  • Patent number: 11901605
Abstract: The invention is directed to deployable reflectarray antenna structure. In one embodiment, the deployable reflectarray antenna structure includes a pair of flexible electrical elements, a feed antenna, and a deployment mechanism that employs a plurality of tapes to respectively transition the pair of flexible electrical elements from an undeployed state in which the elements are folded towards a deployed state in which the deployment mechanism and electrical elements cooperate to form a reflectarray and a subreflector of a reflectarray antenna structure. Further, the deployment mechanism also operates to position the reflectarray and subreflector relative to one another and to the feed antenna so as to realize a reflectarray antenna structure.

  • Patent number: 11900576
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided for preserving dynamic range in images. In some aspects, a process can include steps for receiving, at an autonomous vehicle system, image data from an image sensor, generating, by the autonomous vehicle system, a high dynamic range (HDR) output by performing HDR processing on the image data from the image sensor, generating, by the autonomous vehicle system, a least significant bit (LSB) output by performing LSB processing on the image data from the image sensor, and generating, by the autonomous vehicle system, an 8-bit output by performing a buffer process on the HDR output and the LSB output of the image sensor.

  • Patent number: 11900140
Abstract: A data protection system includes a splitter configured to reduce latencies when splitting writes in a computing environment. The splitter captures a write and adds metadata to augment the write with virtual related information. The augmented data is provided to a smartNIC while the write is then processed in the IO stack. The smartNIC may have a volume only visible to the splitter. The smartNIC also includes processing power that allows data protection operations to be performed at the smartNIC rather than with the processing resources of the host.

  • Patent number: 11896935
Abstract: Polymeric membranes are modified via SIS to promote membrane resilience, prolong membrane lifetime, and mitigate fouling. Modified membranes include an inorganic material within an outer portion of the modified membrane and a polymeric core that remains unmodified by the inorganic material. The polymer may be removed leaving an inorganic material patterned from an initial unmodified polymeric membrane.

  • Patent number: 11897579
Abstract: A jet-powered sled has a body having a control cockpit with control apparatus for an operator to control the jet sled, a set of surface runners adapted to engage a surface upon which the sled is operated, the surface runners removably engaged to spindles coupled to swing arms coupled to the jet sled, and an engine compartment having a jet engine removably mounted in a manner to direct thrust to a rear of the jet sled to propel the jet sled. The jet sled is characterized in that the sled may be adapted specifically to run on water, ice, or snow by installing runners adapted for water, ice, or snow on the spindles of the swing arms.

  • Patent number: 11900061
Abstract: A method and system for predicting an intended time interval for a content segment may include receiving a request for natural language processing (NLP) of the content segment, the content segment including one or more temporal expressions, accessing contextual data associated with each of the one or more temporal expressions, decoding the content segment into a program that describes a temporal logic of the content segment based on the one or more temporal expressions, evaluating the program using the contextual data to predict an intended time interval for the content segment, and providing the intended time interval as an output.

  • Patent number: 11896281
Abstract: A cryo-fixation lead extraction device includes a lead extraction catheter having longitudinally spaced proximal and distal catheter ends and an elongate catheter lumen. A liner has longitudinally spaced proximal and distal liner ends and an elongate liner lumen. The liner lumen is configured to selectively accept at least part of a lead being extracted longitudinally therethrough. At least a portion of the liner is located circumferentially within and/or circumferentially surrounding the catheter lumen. At least one cryogen supply line extends longitudinally through at least a portion of the liner lumen. The cryogen supply line is configured to place a cryogen fluid source into fluid communication with the distal liner end. The cryogen supply line is configured to selectively generate a patient tissue cooled zone adjacent the distal catheter end. A method of cryo-fixation lead extraction is also provided.

  • Patent number: 11897460
Abstract: Among other things, sensor signals are received using a vehicle comprising an autonomous driving capability. A risk associated with operating the vehicle is identified based on the sensor signals. The autonomous driving capability is modified in response to the risk. The operation of the vehicle is updated based on the modifying of the autonomous capability.

  • Patent number: 11900811
Abstract: A system for crowdsourcing reporting of road conditions from abnormal vehicle events. Abnormal vehicle events (such as sudden braking, sharp turns, evasive actions, pothole impact, etc.) can be detected and reported to a road condition monitoring system (RCMS). The RCMS can identify patterns in reported road conditions to generate advisory information or instructions for vehicles and users of vehicles. For example, suspected obstacles can be identified and used to instruct a driver or a vehicle to slow down gradually to avoid sudden braking and sharp turns. In some examples, a vehicle can have a camera that can upload an image of a suspected obstacle (e.g., a pothole) to allow the positive identification of a road problem. This provides the RCMS with more confidence to take a corrective action, such as an automated call to a road repair service.

  • Patent number: 11902078
Abstract: Communication systems are described that use signal constellations, which have unequally spaced (i.e. ‘geometrically’ shaped) points. In many embodiments, the communication systems use specific geometric constellations that are capacity optimized at a specific SNR. In addition, ranges within which the constellation points of a capacity optimized constellation can be perturbed and are still likely to achieve a given percentage of the optimal capacity increase compared to a constellation that maximizes dmin, are also described. Capacity measures that are used in the selection of the location of constellation points include, but are not limited to, parallel decode (PD) capacity and joint capacity.
