Abstract: A system and method of generating a player tracking prediction are described herein. A computing system retrieves a broadcast video feed for a sporting event. The computing system segments the broadcast video feed into a unified view. The computing system generates a plurality of data sets based on the plurality of trackable frames. The computing system calibrates a camera associated with each trackable frame based on the body pose information. The computing system generates a plurality of sets of short tracklets based on the plurality of trackable frames and the body pose information. The computing system connects each set of short tracklets by generating a motion field vector for each player in the plurality of trackable frames. The computing system predicts a future motion of a player based on the player's motion field vector using a neural network.

Abstract: This disclosure relates generally to a prime mover system. More specifically, this disclosure relates to a prime mover exhaust system that can prevent the accumulation of debris (e.g., soot or unburned fuel) in the prime mover system. In accordance with at least one embodiment described and recited herein, a self-cleaning prime mover exhaust system is provided. The prime mover exhaust system includes an exhaust tip, an exhaust pipe, and a cleaning tube. The exhaust tip is configured to eject exhaust out of the prime mover exhaust system, the exhaust pipe is configured to direct the exhaust away from a prime mover, and the cleaning tube is configured to accumulate debris exiting from the exhaust pipe and configured to vacuum the debris out of the self-cleaning prime mover exhaust system through the exhaust tip using the Venturi effect.

Abstract: A hockey skate includes a fiber-reinforced, composite frame, or an injected plastic frame, including a boot form and integral pedestals that serve as a blade-holder. The pedestals are integral with the bottom of the boot sole and are optionally spaced relatively far apart to provide a long span between them. An optional bridge assembly may be used to connect the blade to the pedestals. The bridge assembly may provide increased stiffness and vibration damping, as well as customized fit options.

Abstract: A polymer composition comprising an organic polymer and a mica containing effect pigment, e.g., a pearlescent pigment comprising mica, well suited for producing molded articles, in particular, for molding articles comprising thin sections and or delicate features, such as a hollow interior defined by a thin wall or structural features susceptible to tear or other damage and the like, is provided as are a method for preparing molded articles comprising the polymer composition and articles comprising the polymer composition, including, for example, an article used to deliver a medical or personal care component such as a tampon applicator, and a method for preparing molded articles comprising the polymer composition. Optionally, articles of the present disclosure have a varying translucency or opacity about a dimension of the article.

Abstract: A method of fabricating panels includes providing an insert having an interior portion with a top portion and a positioning stop opposite the top portion, and an exterior portion including a fastener hem. Further, the method includes placing the insert in a mold such that only the fastener hem and the positioning stop contact the mold and centering the insert in the mold with the top portion and the positioning stop. The method also includes filling the mold with a casting material such that the interior portion is submerged in the casting material including the top portion, but some of the positioning stop is not submerged in the casting material, curing the casting material to form a panel on the insert, and removing the panel form the mold.

Abstract: Hydrofluoroolefin (“HFO”)-containing isocyanate-reactive compositions, foam-forming compositions containing such isocyanate-reactive compositions, rigid foams made using such foam-forming compositions, and methods for producing such foams, including use of such foams as panel insulation. The isocyanate-reactive compositions include a polyol composition, a blowing agent composition, and a catalyst composition. The polyol composition includes 50% to 80% by weight, based on total weight of the polyol composition, of an aromatic polyester polyol having a functionality of 1.5 to 2.5 and an OH number of 150 to 360 mg KOH/g, and an amine-initiated polyether polyol having an OH number of more than 500 mg KOH/g and a functionality of 2.5 to 4. The blowing agent composition includes a hydrofluoroolefin and water. The catalyst composition includes a morpholine, an imidazole, a quaternary ammonium carboxylate, and a metal carboxylate.

Abstract: Methods and apparatus for real-time security monitoring on a computing device are presented. A system may define privileges to access hardware interfaces for each process of a plurality of processes executing on a computing device. The privileges may be defined in a privileged operating system level that controls root access to an operating system. In response to a determination that a process is attempting to access a hardware interface, the system may determine whether the process is privileged to access the hardware interface by checking the privileges. In response to determining that the process is not privileged to access the hardware interface, the intrusion detection agent may terminate the process.

Abstract: An illustrative wearable hearing device or hearing aid includes: a speaker that converts a reproduced signal into reproduced audio; a microphone that converts ambient audio into a receive signal, the ambient audio potentially including a feedback component; a feedback filter that filters the reproduced signal to obtain an estimated feedback component; a combiner that derives the reproduced signal from the receive signal at least in part by subtracting the estimated feedback component; and a controller that, subject to an adaptation rate, adjusts coefficients of the feedback filter to at least partially cancel the feedback component, the controller varying the adaption rate based at least in part on one or more proximity sensor signals.

Abstract: A set-top box with self-monitoring and system and method for use of the same are disclosed. In one embodiment of the set-top box, a housing secures a television input, a television output, a processor, memory, and storage therein, which are communicatively interconnected by a busing architecture. The memory is accessible to the processor, and the memory includes processor-executable instructions that, when executed, cause the processor to detect when the television is not being utilized. Responsive thereto, the instructions cause the processor to scan channels received from the television input and generate a composite TV screen image data that may be resolved to a single TV screen image made from an assemblage of TV screen image captures corresponding to the scanned channels.

Abstract: Methods, devices, and systems allow for bootstrapping of a machine-to-machine device. In an embodiment, a bootstrap erase architecture allows the machine-to-machine server to manage bootstrap erase policies, detect access network specific events, initiate a bootstrap erase based on these policies and events, and allow for machine-to-machine server handover. In another embodiment, a device or gateway service capability layer may request its network service capability layer fetch data that the device or gateway, previously stored on a different network service capability layer. In another embodiment, when bootstrap erase is performed because the network service capability layer can no longer provide service to the device or gateway, the network service capability layer may recommend other NSCLs to the device or gateway. In another embodiment, a bootstrap erase procedure may be modified so that temporary identifiers may be assigned for a next bootstrapping event.

In some examples, an apparatus for video decoding includes receiving circuitry and processing circuitry. For example, the processing circuitry receives a bitstream including bits corresponding to residues associated with a prediction of a block in a coding tree unit (CTU) and determines a maximum transform size based on the CTU size. The maximum transform size is used in a partition to form, from the residues, one or more transform blocks that are respectively encoded into the bits. Then, the processing circuitry reconstructs based on the maximum transform size and from the bits the residues associated with the prediction of the block, and then the processing circuitry reconstructs samples of the block based on the reconstructed residues and the prediction of the block.

Abstract: A personal vaporizer is configured to be used with a battery assembly. An atomizer of the personal vaporizer is configured to atomize vaporizing media, which atomized media becomes entrained in air flowing through the vaporization chamber to form a vapor. The personal vaporizer can include a warming element that warms vaporizing media within the tank without atomizing such media in order to reduce the viscosity of such media and improve media flow within the tank. The warming element can be passive or electrically powered.

Abstract: A sensing apparatus for use in harsh environments to measure a target characteristic. The apparatus has a sensing element formed as a section of a coupled slow-wave structure including at least two impedance conductors each curled into a helix with opposing directions of winding around a dielectric base to form a resonator. The sensing element provides as an output signal a digital frequency that depends on the value of the measured characteristic. A target tube moves over the sensing element, covering and uncovering portions of the sensing element. An electronics module receives the output signal and displays the measured characteristic. A separate coaxial cable is connected to each impedance conductor on one end and to the electronics module on the other end, with the length of the coaxial cables separating the electronics module from the sensing element by a distance sufficient to avoid exposing the electronics module to the harsh environments.
