  • Patent number: 11840158
Abstract: A method includes determining a threshold capacity associated with at least a first unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) and a second UAV. The method includes initially setting a target charge voltage of a first battery of the first UAV to less than a full charge voltage to limit a state of charge of the first battery based on the threshold capacity. The method includes, over a lifetime of the first battery of the first UAV, periodically comparing a full charge capacity of the first battery to the threshold capacity. The method includes, based on the comparing, periodically adjusting the target charge voltage of the first battery, such that, as the full charge capacity of the first battery decreases with age, the target charge voltage increases towards the full charge voltage of the first battery.

  • Patent number: 11840453
Abstract: A coating that is configured for use on parts of a control valve. The configurations may incorporate various material layers, preferably that form a layered structure on a base or substrate (for example, an Inconel body). In one implementation, the layered structure can be arranged as “stacked” individual layers that exhibit different concentrations or ratios of materials, including by example tungsten carbide and nickel alloy. The concentration of tungsten carbide may increase from an innermost layer to an outer most layer. This feature can extend service life of the parts, particularly when in use with highly-erosive process fluids, like particle-entrained fluids commonly found in hydrocracking or refining operations. Manufacture of the layered structure on the parts may require use of additive manufacturing technology in order to deposit layers of material of varying composition and thickness on the unique fluted design contemplated herein.

  • Patent number: 11843346
Abstract: A photovoltaic system includes a collection of photovoltaic modules, a base supporting the collection of photovoltaic modules, and a damper coupled between the collection of photovoltaic modules and the base. The damper resists movement of the photovoltaic modules relative to the base. The damper has a first damping ratio when the collection of photovoltaic modules moves at a first rate relative to the base and a second damping ratio when the collection of photovoltaic modules moves at a second rate relative to the base, and the damper passively transitions from the first damping ratio to the second damping ratio.

  • Patent number: 11839768
Abstract: Disclosed are methods to treat patients with AFib by monitoring their heart rhythm to determine the presence and/or the number of episodes of long duration AFib, and optionally the extent of AFib burden. Patients who meet threshold requirements are qualified for the treatment of AFib with a dosage of budiodarone. Patient monitoring is continued in order confirm that the patient is and remains responsive to budiodarone therapy including dose adjusting the patient to achieve such therapy. Subsequently, monitoring is continued to confirm that the patient remains responsive. These methods allow for treatment of the AFib and, correspondingly, reduce or delay the risk of stroke and/or congestive heart failure in the treated patient.

  • Patent number: 11841978
Abstract: This disclosure relates to preserving the privacy of users and preventing access to information of other entities. In one aspect, a method includes receiving, from a client device, a content request including request signals specifying user group identifiers that each identify a user group that includes a user of the client device. One or more user group identifiers that satisfy a first k-anonymity process are identified. Selection parameter elements that each include data indicating a respective digital component and a selection parameter for the respective digital component are received from one or more first content platforms. At least a portion of the selection parameters and, for each selection parameter, data identifying the first content platform from which the selection parameter was received are transmitted to a second content platform. Data specifying a given first content platform selected based on the selection parameters is received from the second content platform.

  • Patent number: 11842037
Abstract: In some implementations, a user device may present, on a user interface (UI) associated with a user account, a first UI element. The user device may detect a user interaction, with the user device, indicating the first UI element. The user device may present, on the UI and based on the user interaction, a second UI element, which increases in length in a first direction from a start point, along a closed path around the first UI element and ending at the start point, while the user interaction is being detected. The second UI element completes the closed path when an interaction duration satisfies a duration threshold, which indicates a confirmation of a request for an action associated with the user account. The duration threshold is based on one or more parameters associated with one or more of the action, the user account, or the user interaction.

  • Patent number: 11842238
Abstract: Logic may detect a malfunctioning payment interface on a customer's payment instrument. Logic may receive transaction data about at least one transaction performed via a payment instrument associated with a customer. The transaction data may indicate a payment interface of the payment instrument through which the customer conducted the at least one transaction and the payment instrument may comprise one or more payment interfaces. Logic may determine, by a model, based on the transaction data, a probability of a malfunction by at least one interface of the one or more payment interfaces. The model may be trained based on a pattern of transactions associated with malfunctioning payment instruments. Logic may compare the probability of the transaction against a threshold. And logic may determine whether to contact a customer associated with the payment instrument, based comparison of the probability of the transaction against the threshold.

  • Patent number: 11842310
Abstract: A risk assessment system is provided and includes a transceiver, an output device, and activity, localization, tracking, and risk assessment modules. The activity module: receives signals from sensors or electrical devices of a supporting structure; and tracks activities in or within a set distance of the supporting structure to generate an activity history log. The localization module relates the activities to aspects of the supporting structure and generates corresponding localization data. The transceiver receives a notification key identifying a network device used by a user exposed to a contaminant. The tracking module, in response to the notification key, tracks contamination states of the aspects of the supporting structure contacted directly or indirectly by the user. The risk assessment module determines and reports an exposure risk level of an occupant of the supporting structure based on the contamination states, the localization data and the activity history log.
