Abstract: One example method includes intercepting an IO issued by an application, writing the IO and IO metadata to a splitter journal in NVM, forwarding the IO to storage, and asynchronous with operations occurring along an IO path between the application and storage, evacuating the splitter journal by sending the IO and IO metadata from the splitter journal to a replication site. In this example, sending the IO and IO metadata from the journal to the replication site does not increase a latency associated with the operations on the IO path.

Abstract: A water conservation faucet seamlessly integrating a tactile feedback mechanism into existing faucets to spur user controlled pre-set water flow rate, energy conservation, and cost savings. During movement of the handle, the user receives tactile feedback through the handle indicating the position of the handle as it moves from one pre-set position to the next. In addition to tactile feedback, the handle provides visual feedback to the user as the handle remains in the fixed position until the user chooses to move handle to another position.

Abstract: Systems and methods are provided in which physical objects in the ambient environment can function as user interface implements in an augmented reality environment. A physical object detected within a field of view of a camera of a computing device may be designated as a user interface implement in response to a user command. User interfaces may be attached to the designated physical object, to provide a tangible user interface implement for user interaction with the augmented reality environment.

Abstract: A user equipment (UE) is configured to receive a control message over a physical control channel in a first of a plurality of time slots, wherein the control message has power control bits for a plurality of UEs. Further, the first of the plurality of time slots has a second downlink physical control channel and a downlink physical shared channel. The UE is further configured to transmit a signal in uplink physical channel in a second time slot to a base station having a transmission power level based on the power control bits received in the control message.
Abstract: A work machine includes a frame, a traction system supporting the frame, an arm assembly having a first end and a second end, the first end connected to the frame, an implement connected to the second end, and a linkage connecting the implement to the second end of the arm assembly. The linkage includes a pin-supporting section configured to accept a pin and a linking section attached to the pin-supporting section by a weld. The linking section includes a recess proximate to the weld.

Abstract: Systems and methods to perform behavioral planning in an autonomous vehicle from a reference state involve generating a set of actions of a fixed size and fixed order according to a predefined methodology. Each action is a semantic instruction for a next motion of the vehicle. A set of trajectories is generated from the set of actions as an instruction indicating a path and a velocity profile to generate steering angles and accelerations for implementation by the vehicle. A trajectory filter is applied to filter the set of trajectories such that unfiltered trajectories are candidate trajectories. Applying the trajectory filter includes assessing the path and velocity profile indicated by each of the set of trajectories. A selected trajectory is used to control the vehicle or the action that corresponds to the selected trajectory is used in trajectory planning to generate a final trajectory that is used to control the vehicle.
Abstract: A method for using a user-fillable form in a host container includes receiving, at a host container, a user-fillable form bound to dynamic data from an underlying data source where the user-fillable form has a data structure generated by prepopulated coding. The method further includes translating the user-fillable form into a hostable format for the host container. The method also includes rendering, using the hostable format for the host container, the user-fillable form in a user interface. The method further includes receiving, at the user interface of the host container, from a user of the host container, a data entry for input to the user-fillable form and updating, by the host container, the dynamic data from the underlying data source by persisting data from the data entry in a data store associated with the underlying data source.

Abstract: Aspects of the disclosure relate generally to detecting and avoiding blind spots of other vehicles when maneuvering an autonomous vehicle. Blind spots may include both areas adjacent to another vehicle in which the driver of that vehicle would be unable to identify another object as well as areas that a second driver in a second vehicle may be uncomfortable driving. In one example, a computer of the autonomous vehicle may identify objects that may be relevant for blind spot detecting and may determine the blind spots for these other vehicles. The computer may predict the future locations of the autonomous vehicle and the identified vehicles to determine whether the autonomous vehicle would drive in any of the determined blind spots. If so, the autonomous driving system may adjust its speed to avoid or limit the autonomous vehicle's time in any of the blind spots.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for processing a formable material having at least first and second relatively repositionable units. The first unit has a sheet die, with the second unit having a rotary drum with a peripheral forming surface for receiving flowable material from the sheet die. The first and second units can be selectively changed between an operating relationship and a setup relationship, with the latter causing at least one space to be defined/enlarged and within which an operator can maneuver to gain access to a region of at least one of the first and second units. With the first and second units in the operating relationship, moldable sheets can be processed by causing the moldable sheets to be applied, and conformed, to the peripheral forming surface on the rotary drum.
