Patent number: 11831736Abstract: A caching entity may store a cached copy of a service layer resource. An original hosting entity may maintain a registry of the corresponding cached resources. Optionally, the original hosting entity may set cache parameters to govern the lifetime of the cache on a caching entity. The caching entity may keep storing the cached copy of the resource and the original hosting entity may obtain statistics about the cached resource. By knowing the statistics, e.g. how many times a resource is retrieved on each caching entity, the original hosting entity may better manage the resource.Type: GrantFiled: June 16, 2022Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: Convida Wireless, LLCInventors: Zhuo Chen, Dale N. Patent number: 11832085Abstract: Techniques for using a network to decompose an HRTF data set to generate approximation data and to render an audio signal using the approximation data are disclosed herein. An input HRTF data set is fed into the network, which then generates approximation data that includes mixing channel gains, FIR filter coefficients, and basis filter shapes. This approximation data controls various components in the network. When the input HRTF data set is fed as input into the network, then the output of the network is an output approximated HRTF data set. The network iteratively fine tunes the approximation data until the output approximated HRTF data set sufficiently matches the input HRTF data set. After the approximation data is sufficiently tuned, the approximation data is later used by the network to render an audio signal.Type: GrantFiled: March 18, 2022Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: Microsoft Technology Licensing, LLCInventors: Mick Kekoa Marchan, Andrew Stewart Allen

Patent number: 11831501Abstract: Techniques are described for generating a virtualized network function (VNF) descriptor (VNFD) indicative of resources for managing VNF components (VNFCs) across a plurality of virtualized infrastructure managers (VIMs) implemented in a virtualized computing environment configured in a user-specific configuration. A VNFD generator receives a solution description file (SDF) encoding user input pertaining to the user-specific configuration, and a VNFC descriptor encoding VNFC specific information. The SDF and VNFC descriptor are validated and translated to generate an abstracted VNFD that is independent of renderers implemented at the virtualized computing environment. The abstracted VNFD is translated to a VNFD that is specific to the renderers and VIM and VNFD-specific information at the virtualized computing environment.Type: GrantFiled: December 27, 2022Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: MICROSOFT TECHNOLOGY LICENSING, LLCInventors: Andrew Lee, James Duncan Parsons, Andrew Munro Caldwell, David Charles Hotham, Michael André Duppré, Philip Joel Davies, Joseph Ellis Darracott Powell

Patent number: 11829367Abstract: Methods, systems, and apparatuses for providing access to records of a database stored on a database server in a cloud database platform are described herein. A data sharing platform may determine a shared view definition for access to the database. The data sharing platform may determine rules that specify criteria that limit access to the records stored by the database. The one or more first rules may be received via a user interface. The data sharing platform may perform, based on the rules, a data access certification process on the records stored by the database to generate a table of certification results. The data sharing platform may generate, based on the table of certification results, and without modifying the records stored by the database, a limited consumer view definition. Based on updates to the records, a new limited consumer view definition may be generated.Type: GrantFiled: December 14, 2021Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: Capital One Services, LLCInventors: Nagender Gurram, Yudhish Batra, Syed Shamaz Salim, Praveen Kandukuri

Patent number: 11832066Abstract: A method and multimedia device for calibrating audio delays of an audio system with wireless loudspeakers are disclosed. The method allows to emulate surround or 3D sound systems with spatially distributed wireless loudspeakers. A first probe signal for audio playback, having a first audio pattern, is transmitted by a loudspeaker. A signal quality is determined by listening to an acoustic response of the loudspeaker to the first probe signal. A second audio pattern is determined by modifying the first audio pattern based on the signal quality. A second probe signal for audio playback having the second audio pattern is transmitted by the loudspeaker. An audio delay compensation is then determined for the loudspeaker based on a measure of an audio delay between the transmitted second probe signal and an acoustic response of the loudspeaker in response to the second probe signal.Type: GrantFiled: June 3, 2022Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: Google LLCInventors: William Escande, Thomas Girardier

Patent number: 11831717Abstract: A low-power wide area network supports IP communication between a wireless device and an IP application node. The LPWAN server provides the application node's IP address and a compression/decompression protocol to the device, which applies the protocol (i) to generate a compressed uplink IP header for wireless transmission to LPWAN radio gateway(s), where the compressed IP header is subsequently decompressed to form an uplink IP packet for transmission to the application node and (ii) to decompress a compressed downlink IP header received from a radio gateway, where the compressed IP header was generated from an uncompressed downlink IP header from the IP application node. The device can also segment large uplink IP packets and reassemble large downlink IP packets. In a LoRaWAN network, the join server facilitates arriving at a common compression/decompression protocol and assigns an IP address to the device to enable IP communication with an IP application client.Type: GrantFiled: October 21, 2020Date of Patent: November 28, 2023Assignee: Charter Communications Operating, LLCInventors: Umamaheswar A Kakinada, Wael Guibene, Hossam Hmimy
