Abstract: The present disclosure document is directed to an extendable, collapsible table. The table includes a table top with at least one pair of legs extending pivotably from its underside and at least one pair of extension panels. The extension panels are configured to be attached as shelves to slots on vertical table edges or on the horizontal table top face, or configured to be stored in slots on bars between the pairs of legs. For transport, the pairs of legs, with or without stored extension panels, are pivotably retracted. A user pulls a handgrip near one side of the table top to roll the transportable system using at least one wheel near an opposite side of the table top. The transportable system operates as a dolly when one extension panel is coupled to the horizontal table top face in a location nearest the at least one wheel.

Abstract: A head-mounted device (HMD) has a segmented metal chassis including a plurality of physically separate radio frequency (RF) antennas corresponding to different head regions. The HMD further includes a plurality of RF transceivers, each electrically connected to a corresponding RF antenna. Each RF transceiver is configured to drive the corresponding RF antenna with a drive signal at a frequency within a resonant frequency band of the corresponding RF antenna and sense a frequency response to the drive signal. The HMD further includes a plurality of notch filter circuits, each electrically connected in series with a corresponding RF antenna. Each notch filter is configured to attenuate signals at frequencies within the resonant frequency band of the corresponding RF antenna and pass signals at frequencies outside of the resonant frequency band, such that the segmented metal chassis functions as a common ground plane.
Abstract: In at least one embodiment, a well inspection method and system enables transmission of an acoustic signal from a well inspection tool into a well structure and reception of return signals from the well structure at an array of receivers on the well inspection tool. The method and system enable performing of Short-Term Fourier Transform (STFT) on the return signals to generate spectrogram data that is used to determine short-term power spectra of the return signals. Time-dependent frequency response and location-dependent waveform propagation patterns are identified from the short-term power spectra. Cement bonding conditions is determined based on pattern matching using the time-dependent frequency response patterns and using the location-dependent waveform propagation patterns.

Abstract: In 5G and 6G, a message received with even a single-bit fault generally discarded and a retransmission is requested. However, the faulted message contains a wealth of information that the receiver can use to avoid, or at least mitigate, such faults thereafter. Disclosed is a method for comparing a faulted message with an unfaulted copy, thereby determining which part of the message is faulted, and specifically how it was faulted. For example, the fault may have been an amplitude fault in which a demodulated amplitude differs by one level from the initially modulated amplitude, or it may be a phase fault in which the received phase differs by one phase level, or there may be a displacement by multiple amplitude or phase levels (a non-adjacent fault). Different mitigation strategies are disclosed for each situation, including AI models configured to select a suitable modulation scheme to combat specific faults.
Abstract: This disclosure provides compositions and methods directed to thermally stable catalyst systems, which display stable physical properties and/or stable catalytic properties after thermal pretreatment at a temperature in the range of about 600° C. to about 1000° C. The catalyst systems include metal particles which contain a stable metal and a catalytic metal deposited on a porous support. Embodiments of the disclosure include catalyst systems that can be used in high temperature applications such as the hybrid sulfur cycle. The hybrid sulfur cyclic is an elevated temperature and high acid reaction that may be conducted using concentrated sulfuric acid heated to 800° C. Embodiments of the disclosure can provide thermally stable catalysts and methods to produce thermally stable catalysts that remain active for at least 80 hours' exposure to these harsh conditions.

Abstract: A method to provide flexibility on the configuration and operation of the modulator, demodulator, and modem, where purpose-built (legacy) devices are not traditionally capable of exposing a level of control and flexibly for a user or an autonomous program for optimizing performance. Providing user or programmatic control of algorithms is traditionally not possible for purpose-built modems. Parameters such as the number of decoder iterations that are performed on Forward Error Correction (FEC), Interference Mitigation algorithm, or dynamic adjustment loop bandwidth to combat phase noise can be adjusted autonomously to optimize receiver performance. The all software modem, supported by a High-Performance Computing (HPC) architecture, removes the limitation due to the flexibility of programming resources and available performance.

Abstract: Non-limiting examples of the present disclosure describe implementation of an exemplary synchronization protocol to identify file data for synchronization as well as negotiate how to achieve data transport for synchronization of the file data. In one example, a request for synchronization of data is received from a processing device. In response to receiving the request, a response is generated. The response may comprise: identification of file data for synchronization, instructions for accessing the file data and instructions indicating a data transport protocol to utilize to obtain the file data. The response may be transmitted to the processing device, for example, to enable the processing device to synchronize file data. Other examples are also described.

Abstract: Systems and methods relating to communication over relatively low power protocols by adding reliability functionality are presented. Sent messages having reliability functionality include an acknowledgment request flag that indicates that the message includes a request to acknowledge the request once received and an application payload that includes data for the message. The acknowledgment request flag causes responding devices to send an acknowledgment message to the sending device indicating that the sent message has been received.
