Abstract: This disclosure details exemplary battery pack designs for use in electrified vehicles. An exemplary battery pack may include a multi-piece enclosure assembly and an urethane based adhesive. The urethane based adhesive may function as both a fastener for securing the enclosure assembly components together and as a seal for blocking the ingress of moisture into the interior of the battery pack. Associated battery pack assembly methods are also disclosed.
Abstract: An age and/or identity verification system for reduced-risk devices (RRD) may include a RRD, the RRD initially in an inoperable state, an identity verification server configured to perform identity verification related to an adult consumer, and a computing device. The computing device may receive adult consumer identity information corresponding to the adult consumer from the adult consumer, receive the UID of the RRD, transmit the adult consumer identity information and the UID of the RRD to the identity verification server to perform identity verification of the adult consumer, receive results of the performed identity verification from the identity verification server, receive an encrypted key corresponding to the RRD based on the results of the performed identity verification of the adult consumer, and transmit the encrypted key to the RRD. The RRD may change the state of the RRD to an operable state based on the encrypted key.
Abstract: A label stack assembly and method and system for preparing the label stack assembly is disclosed herein. The label stack assembly may be applied to a product in order to provide care instructions in multiple different languages. Individual pages of the label stack assembly may have separate content, such as translations of care instructions into multiple languages, and may be marked by tabs of various shapes, sizes, or styles that may protrude from an edge of the label stack assembly. Tabs may be marked with country codes indicating the translations or other information. The pages of the label stack assembly may be printed on both a front and a back side, such as may be desired, in order to minimize the number of pages used while maximizing the number of care instruction translations or other content pages.

Abstract: Example embodiments of systems and methods for data transmission between a contactless card and a server are provided. The card may include an applet, a counter, and a plurality of encryption keys. The applet may rotate the plurality of keys based on a predetermined key rotation, select one or more keys for a cryptographic operation, perform the operation using the selected keys and the counter to generate a cryptographic result, and transmit the result and the counter to the server. Upon receipt of the result, a server, in communication with the card and containing the plurality of encryption keys, may rotate the plurality of keys based on the predetermined key rotation, select one or more keys for decryption, wherein the keys selected by the server matches the keys selected by the applet, and perform the decryption on the result.
Abstract: A device may receive audio data based on a capturing of sounds associated with a structure. The device may obtain a model associated with the structure. The model may have been trained to receive the audio data as input, determine a score that identifies a likelihood that a sound is present in the audio data, and identify the sound based on the score. The device may determine at least one parameter associated with the sound. The device may generate a metric based on the at least one parameter associated with the sound, and perform an action based on the metric.

Abstract: A method, computer program, and computer system is provided for coding video data. Video data including a reference view and a current view is received. A co-located block in the reference view is identified for a current block in the current view. A predicted block vector is calculated based on an offset vector between the current block and the co-located block, and a disparity vector between the co-located block and the reference block in the reference view. The video data is encoded/decoded based on the calculated predicted block vector.

Abstract: Techniques for updating a position of overlaid image content using IMU data to reflect subsequent changes in camera positions to minimize latency effects are disclosed. A “system camera” refers to an integrated camera that is a part of an HMD. An “external camera” is a camera that is separated from the HMD. The system camera and the external camera generate images. These images are overlaid on one another and aligned to form an overlaid image. Content from the external camera image is surrounded by a bounding element in the overlaid image. IMU data associated with both the system camera and the external camera is obtained. Based on that IMU data, an amount of movement that the system camera and/or the external camera have moved since the images were originally generated is determined. Based on that movement, the bounding element is shifted to a new position in the overlaid image.

Abstract: A method for pre-utilizing tables before refresh includes selecting a query for execution in a data analytics application and identifying a table specified by the query, for instance a materialized table.
