Abstract: System, method, and apparatus for harnessing geothermal power from superhot geothermal fluid (SHGF) and magma reservoirs. An exemplary embodiment is directed to a cased wellbore includes a well casing suspended within a borehole that extends between a surface and an underground reservoir of magma and a boiler casing housed within the well casing and extending between the surface and the underground reservoir of magma. The boiler casing has a first end submerged within the underground reservoir of magma and a terminal end opposite to the first end. The cased wellbore also includes a fluid conduit housed within the boiler casing and configured to deliver a liquid-phase fluid to the terminal end of the boiler casing. A temperature and a pressure at the terminal end of the boiler casing converts the liquid-phase fluid into a gas-phase fluid that travels through the boiler casing towards the surface. The cased wellbore also includes a well head connected to the first end of the boiler casing.
Abstract: Methods and systems are provided that are directed to automatically adjusting a user interface based on tilt position of a digital drawing board. The digital drawing board has a tiltable screen with a sensor. The tiltable screen may be fixed in a stable tilt position. A sensor is used to determine that the digital drawing board has a first tilt position. The digital drawing board displays a first user interface associated with the first tilt position. The first user interface may be associated with a first use mode, and may also be based on an application running on the digital drawing board. When the sensor senses that the digital drawing board has moved from the first tilt position to a second tilt position, it automatically displays a second user interface associated with a second tilt position. The second user interface may be associated with a second use mode.

Abstract: A novel cell for generating ozonated water, the cell comprises a nafion membrane separating a diamond coated anode, and a gold surfaced cathode enclosed within a cell housing with the catalyst side of the nafion membrane facing the cathode. The cell housing has a cathode housing portion and an anode housing portion separated by the membrane, each housing portion having ridges to enhance substantially even flow of fluid over the cathode and anode. The housing portions contain O-rings in grooves to prevent leaks, and alignment features to keep the electrodes aligned. The cathode and anode have an array of holes allowing fluid to penetrate to the surface of the niobium membrane. Input ports allow fluid to flow into the housing and over the anode and cathode and then out of the housing through outlet ports. The housing may also incorporate an integrated spectral photometer including a bubble trap.
Abstract: An actuator module includes a baseplate extending in a plane, a voice coil connected to the baseplate, and a magnet assembly. The actuator module also includes a rigid frame attached to the baseplate, the rigid frame comprising four stubs. The actuator module further includes a pair of springs suspending the magnet assembly relative to the frame and baseplate so that the voice coil extends into the air gap, the pair of springs including a first and second spring each shaped as a loop defining an aperture sized to accommodate motion of the magnet assembly along a direction of the coil axis, the first spring being attached to the frame at a first pair of the four stubs, the second spring being attached to the frame at a second pair of the four stubs, and both being attached to separate portions of the magnet assembly.

Abstract: Embodiments of golf club heads, golf clubs, and methods to manufacture golf club heads and golf clubs are generally described herein. A golf club head includes a face portion having an outer face portion surrounding a face opening and a face insert portion coupled to the outer face portion to close the face opening. A front groove and a back groove are located at a front surface and a back surface of the face portion, respectively. The front and back grooves define an inner area portion for striking a golf ball. The front and back grooves are configured to enhance deflection and rebounding of the inner area portion during impact with the golf ball. The front groove has a groove length that is the same or about the same as a groove length of the back groove. Other examples and embodiments may be described and claimed.

Abstract: A replicated block storage service provides durable and high performance network-attached storage replicated in two or more zones of a single region, and remains available despite a single zone failure. A probe file is generated to determine a health state of a replicated disk. When a disk is degraded, a lease is created indicating which replica is trusted and providing visibility to backend jobs to facilitate reconciliation of data between the first replica and the second replica. Moreover, degraded file markers are generated for use by the backend jobs in quickly identifying the data to be copied.
