Abstract: Techniques are described herein for predicting popularity metrics and/or visitation metrics that are used in the selection of a point of interest (POI) for placement of an electric vehicle charging station (EVCS). The techniques involve training a machine learning model based on information obtained about POIs at which EVCSs are already installed. The information used to train the machine learning model includes, for each existing installation location: (a) visitation data that describes visitation features, and (b) popularity metrics and/or visitation metrics that have been generated for the location. When the machine learning model has been trained, the trained machine learning model predicts popularity metrics and/or visitation metrics for a POI location at which no EVCS has been installed based on the visitation data of that POI.

Abstract: Systems and methods are taught for providing customers of a cloud computing service to control when updates affect the services provided to the customers. Because multiple customers share the cloud's infrastructure, each customer may have conflicting preferences for when an update and associated downtime occurs. Preventing and resolving conflicts between the preferences of multiple customers while providing them with input for scheduling a planned update may reduce the inconvenience posed by updates. Additionally, the schedule for the update may be transmitted to customers so that they can prepare for the downtime of services associated with the update.

Abstract: A method and apparatus for performing ophthalmic laser surgery using a pulsed laser beam is provided. The method includes establishing an initial cutting pattern comprising a plurality of original photodisruption points, establishing an enhanced cutting pattern comprising a plurality of enhanced photodisruption points selected to decrease potential adverse effects due to patient movement and having increased density over a fixed area as compared with the plurality of original photodisruption points, and performing an ocular surgical procedure according to the enhanced cutting pattern Enhanced cutting patterns may include circular cuts around the periphery of a capsule, vertical side cuts for lens fragmentation, raster lamellar cuts, and grid lamellar cuts. Each photodisruption point in the initial cutting pattern and the enhanced cutting pattern comprises a laser target point.
Abstract: A waterproof and safety framing system is disclosed. The framing system includes a building defining an opening, a wall panel, and a framing assembly. The framing assembly includes receiver and a bottom track. The receiver is installed along an edge of the opening, with the receiver including a receiver bottom wall that defines a receiver ridge extending along a length of the receiver. The bottom track is attached to an edge of the wall panel and including a track bottom wall that defines a track ridge, with the receiver and the bottom track matingly engaging such that the bottom track overlays the receiver and the receiver ridge and the track ridge are proximal one another. The framing assembly is structured to prevent the wall panel from passing through the opening in a first direction.
Abstract: Implementations set forth herein relate to providing selectable autofill suggestions, which correspond to application actions that are at least partially fulfilled using server command data—prior to a user selecting a particular selectable autofill suggestion. Proactively fulfilling command data in this way mitigates latency between user selection of a suggestion and fulfillment of a particular action. Initially, a partial input can be processed to generate autofill suggestions, which can be communicated to a server device for further processing. The autofill suggestions can also be rendered for selection at a touch display interface, thereby allowing a user to select one of the autofill suggestions. As command fulfillment data is provided by the server, the command fulfillment data can be available to a corresponding application(s) in order that any corresponding actions can be at least partially fulfilled prior to user selection.
Abstract: A toy comprising a frame and an inverting toy. In some embodiments, the inverting toy includes an invertible shell having a first surface and a second surface, the invertible shell configured to protrude outward in a first direction with respect to the frame until a depressing force on the first surface or the second surface in a second direction causes the shell to invert and protrude in the second direction with respect to the frame, wherein the first direction and the second direction are substantially opposite, an edge member formed at an edge of the invertible shell and configured to secure the invertible shell to the frame, and a pulling member formed on and protruding outward from the first surface of the invertible shell.
Abstract: A hearing improvement system for use with a user's smart device and earpiece/headphones includes software stored on a memory device of the smart device, the software configured to be executed by a processor of the smart device to cause an audio signal received from a microphone of or operating with the smart device if containing two or more sound patterns to be separated into a plurality of individualized sound patterns; categorize the individualized sound patterns; display an icon representing each categorized sound pattern on a screen of the smart device; enable a user viewing the icons to at least one of deactivate or activate each of the individualized sound patterns; and enable each of the non-deactivated individualized sound patterns to be delivered to the user's earpiece/headphones.
