Abstract: A transfer segment group task processing module of a database system is operable to send a first begin segment group transfer instruction to a first storage cluster based on a determination to transfer a set of segments stored via the first storage cluster to a second storage cluster. A target first ownership sequence number is received from the first storage cluster. A second begin segment group transfer instruction to the second storage cluster. A transfer complete notification is received from the second storage cluster. A complete storage instruction is sent to the second storage cluster. An updated second ownership sequence number is received from the second storage cluster indicating updating of second data ownership information of the second storage cluster. A commit transfer instruction is sent to the first storage cluster based on updated second ownership sequence number received from the second storage cluster.

Abstract: Aspects of a method for implementing a customer relationship management (CRM) and point of sale (POS) system on a node-to-node network for patron experience are disclosed including capturing transaction data or generating transaction data from one or more POS devices of a plurality of POS devices establishing a node-to-node network for processing payment on a commercial transaction are provided. Aspects of the method also include aggregating a data set associated with the commercial transaction. Moreover, aspects of the method also include reconciling the aggregated data set with a distributed ledger operating on the node-to-node network. Aspects of a CRM and POS system for patron experience are also provided, wherein the system comprises a remote payment device associated with information for making payment on a commercial transaction; and a plurality of POS devices establishing a node-to-node network for processing payment on the commercial transaction.

Abstract: In non-limiting examples of the present disclosure, systems, methods and devices for assisting with testing custom application software are provided. An input that modifies an application action may be received. A request to execute a test action corresponding to the application may be received. One or more test steps for executing the test action may be identified. Each of the one or more test steps may be executed in a test framework utilizing test metadata. A determination may be made as to whether an unexpected result occurred during the execution of the one or more steps. If an unexpected result is determined to have occurred, a graphical representation of the unexpected result may be caused to be displayed.

Abstract: An apparatus and a method are provided for a surgical bending instrument for bending surgical implants. The surgical bending instrument comprises a body including a longitudinally extending threaded hole. A shaft comprising a threaded portion is rotatably engaged within the threaded hole. A handle is coupled to a proximal end of the shaft, and a distal extension of the shaft comprises a driver. A distal force applicator comprises the driver centered between a first grip and a second grip. In some embodiments, the distal force applicator is configured to retain a surgical staple, such that the surgical staple may be changed to a distracted configuration suitable for implantation at a bone fixation or fusion site of a patient. In some embodiments, the distal force applicator is configured to bend a bone fusion plate so as to tailor the plate to specific anatomy of the patient's bone.

The at least one cluster controller configured to configure a packager from the packagers as an active packager by enabling a packet listener, a sequence list generator, and a segment generator, configure a remaining packager from the packagers as a backup packager by disabling a segment generator, receive segments, sequence list, and metadata based on processed packets from the active packager, generate, via the manifest generator, a manifest based on the segments, the sequence list, and the metadata, and send the segments and the manifest to a streaming system component.

Abstract: The present invention generally relates to the field of replicating or copying keys. More specifically, the present invention relates to creating a copy of a master key based on a captured image of the master key. The present invention identifies a set of target key information based on vehicle and or lock information as well as the image of the master key to provide for the cutting of a duplicate key blade copy to be delivered to a user or to another location. Additional key information may also be captured along with the image of the master key.

Abstract: A heat diffuser for use with an electrically-operated aerosol-generating device is configured to be removably coupled to the aerosol-generating device. The heat diffuser includes a non-combustible porous body for absorbing heat from an electric heating element. The porous body is thermally conductive such that, in use, air drawn through the porous body is heated by the heat absorbed by the porous body. Example embodiments also provide a heated aerosol-generating article and an aerosol-generating system, both comprising the heat diffuser.

Abstract: Image data is processed for noise reduction before encoding and subsequent decoding. For an input image in a spatial domain, two-dimensional (2-D) wavelet coefficients at multiple levels are generated. Each level includes multiple subbands, each associated with a respective subband type in a wavelet domain. For respective levels, a flat region of a subband is identified, which flat region includes blocks of the subband having a variance no higher than a first threshold variance. A flat block set for the subband type associated with the subband is identified, which includes blocks common to respective flat regions of the subband. A second threshold variance is determined using variances of the flat block set, and is then used for thresholding at least some of the 2-D wavelet coefficients to remove noise. After thresholding, a denoised image is generated in the spatial domain using the levels.

Placement of individual inputs may rely on certain human factors, such as natural hand placement over a desk surface or lap. As the user activates various input components, including the thumb actuator(s), data, messages, and instructions are provided to the computing device to cause electronic game movements or actions and users benefit from various arrangements by increasing their speed, comfort, and accuracy while decreasing fatigue and injury risk.

Abstract: Aqueous and solid ammonium sulfate fertilizers derived from an organic feedstock and a mineral sulfate compound. The aqueous fertilizers have at least 3.5% nitrogen and at least 4% sulfur, and the solid fertilizers have about 21% nitrogen and about 24% sulfur. Methods for producing the fertilizers include preparing an organic feedstock by causing organic waste to undergo anaerobic digestion, removing solids from the organic feedstock to produce an organic liquid effluent, performing a distillation process on the organic liquid effluent to strip and concentrate a vapor that contains ammonia, carbon dioxide, and water and cool the vapor to produce a condensed solution containing ammonium bicarbonate and/or ammonium carbonate, and contacting the condensed solution with the mineral sulfate compound to cause a reaction therebetween and produce an aqueous ammonium sulfate product. An evaporation process can be performed on the aqueous ammonium sulfate product to produce a dry, solid ammonium sulfate product.

Abstract: For a nonvolatile (NV) storage media such as NAND (not AND) media that is written by a program and program verify operation, the system can apply a smart prologue operation. A smart prologue operation can selectively apply a standard program prologue, to compute program parameters for a target subblock. The smart prologue operation can selectively apply an accelerated program prologue, applying a previously-computed program parameter for a subsequent subblock of a same block of the NV storage media. Application of a prior program parameter can reduce the need to compute program parameters for the other subblocks.
