Abstract: Techniques provide for data deduplication. Such techniques involve: allocating a storage area in a storage device, the storage area including a first storage segment for storing an incompressible data block and a second storage segment for storing a compressed data block, a first size of the first storage segment being greater than a second size of the second storage segment; in response to receiving a write request, determining whether data block to which the write request is related is compressible; in response to determining that the data block is incompressible, adding header information to the data block to generate a first data segment of the first size; and storing the first data segment in the first storage segment through a deduplication operation. Accordingly, such techniques can increase the flexibility and efficiency of data deduplication.

Abstract: Systems and methods of the present disclosure enable automated identification of restrictions on reversals of data entries by receiving location data from a computing device associated with a user, and utilizing a data profile classification machine learning model to classify a particular data profile according to a data profile classification type based at least in part on a history of data entries associated with the particular data profile when the physical location is within a predetermined proximity of another physical location associated with the particular data profile. A reversal rate of data entries in the history of data entries is determined for the particular data profile. An electronic activity reversal restriction is determined where the reversal rate is below a predetermined value, and a pop-up notification is presented on the computing device notifying the user of the electronic activity reversal restriction of the particular data profile.

Abstract: A device for mounting an electronic device to a surface comprising a main body, an electronic device holder, a mounting apparatus and a lever. The electronic device holder comprises a planar member affixed to the main body and holds the electronic device. The mounting apparatus is affixed to the main body, and securely attaches the device to the surface. The lever includes a first end pivotally attached to the main body and in communication with the mounting apparatus, and a second end for engagement by a user. The lever is movable from a first position where the lever is vertically oriented causing the mounting apparatus to engage the surface, and a second position where the lever is horizontally oriented and extends through a slot in the planar member of the electronic device holder into where the electronic device is mounted causing the mounting apparatus to release from the vertical surface.
Abstract: A storage tote includes a main body with a base wall and a plurality of side walls. The base wall has a center area, a central ridge, a first side ridge, and a second side ridge. The center area is bounded by the plurality of side walls. The central ridge bisects the base wall. In addition, the central ridge has a first wall, a second wall, and a third wall. The first side ridge and the second side ridge are disposed across the center area and oriented parallel to the central ridge. The first side ridge is spaced apart from the first wall of the central ridge, while the second side ridge is spaced apart from the second wall of the central ridge.
Abstract: An example method for processing wind field data includes generating wind field base data using the preliminary data and one or more empirical equations based on climatology. The wind field base data includes multiple data sets each associated with a different time-point in a first set of time-points. The method also includes performing spatial interpolation and temporal interpolation over the wind field base data to generate a sequence of two-dimensional wind field representations each associated with a different time-point in a second set of time-points, and visualizing the sequence of two-dimensional wind field representations.

Abstract: An application designed for the current version of a system runs at a standard clock frequency of a current version of the system. Running the application at the standard clock frequency includes synchronizing operation of a processor of the current version of the system with the standard clock frequency. An application designed for a different version of the system characterized by a different standard clock frequency runs at a second clock frequency that is different than the standard clock frequency. Running the application at the second clock frequency includes synchronizing operation of the processor of the current version of the system with the second clock frequency.
Abstract: Techniques are described in which a system having multiple processing units processes a series of work units in a processing pipeline, where some or all of the work units access or manipulate data stored in non-coherent memory. In one example, this disclosure describes a method that includes identifying, prior to completing processing of a first work unit with a processing unit of a processor having multiple processing units, a second work unit that is expected to be processed by the processing unit after the first work unit. The method also includes processing the first work unit, and prefetching, from non-coherent memory, data associated with the second work unit into a second cache segment of the buffer cache, wherein prefetching the data associated with the second work unit occurs concurrently with at least a portion of the processing of the first work unit by the processing unit.

Abstract: In a computer-implemented method, a selected online advertisement is automatically directed to, or online activity is automatically tracked and recorded from, an online user interface device which corresponds, at the time the advertisement is directed or the activity is tracked, to a first online access identifier. The advertisement is directed or the activity is tracked based on information from a user profile that references or includes a first set-top box identifier. That information is derived at least in part from automatically collected data related to user behavior with respect to at least one television advertisement delivered to a set-top box, which set-top box corresponds, at the time of that user behavior, to the first set-top box identifier. The first online access identifier is associated with the first set-top box identifier, by being referenced or included in the user profile, by being associated in a database, or otherwise.
Abstract: A radio communication route enables communication from an originating ground station to a destination ground station via one of multiple randomly orbiting satellites with no active attitude control. The ground stations and satellites include multi-feed parabolic antennas for receiving radio signals from and transmitting radio signals in multiple directions. The satellites store an address of a destination ground station from which an initial information signal is transmitted and antenna information identifying the satellite antenna feed on which the initial information signal was received. Plural satellite antennas transmit linking information identifying the satellite to the originating ground station.
Abstract: The present disclosure relates to determining communication inclusivity amongst speakers during a user communication. Communication inclusivity is a targeted analysis that collectively evaluates speaking opportunities (provided and taken by users) during a user communication and thought completion during speech associated with the user communication. To derive communication inclusivity, a user communication is modeled as a probabilistic interaction between speakers, where a sequence of speaking states of the user communication is identified and analyzed. Non-limiting examples of speaking states comprise: active user speech; periods of silence; overlapping speakers; icon indication; questions in corresponding chat windows; combination states; other contextual signals; and any combination thereof. With these observed sequences of speaking states, a probability distribution is modeled over transitions between states to predict inclusivity of a user communication.
Abstract: A wireless device determines first timings that a first cell and second timings that a second cell is the applicable cell for PUCCH transmission. The wireless device may transmit a first scheduled CSI report in a first report timing via the first cell based on the first report timing being within the first timings. The wireless device may drop a second scheduled CSI report, scheduled for transmission in a second report timing via the first cell, based on the second report timing being within the second timings.
