Abstract: Examples are disclosed that relate to pixel-shifting devices for increasing display resolution. An example pixel-shifting device comprises an outer frame, an inner frame coupled to the outer frame via a flexure, a path-shifting optical element mounted to the inner frame, and one or more piezoelectric actuators configured to drive motion of the inner frame.
Abstract: Implementations described and claimed herein provide systems and methods for an optical domain controller for managing and maintaining a record of network component configuration and interconnections. The optical domain controller detects changes in a configuration of optical network elements in response to a requested service from the network, coordinates additional changes in configurations to optical network elements that may be affected by the detected change, communicates with the optical network elements to incorporate the changes to the configurations of the network element, and stores the configurations and states of the network elements. The use of the optical domain controller may thus replace or supplement a database storing network configuration information by automatically managing changes to the network as new services are instantiated directly on the optical network elements.

Abstract: An accessory power system includes an accessory power module having primary power switches, a transformer, and secondary rectifiers. The primary power switches are electrically connected to the high-voltage bus, and the secondary rectifiers are electrically connected to the low-voltage bus. A peak detector is coupled to the high-voltage bus. A controller is in communication with the peak detector circuit, and operatively connected to the primary power switches. The controller dynamically monitors, via the peak detector circuit, a ripple voltage of the high-voltage bus, compares the monitored voltage with a maximum threshold voltage, and disables the plurality of primary power switches when the ripple voltage of the high-voltage bus is greater than the maximum threshold voltage, and reactivates the primary power switches when the ripple voltage of the high-voltage bus is less than the maximum threshold voltage.
Abstract: Embodiments of the present disclosure are directed to systems and methods for managing random access for devices seeking access to dual connectivity. Both master nodes and secondary nodes in dual connectivity have 64 available preambles that can be used for random access. By reserving preambles for devices that are requesting access to dual connectivity, a radio access network can assign random access preambles to said devices, enabling them to use contention free random access to gain access to both a master node and a secondary node. In some aspects random access preambles will only be assigned to devices requesting access to dual connectivity if they have a sufficiently high priority level.

Abstract: A better compromise between encoding complexity and achievable rate distortion ratio, and/or to achieve a better rate distortion ratio is achieved by using multitree sub-divisioning not only in order to subdivide a continuous area, namely the sample array, into leaf regions, but using the intermediate regions also to share coding parameters among the corresponding collocated leaf blocks. By this measure, coding procedures performed in tiles—leaf regions—locally, may be associated with coding parameters individually without having to, however, explicitly transmit the whole coding parameters for each leaf region separately. Rather, similarities may effectively exploited by using the multitree subdivision.

Abstract: An electronic mail (email) system generates an email user interface display, with a timeslot actuator, for composing an email message. Actuation of the timeslot actuator is detected and the email system accesses available timeslots from a calendar system corresponding to the user. User selectable display elements, corresponding to each available timeslot, are displayed on the email user interface display, along with message content. When a user selectable display element corresponding to an available timeslot is selected, the email message content is populated with a selectable timeslot element, corresponding to the available timeslot, that can be sent to recipients in the email message.

Abstract: A technique for managing a storage system involves determining, in response to a first write operation on a first data block on a persistent storage device, whether a first group of data corresponding to the first data block is included in a cache; updating the first group of data in the cache if it is determined that the first group of data is included in the cache; and adding the first group of data to an associated data set of the cache to serve as a first record. Accordingly, such a technique can associatively manage different types of cached data corresponding to a data block, thereby optimizing the system performance.
Abstract: The present disclosure is generally related to a data processing system to detect potential exfiltration of audio data by agent applications can include a data processing system. The data processing system can identify, from an I/O record, an input received from the digital assistant application via a microphone of a client device, an output received from the agent application after the input, and a microphone status for the microphone. The data processing system can determine that the output is terminal based on the input and the output. The data processing system can identify the microphone status as in the enabled state subsequent to the input. The data processing system can determine that the agent application is unauthorized to access audio data acquired via the microphone of the client device based on determining that the output is terminal and identifying the microphone status as enabled.
