having a plurality of storage nodes. A configuration drift manager system defines a golden configuration dataset for the data storage system, obtains a current configuration dataset of each storage node of the plurality of storage nodes, each of the golden and configuration datasets comprising a plurality of sentences defining a node configuration parameter; determines a distance between each sentence of the golden configuration dataset with each other sentence of the current configuration datasets for each of the plurality of storage nodes; ranks each node based on a distance of its sentences with the golden configuration dataset, and triggers an action on a corresponding node based on its respective ranking.

Abstract: A flash controller for managing at least one MLC non-volatile memory module and at least one SLC non-volatile memory module. The flash controller is adapted to determine if a range of addresses listed by an entry and mapped to said at least one MLC nonvolatile memory module fails a data integrity test. In the event of such a failure, the controller remaps said entry to an equivalent range of addresses of said at least one SLC non-volatile memory module. The flash controller is further adapted to determine which of the blocks in the MIX and SLC nonvolatile memory modules are accessed most frequently and allocating those blocks that receive frequent writes to the SLC non-volatile memory module and those blocks that receive infrequent writes to the MLC non-volatile memory module.
Abstract: In one form, a cylindrical lockset includes a chassis including a pair of hubs, a pair of drive tubes, a retractor, and a lock control assembly. The lock control assembly has a locked state and an unlocked state. The lock control assembly also has a plurality of movable elements, each having a locking position and an unlocking position. One of the hubs includes a guide channel, and a slider is movably seated in the guide channel. One of the movable elements is associated with the slider, and is configured to move the slider between a lock-indicating position and an unlock-indicating position.

Abstract: In some embodiments, the present disclosure provides an access controlling network architecture may include: a processor in communication with a non-transitory computer readable medium storing application program instructions that when executed, cause the processor to: generate an expected access control digital key for authenticating a computing device that is operationally linked to access-restricted digital resource for accessing; record the expected access control digital key in a computer memory associated with the access controlling platform; cause to display the expected access control digital key at the computing device; receive a mobile originating communication, having: a particular access control digital key and an identity linked to the computing device; perform a confirmation of the particular access control digital key with the expected access control digital key; transmit, when the confirmation is successful, an access authentication indicator; configured to cause to unlock the at least one acc
Abstract: Display systems, such as near eye display systems or wearable heads up displays, may include a laser projector having an optical switch assembly disposed an at input to an optical scanner of the laser projector. The optical switch assembly includes at least one optical switch, and a controller selectively modifies the orientation of each optical switch to selectively change an angle at which laser light is directed onto a scan mirror of the optical scanner. Changing this angle shifts the scan region over which the scan mirror scans the laser light and, relatedly, shifts a region of a field of view of the display. In some embodiments, the controller is configured to modify the optical switch orientation(s) to correct non-idealities in the angle of the laser light.

Abstract: An electronic apparatus performs a method of real time simulation of physical visual effect on one or more Graphics Processing Units (GPUs). The method includes a plurality of time steps. Each of the time steps includes: building up a mapping between particles and background grid blocks; sorting the particles to a level of granularity; transferring momenta and masses of the particles to grid nodes on the background grid blocks to compute forces on the grid nodes; updating velocities and resolving collisions from the computed forces on the grid nodes; and applying the updated velocities back to the particles from the grid nodes and advecting the particles. In some embodiments, the frequency of building up and sorting is reduced compared with the frequency of transferring, updating, and applying in the plurality of time steps.
