  • Patent number: 11870190
Abstract: To reduce sparks and arcing if an RJ plug is removed from an RJ jack while a PoE signal is present, the jack includes contact terminals for making electrical contact with blades of the plug. At least two primary contact terminals have first engagement portions positioned a first distance from the opening. At least one secondary and/or tertiary contact terminal has a second and/or third engagement portion, which is positioned less than the first distance from the opening. The engagement portions are the last portions of the contact terminals to make electrical contact with corresponding blades of the plug upon removal of the plug. At least one of the first engagement portions is formed of a first material different from a second material used to form at least one of the second or third engagement portions. One of the materials is formed to resist damage from sparks better than the other material.

  • Patent number: 11870679
Abstract: Some embodiments provide a method for implementing a logical router that spans multiple datacenters. The method receives a configuration for a set of logical switches and a logical router (LR) that (i) handles data traffic between data compute nodes (DCNs) connected to the logical switches and endpoints not connected to the set of logical switches and (ii) performs stateful services on the traffic. The DCNs include at least one DCN operating in each datacenter. For each datacenter, the method defines a centralized routing component (SR) for the LR for handling the traffic between the DCNs in the datacenter and the endpoints not connected to the set of logical switches. The method designates one of the SRs as a primary SR and the other SRs as secondary SRs. The secondary SRs forward traffic, received from DCNs in their respective datacenters and for which stateful services are required, to the primary SR.

  • Patent number: 11870515
Abstract: Methods, media, and systems are provided for a priority-based multi-user (MU) multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) pairing threshold for codebook beamforming. The methods, media, and systems identify a plurality of user device candidates for a user device pairing. A first user device of the plurality of user device candidates having a higher priority than another user device of the plurality of user device candidates is identified. Correlations between one or more beams associated with one or more of the plurality of user device candidates are determined. Based on determining the correlations, user devices can be paired for resource sharing. In some embodiments, the user devices are paired based on beam correlations being below a threshold. For example, the threshold can be determined based on a priority of one or more of the user devices.

  • Patent number: 11870833
Abstract: Methods and systems for encoder parameter setting optimization. A media item to be provided to one or more users of a platform is identified. The media item is associated with a media class. An indication of the identified media item is provided as input to a first machine learning model. The first machine learning model is trained to predict, for a given media item, a set of encoder parameter settings that satisfy a performance criterion in view of a respective media class associated with the given media item. One or more outputs of the first machine learning model are obtained. The one or more obtained outputs include encoder data identifying one or more sets of encoder parameter settings and, for each of the sets of encoder parameter settings, an indication of a level of confidence that a respective set of encoder parameter settings satisfies the performance criterion in view of the media class associated with the identified media item.

  • Patent number: 11867963
Abstract: Embodiments of the present invention provide a unique new approach to generating operating condition information used for assessing flow assurance and structural integrity. More specifically, apparatuses, systems and methods configured in accordance with embodiments of the present invention enable multiplexed arrangement of optical fiber for sensing of operating conditions within a structural member and utilize fiber optic sensors for enabling monitoring of operating condition information within one or more elongated tubular members. To this end, fiber optic sensors are strategically placed at a plurality of locations along a length of each elongated tubular member thereby allowing critical operating conditions such as strain, temperature and pressure of the elongated tubular member and/or a fluid therein to be monitored. A multiplexing unit is used for allowing selective configuration of individual lengths of optical fiber for creating one or more contiguous optical fiber structures.

  • Patent number: 11868596
Abstract: A computing device may determine that a condition exists with respect to a user of an application. Based on the determined condition, the computing device may determine an action for the user to perform via the application, and an associated importance level of the action. The computing device may identify a user interface element of the application that is associated with the action and a color that is associated with the importance level. The computing device may change the appearance of the identified user interface element such that the user interface element has the color that is associated with the importance level of the action.

  • Patent number: 11868341
Abstract: Identification of content gaps based on relative user-selection rates between multiple discrete content sources. A system analyzes search log activity to determine whether users that are conducting particular types of search activities are ultimately selecting and relying upon content resources from a predefined content source of interest or, alternatively, whether such users are unsatisfied with the predefined content source of interest and are instead relying upon other third-party content sources. This particular type of analysis provides valuable insights into whether content gaps exist within the predefined content source of interest.

  • Patent number: 11867019
Abstract: When cementing tubing in a borehole, a wet shoe track is created, and pressure testing of the tubing is performed. To do this, a wiper plug seats in a seat of an insert disposed in a first position in a flow bore of a tool. The insert is released and moved toward a second position in the flow bore in response to the first pressure applied against the seated wiper plug. A collar disposed on the wiper plug seats on a second seat disposed uphole of the first seat. The tubing is pressure tested by applying pressure down the tubing against the wiper plug with the collar seated in the second seat. Fluid communication is then established through the flow bore downhole of the wiper plug, the first seat, and the second seat by removing the collar from the wiper plug. This can create the wet shoe track.

  • Patent number: 11868328
Abstract: A method of maintaining a key-value store comprising a first record structure in which each key comprises an index and each value comprises a respective set of item IDs, and a second record structure in which each key comprises an item ID and each value comprises a respective item of data. Each new item ID of a group is added, starting at the root level of a tree structure: I) determining whether the current record will exceed a maximum size limit if the new item ID is included therein, and if not, including the new item ID, but II) if so, identifying a number of records at the next level of the tree structure, and applying a deterministic transformation to the item ID of the new item to determine one of the identified number of records, and repeating from I) with the determined record now as the current record.

  • Patent number: 11867297
Abstract: A plug assembly that is configured to secure a plug tip to a valve stem. These configurations may include a clamp that secures to an end of the valve stem. The clamp encloses at least part of the plug tip. In one implementation, the design may include a spring assembly that generates a pre-load on the top of the plug tip, as well. The clamp is useful because it accommodates plug tips made from ceramics and like, brittle materials. Its features can prevent certain mechanical failure, for example, cracks or breaks that can occur during manufacture or assembly. As an added benefit, the device can maintain alignment of the plug tip with the valve stem. This feature can ensure proper engagement with a seat in a flow control, like a control valve.
