Abstract: A sensor system comprises an LED arranged to emit light and to detect a portion of the emitted light that is scattered or reflected back to the LED. A sensing method comprises detecting with an LED light emitted by the LED and scattered or reflected back to the LED and determining a change in voltage-current characteristics of the LED resulting from detection of the scattered or reflected light. The sensor system and the sensing method may be used, for example, to determine properties of particles in a fluid into which the LED emits light or to determine the presence or absence of an object located between the LED and a reflective or scattering surface.

Abstract: A semiconductor device may include a plurality of single-photon avalanche diode (SPAD) pixels. The semiconductor device may be a backside device having a substrate at the backside, dielectric layers on the substrate, metal layers interleaved with the dielectric layers, and a through silicon via (TSV) formed in the backside through the substrate and the dielectric layers. TSV seal rings may be formed around the TSV to protect the semiconductor device from moisture and/or water ingress. The TSV seal rings may be coupled to a high-voltage cathode bond pad and be coupled to offset portions of one of the metal layers to reduce leakage and/or parasitic effects due to the voltage difference between the cathode and the substrate. The TSV seal rings may also be merged with die seal rings at the edge of the substrate.

Abstract: Systems, methods and media are directed to automatically generating a recommendation. Data describing a configuration of a production infrastructure is received, the production infrastructure running the system operating in the production environment. One or more metrics data values indicative of a performance of the system operating in the production environment is retrieved. Expected performance values of the system are received. An augmented decisioning engine compares the metrics data values with the expected performance values. The augmented decisioning engine is trained to provide a recommended configuration of the production infrastructure. Based on the comparing, the augmented decisioning engine is trained to improve subsequent recommendations of configuration of the production infrastructure through a feedback process.

  • Publication number: 20240143666
Abstract: Systems and methods for clustering metrics for reducing a search space of metrics used for service health analyses. Determining a root cause of an event includes performing an automated analysis of metrics associated with the service. To diagnose and resolve events quickly and efficiently, aspects correlate and cluster a plurality of metrics for a specific service based on historical data, where each cluster represents a root cause direction. After clustering metrics by similarity, metrics are scored and ranked to select representative metrics from each cluster, which reduces the dimensionality of the search space. The representative metrics may provide a saliant representation of each metrics cluster. The representative metrics are provided to a service health analyzer, which performs a root cause analysis of the representative metrics to diagnose and mitigate the event.

Abstract: Memory cells of a second sub-block are programmed by pre-charging channels of unselected memory cells connected to the selected word line, boosting the pre-charged channels of unselected memory cells and applying a program voltage to selected non-volatile memory cells connected to the selected word line. The pre-charging includes applying one or more overdrive voltages to word lines connected to memory cells of a first sub-block to provide a conductive path from memory cells of the second sub-block through the first sub-block to a source line and maintaining the word lines connected to memory cells of the first sub-block at one or more overdrive voltages while ramping down signals at the end of the pre-charging. Dummy word lines, positioned between sub-blocks, are maintained at a resting voltage during the boosting in order to cut-off channels of memory cells in the second sub-block from channels of memory cells in the first sub-block.
