  • Patent number: 11860356
Abstract: This disclosure provides methods and systems that adaptively adjust the gain of the drive signal to a slow-scan mirror to compensate and stabilize the mirror to achieve desired performance metrics. Non-ideal characteristics of the slow-scan mirror, including the mirror and related assembly, exhibit behaviors that impact the overall gain of the device, which changes over time and operating environment. To compensate for these non-ideal characteristics, the drive signal to the slow-scan mirror may need to be adjusted to achieve the desired beam deflection angle. An adaptive inner loop gain control structure may be employed to dynamically adjust the gain of the inner-control loop to achieve a target gain such that the overall gain variations from the slow scan mirror and other components are scan mirror such that compensated and stabilized. The parameters, logic and blocks of the inner loop gain control may be implemented in hardware, software, or combinations thereof.

  • Patent number: 11861297
Abstract: Systems, methods, and devices including smart interfaces with facilitated input and mistake recovery are described. For example, a smart interface system can identify one or more portions of user input as alterable decisions, and, for each of the one or more alterable decisions, store, in a memory, information about one or more alternative options for the alterable decision. The system can also identify one of the alterable decisions as the currently alterable decision, and upon receiving an input indicative of an actuation of the alteration key, alter the currently alterable decision to another of the one or more alternative options based on the stored information.

  • Patent number: 11857235
Abstract: A differential compression bone screw and a method are provided for compressing adjacent bone portions together to encourage bone fusion. The compression bone screw is comprised of a head portion and a shank. A center hole extends from the head portion to a distal end of the shank. A superior end of the head portion includes a shaped opening that receives a tool for driving the compression bone screw into a hole drilled in a patient's bone. An inferior end of the head portion includes barbs that engage with surrounding bone tissue. A smooth portion of the shank is disposed between proximal threads and distal threads that rotatably engage within the hole in the patient's bone. • Patent number: 11858354
Abstract: An emergency disconnect circuit for use with a high-voltage (HV) bus of a battery electric system, e.g., aboard a mobile system, includes a pyrotechnic switch and a manual switch. The pyrotechnic switch configured irreversibly opens in response to an electronic triggering signal to disconnect an HV battery pack from the HV bus in a first manner. The manual switch is arranged on a low-voltage (LV) bus in series with and between the pyrotechnic switch and an LV power supply. Transition of the manual switch from an open position to a closed position connects the LV power supply to the pyrotechnic switch. This causes the LV power supply to discharge the triggering signal to the pyrotechnic switch. When used aboard a mobile system, an electronic monitoring unit generates the triggering signal in a second manner in response to a threshold impact event.
