Abstract: A system and method for extracting essential oils from organic material is provided. One embodiment places organic material into an extraction chamber that is a cylindrical wall of rigid material, wherein a diameter and a height of the extraction chamber is sized to define an interior that accommodates a desired amount of an organic material having essential oils; fills the extraction chamber with a solvent after the organic matter has been placed into the extraction chamber; and moves a vortex plunger disposed over the surface of the organic material in a repeated upward and downward motion during an agitation process so that the vortex vanes generate a fluid vortex in the solvent, wherein the fluid vortex causes the solvent to be drawn upward into the organic material and then to be pushed downward through the organic material so that the solvent extracts essential oils from the organic material.

Abstract: An air disc brake system includes a carrier having a mounting feature and a guide pin having a longitudinally extending relief passage. A caliper includes a longitudinally extending bore having spaced apart first and second ends, wherein the guide pin is received in the bore, and wherein the caliper is slidably mounted on the guide pin with the relief passage in fluid communication with the first and second ends of the bore. A fastener couples the guide pin to the carrier. A cap is coupled to the caliper and closes a second end of the bore. Methods of using and assembling the air disc brake system are also provided.

Abstract: A sensor assembly can include a bracket mounted to a vehicle roof in an attachment area of the vehicle roof. The bracket may cover the attachment area and the bracket may include a cantilevered portion extending in a vehicle-forward direction from a forwardmost point of the attachment area. A sensor can be mounted to, or within, the cantilevered portion forward of the forwardmost point.

Abstract: Disclosed herein are system, method, and computer program product embodiments for generating a set of correlated applications by a recommendation system to resolve an incident for an application service (AS). The recommendation system can determine an AS-to-AS similarity matrix based on incident data and contextual data, an AS-to-AS affinity matrix based on the incident data and contextual data, and generate a set of correlated applications based on the similarity matrix and the affinity matrix. The set of correlated applications can also be generated based on pairwise application associations, where an application association between a first application and a second application indicates that the first application and the second application can occur together in an incident or to be changed together as indicated by a change record.

Abstract: This application relates to apparatus and methods for electronically generating, and executing, component models for systems and system components, and determining component options for the system based on the executed component models. In some examples, a computing device generates component models for one or more components of a system. The component models may be based on features, inputs, and outputs to each system component. The computing device may execute the component models to determine one or more requirements for each component. The computing device may then search a database to determine component options that can satisfy the one or more requirements. In some examples, the computing device may display the determined component options, and may allow for the selection of one or more of the determined component options. In some examples, the computing device may allow for the purchase of the component options.

Abstract: A contact list management system may receive user information associated with a user and contact profile information associated with a set of contacts. The contact list management system may determine, using a machine learning model and based on the user information and the contact profile information, confidence scores corresponding to contacts included in the set of contacts. The confidence scores may indicate a likelihood of a future contribution to the user by contacts included in the set of contacts. The contact list management system may generate, based on the confidence scores, a contact list including a set of prioritized contacts. The contact list management system may provide the contact list.

Abstract: This disclosure provides novel methods and systems for obtaining a retirement-oriented insurance product using the equity of residential property through a home equity insurance financing solutions (HEIFS) subsystem. In particular, the amount of equity of the residential property available for financing the insurance premium is not leveraged through the debt product, and the disclosed methods and systems do not require payments from the homeowner until the homeowner passes away or permanently moves out of the residential property.

Abstract: An electrical machine includes a rotationally-fixed stator defining a rotational axis of the electrical machine and having a plurality of stator magnetic poles, the stator magnetic poles disposed about the rotational axis. The electrical machine also has a rotor rotatably mounted coaxially with the rotational axis and axially spaced from the stator, the rotor having a plurality of permanent magnets facing the stator magnetic poles. Each stator magnetic pole includes a plurality of ferromagnetic laminations in a lamination stack that extends from a radially-inward extent to a radially-outward extent relative to the rotational axis, and a ferromagnetic composite pole portion affixed to the radially-outward extent or the radially-inward extent of the lamination stack of the stator magnetic pole.

Abstract: The present disclosure facilitates improving the operation of a cloud service by updating its configuration information and its resource requirements. The resource utilization of the cloud service can be monitored, and a decision logic module can determine whether action is required. When action is required, an update can be prepared and applied, and notifications can be generated about the condition and its resolution. Resolutions can require correlation of multiple cloud services to provide real-time access to information that is not otherwise available to a single entity. Resolutions can be learned and predicted in a number of ways using a predictive engine.

Abstract: A radio-frequency (RF) redundancy method includes designating a plurality of RF gateways as initial primary RF gateways and designating an additional RF gateway as an initial backup RF gateway for the satellite communication system. A fault condition is detected in a first initial primary RF gateway, and a first switchover process is performed to switch the first initial primary RF gateway to a current backup RF gateway and to switch the initial backup RF gateway to a first current primary RF gateway. When a second initial primary RF gateway has the fault condition, a second switchover process is performed to switch the current backup RF gateway to a second current primary RF gateway and to switch the second initial primary RF gateway to the current backup RF gateway.

The processing circuitry determines whether a secondary transform is to be applied to the first primary transform coefficient block based on a position of a non-zero transform coefficient in the first primary transform coefficient block. Based on the secondary transform being applied to the first primary transform coefficient block, the processing circuitry generates a secondary transform coefficient block based on the first primary transform coefficient block and a secondary transform core of the current block. A size of the secondary transform core is greater than a size of the first primary transform coefficient block.

Abstract: This invention relates to compositions comprising heparin-like oligosaccharides with defined structures that are covalently connected together at a precise distance from each other by flexible linkers, and to the method for the manufacture of said oligosaccharides. Particularly this invention relates to the design and the method of manufacturing of ‘spaced-heparinoids’ of Formulas 1 and 2, wherein S1, S2, S3, S4, and S5 independently comprise mono- or oligosaccharides sequences connected by length-adjustable linkers, L1, L2, and L3. The spaced heparinoids are synthesized from short sequences of synthetic oligosaccharides with varying sulfation patterns which are covalently linked to each other through aliphatic linkers. The present invention also discloses a new method of manufacture that will generate non-polydisperse and linear head-to-tail heparinoids that are linked to each other through a “isocyanate-amine” amide bond forming chemistry.

A first plant having a first root system is disposed in a substrate contained in the first growing container. A first holding container is configured to contain the first growing container therein. The first holding container includes a fluid connection. The fluid connection is in fluid communication with the supply tank. The first root system is configured to receive a first portion of the water from the irrigation pump via drip irrigation and the fluid connection is configured to return a second portion of the water to the supply tank.

Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses are described herein for associating past auction bidding activity with subsequent financial transactions. A computing device may receive, from a web browser plugin of a web browser application executing on a user computing device, bid information relating to bids placed by a user on an auction website. Such information may be collected by, for example, scraping the Document Object Model of the website. After the auction ends, the computing device may determine a plurality of different candidate financial transactions for the user. Based on an estimated payment amount, the computing device may select, from the plurality of different candidate financial transactions, a matching financial transaction, then output an association between a bid and the matching financial transaction.
