Abstract: A magnetic shelving fence that provides stabilization of retail products on merchandised shelving during shelving relocation. The includes an elongate multi-surfaced structure and one or more magnets. The elongate structure includes a vertical front plate, a horizontal mount plate, and an edge surround portion. The vertical front plate provides a planar barrier to merchandized product movement. The horizontal mount plate is disposed in a generally perpendicular orientation with respect to the vertical front plate. The edge surround portion connects the lower edge of the front plate to the horizontal mount plate and defines a channel shaped to surround a front edge of shelving. The magnets of the magnetic shelving fence are fixedly coupled to the horizontal mount plate. Further, the magnets are oriented to secure the elongate multi-surfaced structure with a bottom face of metal shelving via temporary and non-destructive attachment.

  • Patent number: 11900127
Abstract: Cryptographically-secured deferral tickets provided by a minting process that runs in a secure enclave on a computing device reset an authenticated watchdog timer that reboots the device from a hardware-protected recovery operating system to re-image the device into a known good state if the timer expires. The deferral tickets are written to a secure channel using a symmetric key that is provisioned by repurposing an existing Intel SGX (Software Guard Extension) Versioning Support protocol that enables migration of secrets between enclaves that have the same author. In an illustrative embodiment, the deferral ticket minting process and authenticated watchdog timer execute locally to enable automated recovery of the computing device when utilized in far edge infrastructure of a fifth generation (5G) network such as a distributed unit (DU) of a radio access network (RAN).

  • Patent number: 11896728
Abstract: An ultraviolet (“UV”) emission device may emit energy towards a movable surface of a conveyor system. A housing of the UV emission device may attach to a frame of the conveyor system. A lateral edge of the housing may extend across the moveable surface. The housing and a portion of the moveable surface may be inclined with respect to the frame. A barrier bracket of the UV emission device may support an absorptive barrier along the lateral edge, the absorptive barrier configured to contact the moveable surface. In a first position of the barrier bracket, the absorptive barrier contacts the moveable surface and the barrier bracket activates an interlock switch. In a second position of the barrier bracket, the barrier bracket deactivates the interlock switch. Responsive to deactivation of the interlock switch, a controller may provide a control signal to decrease power to the UV energy emission element.

  • Patent number: 11899518
Abstract: Methods, systems and computer program products are provided for improving performance (e.g., reducing power consumption) of a hardware accelerator (e.g., neural processor) comprising hybrid or analog multiply and accumulate (MAC) processing elements (PEs). Selective variation of the precision of an array of MAC PEs may reduce power consumption of a neural processor. Power may be conserved by dynamically controlling the precision of analog to digital (ADC) output bits for one or more MAC PEs. Dynamic control of ADC output bit precision may be based on precision information determined during training and/or post-training (e.g., quantization) of an artificial intelligence (AI) neural network (NN) model implemented by the neural processor. Precision information may include a range of dynamic precision for each of a plurality of nodes of a computation graph for the AI NN model.

  • Patent number: 11898578
Abstract: A heat-activated multiphase fluid-operated pump. A hot chamber receptive of externally applied heat converts a working fluid into vapor. A pressure-control valve allows vaporized working fluid to escape the hot chamber only when a target pressure is exceeded. A liquid-piston chamber receives the vaporized working fluid, which expands adiabatically to displace pumped liquid within the liquid-piston chamber in a pump stage, expelling it through an exit port having a unidirectional check valve. A condenser receives the displaced liquid and allowing it in a suction stage to return to the liquid-piston chamber through another unidirectional check valve. An injector valve coupled between the liquid-piston chamber and the hot chamber facilitates jets of condensed working fluid to replenish the hot chamber in successive brief spurts responsive to periodic pressure pulses in the liquid-piston chamber that temporarily exceed the pressure in the hot chamber.
