In connection therewith, the second regions each generally correspond to a combination of multiple first regions.

Abstract: Introduced here are retinal cameras having optical stops whose size and/or position can be modified to increase the size of the space in which an eye can move while being imaged. In some embodiments, an optical stop is mechanically moved to recover retinal image quality as the subject shifts their eye. In some embodiments, an optical stop is digitally created using a pixelated liquid crystal display (LCD) layer having multiple pixels that are individually controllably. In some embodiments, multiple non-pixelated LCD layers are connected to one another to form a variable transmission stack, and each LCD layer within the variable transmission stack may be offset from the other LCD layers. In such embodiments, the optical stop can be moved by changing which LCD layer is active at a given point in time.

Abstract: A modular system of light strips is configured for use on a roadway surface. The light strips are configured to withstand vehicular traffic driving over the light strips. The light strips have a rigid, durable housing protecting a series of LEDs within the housing. LED lenses direct light from the LEDs through the sidewall of the housing at vehicular traffic on the roadway. The channel is filled with a protective material, such as a polymer resin that protects the LEDs and power supply. The modular system includes a power source or can connect to a power grid. The modular system can include a sensor to activate the system and/or to control the light brightness Preferably the light strips connect together or can be substituted for one another to be interchangeable and easily carried, moved, installed and disassembled.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are compositions for treating, ameliorating, preventing, or reducing the symptoms associated with menopause and/or hot flashes. The compositions disclosed herein comprise a curcumin composition, a green tea extract composition, and a phycocyanin composition that act as neurokinin 3 receptor antagonists. Also described herein are methods utilizing the aforementioned compositions.

Abstract: Systems and methods disclosed herein provide fraud mitigation via dynamic transaction card wireless communication. A mobile device may cause a dynamic transaction card to periodically scan its environment to detect wireless enabled devices proximately located near the dynamic transaction card. Based on identifying the wireless enabled devices frequently located near the dynamic transaction card, a set of approved devices may be determined. During a transaction, a dynamic transaction card may scan its environment for other wireless enabled devices proximately located near the dynamic transaction card. If wireless enabled devices detected by the dynamic transaction card are all, or a subset, of the devices that are frequently located near the card, then the transaction may be authorized. However, if the wireless enabled devices detected by the dynamic transaction card are not all, or a subset, of the devices that are frequently located near the card, then the transaction may be unauthorized.

Abstract: A handle for use with a firearm cleaning rod may include an ergonomic handle. The ergonomic handle comprises a core having a top end, a grip, and a base; a bolster disposed on the top end provides an additional point for a user to apply force to the cleaning rod when cleaning a firearm. Below the bolster is the grip, which consists of a palm-engaging section and a finger-engaging section, where an inward curvature exists on the palm-engaging surface below the bolster; both sections may be covered with a textured overall for improved gripping by a user. Within the base is a housing that contains a connector for the purpose of securely connecting a cleaning rod to the ergonomic handle. The cleaning rod may include an accessory end for connecting firearm barrel cleaning accessories.

Abstract: A method for detecting network anomalies includes receiving a control message from a cellular network and extracting one or more features from the control message. The method also includes predicting a potential label for the control message using a predictive model configured to receive the one or more extracted features from the control message as feature inputs. Here, the predictive model is trained on a set of training control messages where each training control message includes one or more corresponding features and an actual label. The method further includes determining that a probability of the potential label satisfies a confidence threshold. The method also includes analyzing the control message to determine whether the control message corresponds to a respective network performance issue. When the control message impacts network performance, the method includes communicating the network performance issue to a network entity responsible for the network performance issue.
