Abstract: Solutions for evaluating source code generators use offline and online evaluation stages. Offline evaluation includes separating each of a plurality of input passages of software code into a plurality of constituent blocks. Each code generator (of a plurality of code generators) generates an equivalent block corresponding to each constituent block. A coding score is determined for each equivalent block (for each code generator), and the coding scores are aggregated across the equivalent blocks to provide an aggregate score for each code generator. A ranking of the aggregate scores is used to down-select to a fewer number of code generators for online evaluation. For this stage, the code generators output passages of software code, and user acceptance of the code generators' outputs may be used for further ranking and down-selection. Some examples weight the coding score according to a code utility estimate of the constituent blocks for which equivalent blocks are generated.

Abstract: The generation of a response to a task prompt that represents a task to perform on declarative code. The response is generated with the aid of a language model that was trained on imperative code. The declarative code includes declarations about data. A task prompt represents a task to perform on the declarative code. At least a portion of the declarative code and at least a portion of the task prompt are converted into input imperative code. The input imperative code is then caused to be provided as input to the language model, resulting in the language model generating output imperative code. At least a portion of the output imperative code is then converted into a response to the task prompt.

Abstract: A urine collection and storage system has a urinal and a remote collection bag interconnected by a tube. An intermediate coupler in the tube and adjacent to the urinal bifurcates the tube into separable proximal and distal portions. The proximal portion of the tube is shorter and stiffer while the distal portion of the tube is longer length and less stiff to provide both flexibility and resist kinking. The collection bag can have a pair of layers joined together about substantially a perimeter with a double seal including an outer seal adjacent the perimeter and an inner seal spaced-apart from the outer seal. A plurality of different reusable urine collection and storage kits can be provided with different urinals adapted for individuals.

Abstract: The disclosed technology is generally directed to a personalized feed. In one example of the technology, selected key-value pairs from a profile associated with a user are provided. Based on a prompt that includes natural-language text instructions, the selected key-value pairs, and ranked content, a large language model is used to generate: pill prompts associated with the ranked content, such that the pill prompts are information requests that are unique and personalized to have particular relevance to the user based on selected key-value pairs, and a response to each pill prompt such that the response includes content corresponding to the requested information. A content feed is displayed to the user, including displaying selectable pills to the user as part of the displayed content feed such that each selectable pill includes a corresponding pill prompt. The response to the pill prompt that corresponds to the selection is displayed to the user.

Abstract: Provided herein are compositions and methods for the cryopreservation of immune cells, such as peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) by pre-treating the cells with a PTD-MYC fusion protein (e.g., an HIV TAT-MYC fusion protein) prior to freezing. Kits for practicing the methods are also provided herein.

Abstract: The present disclosure relates to methods and devices for controlling arthropods, including insects and arachnids in an environment. The methods generally comprise: generating a near-ideal gas Purified Hydrogen Peroxide Gas (PHPG) that is substantially non-hydrated (e.g., in the form of water in solution or water in solution or water molecules bonded by covalence, van der Waals forces, or London forces) and substantially free of, e.g., ozone, plasma species, and/or organic species; and directing the gas comprising primarily PHPG into the environment such that the PHPG acts to control arachnids in the environment. In certain aspects, the arachnids may be totally or partially killed.

Abstract: A method of removing contaminants from a solution comprises passing a solution including one or more contaminants through a first cell comprising a first anode chamber and a first cathode chamber, passing a slurry comprising a flowing electrode material through the first anode chamber and the first cathode chamber while applying an electric potential between the first anode chamber and the first cathode chamber to transport anions from the solution to the first anode chamber and to transport cations from the solution to the first cathode chamber, the flowing electrode material comprising a MXene material, wherein M is a metal and X is one or both of carbon and nitrogen, and passing the slurry through a second cell to desorb the anions and cations from the flowing electrode material. Abstract: An apparatus and a method are provided for a surgical bending instrument for bending surgical implants. The surgical bending instrument comprises a body including a longitudinally extending threaded hole. A shaft comprising a threaded portion is rotatably engaged within the threaded hole. A handle is coupled to a proximal end of the shaft, and a distal extension of the shaft comprises a driver. A distal force applicator comprises the driver centered between a first grip and a second grip. In some embodiments, the distal force applicator is configured to retain a surgical staple, such that the surgical staple may be changed to a distracted configuration suitable for implantation at a bone fixation or fusion site of a patient. In some embodiments, the distal force applicator is configured to bend a bone fusion plate so as to tailor the plate to specific anatomy of the patient's bone.

Abstract: The technology described in this document can be embodied in a computer-implemented method that includes receiving, at a processing system, a first signal including an output of a speaker device and an additional audio signal. The method also includes determining, by the processing system, based at least in part on a model trained to identify the output of the speaker device, that the additional audio signal corresponds to an utterance of a user. The method further includes initiating a reduction in an audio output level of the speaker device based on determining that the additional audio signal corresponds to the utterance of the user.

Abstract: Implementations described herein are directed to enabling collaborative ranking of interpretations of spoken utterances based on data that is available to an automated assistant and third-party agent(s), respectively. The automated assistant can determine first-party interpretation(s) of a spoken utterance provided by a user, and can cause the third-party agent(s) to determine third-party interpretation(s) of the spoken utterance provided by the user. In some implementations, the automated assistant can select a given interpretation, from the first-party interpretation(s) and the third-party interpretation(s), of the spoken utterance, and can cause a given third-party agent to satisfy the spoken utterance based on the given interpretation.

Abstract: A combined water aeration and filtration unit (WAFU), having a tank with a vent section at a top of said WAFU and above an aeration section above a filtration section at a bottom of said WAFU. The vent section has one or more demisters and one or more vents for detraining water and providing a dry air exit from said WAFU. The air section has a water inlet ending in a spray nozzle near the top of the aeration section to turn incoming dirty water into water droplets and a forced air blower on a side or top of the aeration section for blowing air through said water droplets in rate sufficient to remove volatile organic compounds and precipitate manganese and iron. The aeration section also has one or more annular rings or partially annular baffles on an inside wall of the tank to force water from said inside wall into an interior of the tank. Thus, no water escapes aeration.
