Ground heights with respect to a common reference height are determined for the first group of mobile devices, and reference barometric pressures are calculated for the first group of mobile devices, at the common reference height according to the barometric pressure readings and the determined ground heights. At least a portion of the reference barometric pressures are combined to obtain a reference barometric pressure. Other embodiments are disclosed.

    Abstract: In some embodiments, a computer system may buffer, in a local storage buffer, data to be stored at the cloud and upload the data to the cloud storage from the local storage buffer. Upon receipt of an acknowledgement, from the cloud storage, that the data was successfully uploaded, the computer system may delete the data from the local storage buffer. The computer system may provide a ghost file representation of the uploaded data through the computer system, through which the data uploaded to the cloud storage may be accessed. In some embodiments, the computer system may access multiple cloud storage accounts, each corresponding to a file folder on the computer system, allowing the user to easily access different cloud storage accounts. The computer system may recover data that was deleted from either local persistent storage or the cloud storage.

Metadata of the existing VMs are analyzed to identify an OS image or other software image used to provision the existing VMs. The metadata also reveals updates that are running on the new VMs. These updates include software that was not part of the original label used to provision the existing VMs and are used to find the second label in a label database. The second labels include the OS or software of the existing VMs—or a later version thereof—and some portion of the updates. A VM-provisioning service uses the second label to provision the new VM.

The cut is aligned along a vertical direction orthogonal to the plane such that a portion of the SiC semiconductor wafer has a second thickness that extends between a bottom of the cut and an outer surface of the SiC semiconductor wafer. The method can further include defining a cleave, by performing a cleaving operation, through the portion of the SiC semiconductor wafer having the second thickness. The cleave can be aligned with the cut and extending to the outer surface of the SiC semiconductor wafer.

    Abstract: Methods and apparatus for optimizing antenna beam and performance within a wireless system. In one embodiment, the methods and apparatus utilize so-called “quasi-licensed” CBRS (Citizens Broadband Radio Service) wireless spectrum in conjunction with a controller that dynamically adjusts antenna direction, orientation and receive/transmit beam for receiving/transmitting the information at an installed fixed wireless apparatus (FWA) at user or subscriber premises. In one variant, the FWA includes controller logic that tracks Radio Frequency (RF) propagation parameters and optimizes antenna azimuth and tilt to maximize the antenna gain towards a serving base station. As such, service calls by operator personnel to optimize antenna performance are not required, thereby reducing network operating expenses. Moreover, increased customer density at a prescribed service level is achieved through more precise coordination and mitigation of interference between nearby FWA devices and their serving base stations.
